Study Hall

In close proximity to the library lies the study hall. Whether you are a first year or a seventh year, a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, a boy or a girl, this room is the best place to go for your studying and homework completion needs. If you ever find yourself stuck on something or have no clue what you're doing, you can always ask those who you are studying with for help or the professor that is overseeing the study session.

Scattered around the room are groups of desks that make it perfect for you and your friends to collaboratively work together. Average-sized oil lamps have been strategically placed on the desks to create a calm, comfortable environment. In a neat pile in the centre of the desks are extra quills, bottles of ink, and spare parchment should you need it -- just remember to leave the quills and ink at the table and only use what you need for parchment. Under the windows a long bookshelf containing a copy of textbooks for each class can be found, which you are welcome to use during your time in this room.

Daisy entered the Study Hall, her bag laden with parchment, quills and ink, along with her Transfiguration textbook. The class had been given an essay to write, which did annoy her a tad. She found herself a vacant desk and placed her bag on the table as she retrieved a couple of pieces of parchment, a quill and her ink. She quietly drummed her fingers on the desk as she thought about what to write. Daisy would rather be practising her spell work.

Ash hated studying but she knew that she wanted to understand stuff so she made her way into the study hall and saw a fellow housemate studying herself and said "Hi there do you mind if i join you?" Ash just didnt want to be lonely anymore

Daisy looked up from her unwritten parchment to see a younger Badger. "No, I don't mind," she replied as she moved her items to make room for Ash to do her work. The Prefect then got back to her own work.

Ash sat down and said "Thanks Daisy" Ash knew that Daisy was her house prefect but she had not had an opportunity to talk to her and Ash got out her transfiguration book but she wasnt ready to do the essay she was just wanting to understand the subject a bit better

Daisy gave Ash a quick, friendly smile as she got about to beginning her essay. Why was this difficult? Maybe it was due to the Prefect duties that she had been doing, along with the series of incidents that were happening. She really didn't need her mind to falter.

Got some last minute homework to do? Or having a group study session for that History of Magic essay due next week?

Hopefully you brought your own textbook. The bookshelf under the window, usually crammed full with textbooks for every subject and year group, is stripped completely bare. Not a loose page is in sight, nor are there any books left out on the tables.

Maybe the library will have what you need instead?

This wasn't like him. Jackson was the kind of person to try to get his homework done as soon as he was able... Today however, he had realized that he had a Charms paper due in two days and HE HADN'T EVEN STARTED! He had gathered his things and headed to the Study Hall, for a bit of a break from the library and in hopes that he could practice some spellwork. Once he had arrived though, his eye twitched and his lips pursed. "SERIOUSLY?!" That was it. Last straw. Jackson turned on his heel and exited the room.
