| | Entrance Hall Whether you are brand new to Hogwarts or have been here a while, the Entrance Hall is always a breath-taking sight to see. Always memorable are the high ceilings, the colourful portraits on the walls, and the grand marble staircase. Various torches light the large room, keeping it nice and cozy at all times of the year. Arched windows atop the staircase, featuring the four Hogwarts Founders in all of their glory, bring in natural lighting as well.
This room branches off to the rest of the castle. If you are standing by the enormous oak doors and the House hourglasses, to the right are the doors that lead to the Great Hall. Next to them are doors that will reveal a broom cupboard and the basement corridor. Opposite is a door to a stairwell that will take you do the dungeons and another that will take you down a corridor where the staff room and other rooms can be found. Going up the marble staircase will take you to a corridor that connects to the moving staircase chamber. There is a lot to see here, so take your time exploring!

Which she was, clearly. ”we should probably go find taller people too…like ones that can reach all the windows – oh, and older ones that know more spells like spells that make things airtight and all magically locked and impenetrable…barrier like things” this was like dooms-day-prepping here. They had to go right. ”or I mean, if people don’t mind I’d offer to sit on someones shoulders and close the taller windows too” there – see they had options. Ellie was waiting for directions from Headmaster Trent, but Graínne provided them instead. They needed to work together to close all the windows. It seemed like a simple enough task. "Okay Graínne I'll help you with the windows and to get some professor's here to assist after." They we're the only really 'tall' people Ellie could think of aside from seventh year boys and girls and she didn't know that many of them. "We could try casting colloportus on the windows Graínne. It's the only locking charm I can think of at the top of my head. It will be more effective if we cast it together. If it doesn't work you can sit on my shoulders." Getting professors would be their last option if all other ideas failed. Producing her wand Ellie casted "Colloportus!" at the nearest open windows.

| Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite Marvellous, more students to help keep that bloody thing out. While the Headmaster was no less unnerved by the the mist just on the other side of the now magically sealed door, he found himself having to draw for all his strength for the sake of the students who’d already jumped into action.
The man might have asked why they thought to physically close the windows when they had wands but thankfully the suggestion was made and things could go more smoothly.
Good. Excellent. “You girls seal every window you can find here, I’m going to go make a run around, check to see if there’s other places that need fortifying.” And grabbing a few extra professors on the way. The mist was now at their door. If he could help it, it would stay there.
Malachi gave a final glance around the entrance hall to ensure nothing was seeping in before turning and heading off at a jog.

Hogwarts RPG Name: The Narrator | Different TL follow me; everything is all right.
One late morning in March, while everyone is hard at work in lessons fortunately in the upper floors, the mist finds its way inside the castle. It settles low, having poured in through an open corridor not far from the entrance hall and quickly covers the entire ground floor.
Curiously, it stops just at the bottom of the staircases, not ascending to the first floor but that doesn’t stop it from following all the passageways and making its way lower.

| Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite It was eerie how silent the castle sometimes seemed with the fog just outside there door and it did absolutely nothing to calm his already erratic nerves. Those disappearances? They were just icing on top of a rather pungent cake he was being forced to eat and the thought never failed to send his stomach into knots.
The report he had to send to the parents...the board...the minister. Even now, it didn’t make sense to him. What had they been doing outside in the first place? How could he prevent others from deciding the mist wasn’t dangerous enough to be taken seriously?
The thoughts clouded his mind but not so much that he didn’t notice the mist the MOMENT he hit the top of the staircase. There it was. Down below. It...but how....wha.....
Malachi felt his blood run cold instantly and made an immediate beeline for the direction he’d just come from. The only thought that kept him from true panic was that he’d checked the schedules before leaving his office. After the next period, he intended to have an assembly with everyone down in the great hall and was getting an early start. The students were upstairs. Breathe Malachi. The students were upstairs.
He kept repeating this to himself over and over as he dashed up a second set of stairs. The greater the distance he created, the better. The man had an announcement to make. It was IN the castle. Sgdydgdudbdhdudj.
