| | Bronze Knocker If it is your life's ambition to explore every nook and cranny of the school, then odds are you have made the long walk up one of the tallest towers of the castle and stumbled upon a door with no knob. On it is just a simple bronze eagle knocker. This may be a disappointment to some because all of that climbing had been for nothing. Ravenclaws, however, know that this door is very special because behind it is their very airy common room.
Anyone can, of course, approach the knocker and try to get in. After all, to get by you only need to provide an answer to one of its riddles. This will only cause more disappointment to the overconfident non-Ravenclaws who think they can break into the common room at any time. The riddles that the knocker is awaiting answers for aren't exactly easy. Those belonging in the house of Rowena Ravenclaw should be able to answer with ease. Regardless of who answers, if the answer is incorrect the door will not open and you'll be left standing outside until someone comes along with the right answer.

| Nettie // Lissy you wanna fite? | 💚 nickleback 💚 | Uh, anyway. Maxie didn't know how long he'd been stuck out here but it felt like years. The Hufflepuff was sitting on the floor- a crumpled, frustrated mess- waiting impatiently for someone whether they be Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw to come along and let. him. in.
Now, truth be told, Maxie had not even attempted the riddle the bronze knocker had put forward, and truth be told, he had no intention of ever doing so. He didn't need a door telling him he was stupid- for Maxie was certain, without a doubt, he'd never manage any riddle put to him. Running a hand through his winter-darkened hair, the young boy let out a singular, sad sigh.
It was bad enough- humiliating enough- to have been driven from his Common Room, his things, his comfort- to add a challenge to it in the form of a logic puzzle was an insult to injury. Salt in his already painful wound. Did his things miss him? His chest with all it's wonderful, excellent contents... His bed, his posters... Maxie scrunched up his face hard, hoping to force the miserable thoughts from his mind but they remained, as stubborn as the boy they belonged to.

As Nettie approached the Ravenclaw common room, she couldn't help but roll her eyes a little as she saw one of the Hufflepuff students sitting dramatically on the floor. This had become a regular sight around the knocker lately. Not necessarily the moping around part, but the 'Hufflepuffs-getting-stuck-outside-the-common-room' bit was. She sighed heavily as she approached the kid, raising a blonde eyebrow at him. "Need help?" she asked with a small smirk as she approached. Must be nice, just having to tap some barrels to get in to their common room...although at this point, Nettie was so used to the riddles that it hardly phased her.

| you wanna fite? | 💚 nickleback 💚 | Uh, anyway. The smirk threw the young boy right off. Maxie suddenly felt even stupider at Ravenclaw's approach. He knew of her, Trinetta, she was always being talked of for one reason or another- mostly for romantic stuff that made little sense to the second-year. The Hufflepuff shrunk back, his water-blue eyes skeptically watching the blonde. Did she really mean to help him? or was this some joke she'd have a giggle about later? Mazie could not be sure- not by a long shot- but he was so tired, and so fed up with being stuck out here.
Swallowing what remained of his feelings, Maxie sharply nodded. ".... Yes." That three-letter word just about crushed him.

At first Nettie had been planning on teasing the boy, but now he looked just so...upset. She couldn’t do that! She smiled kindly at him and cleared her throat, looking up at the knocker. She waited for it to rattle off the riddle before the obvious answer came to her. ”Pickled Herring,” she answered confidently, and the door popped open. She smiled at the Hufflepuff. “There, no harm done...you’ll get used to it after a while,” she tried to be assuring to him, although she wasn’t sure how easy it would be for people who weren’t truly Hufflepuffs. “What’s your name again?” She asked. All she knew was this boy looked FREAKILY like Jo Kowalski and it was a little weird.
