Once invited into Kaysha’s office, you enter to find she had decorated it simply. The walls have been covered in amethyst coloured wall paper, her favourite colour. Over these wall papers, there are many framed photos of persons precious to her. One frame holds a collage of her at various ages, another shows pictures of herself and her father and yet another shows a picture of her beautiful, deceased mother. Most of the photos, however, contain pictures of her previous students from the Muggle Primary and Secondary schools she had taught at as well as from the little volunteer group she had formed so that kids who needed extra help in school could get it.
On one corner, there was a huge, wooden bookshelf laden with an assortment of books for her to read in her leisure time. Would you be interested in borrowing one? You simply need to ask! Just ensure that you return them back in their proper condition. In the opposite corner sat a sort of kitchenette dedicated to store refreshments for her guests. These refreshments were provided by the hard working elves of Hogwarts.
In the middle of the room sat Kaysha’s desk which was always so neatly organised. Across from her desk and chair, sat two comfortable chairs. Choose one and make yourself at home! There is no need to be shy!

She let Rylee pass into the office before shutting the door.
“Nonsense. You’re free to talk with me as long as you like. Have a seat.’’ The woman took a seat in her chair then surveyed the Gryffindor kindly. Rylee had not been malingering at all; she was not that type of girl. “Are you able to at least get back into your studies? I know focusing must be difficult but I also know that you will be trying hard to make your parents proud.’’ There was no need for Kay to ask how Rylee was feeling. Why ask when she knew exactly? “What can I help you with today?’’
Talking with Professor Stewart had always been easy. Since her first term when she had been possessed and done some really strange things, she had felt close to the women knowing she had been through the same thing if only much worse. Rylee knew she was understood afterwards, especially after they had done that little bit of flying out on the pitch and had played catch. "I'm sure most do," she lioness agreed with a slight nod of her head.
"Thanks," she whispered once more this time sitting down in one of the comfy chairs. "I'm certainly trying. Focusing on my studies and my other activities is helpful." It had always been that way for her anyhow. Lessons, homework and then all her extra curricular activities, the busier she had kept herself the better. "Well... I don't want to fall behind." Which she wasn't even close to doing. If anything at all she was ahead in several subjects. "Have we started anything new in our lessons, professor? Is there anything I should focus on or that I have to make up?" These were the most important things on her mind.

"Hello Professor," Hanna greeted as her Head of House appeared from the outside of the office. Hanna entered and had a quick look around, her eyes resting on the books before going back to Professor Stewart.
"I just wanted to talk about my future," she said. Yes, nothing too complex. Just the rest of her life. "I've been thinking about what subjects I'll do next year and I just wanted to see if you could help me with some of my thoughts." Specifically getting a non-parent perspective on what she wanted to do with her life.
She pulled open her little journal where her thoughts had been thought over until they made sense enough to write down. "I've always wanted to be a Wizengamot. But... I know that will be a long time into my future and even then it will be a long process. But I was thinking my best option might be applying for the YATI program. I know I have to focus on DaDa, charms, transfiguration, herbology, and potions but I was wondering if you would recommend any other subjects which might line up well." Because her family were mostly advising her to do subjects they enjoyed, not subjects they thought Hanna might like, or ones that might complement YATI training.

Kay nodded kindly. “They’d be wrong not to understand,’’ she said simply. “Throwing your emotions into things you’re passionate about always helps. The important thing is to keep focused on them because whenever you find yourself alone, that’s when the emotions hit you, that’s when it hurts the most.’’ This bit of advice was compliments of her own experiences. With parent, sibling or anyone that one with close with, if something negative happened to any of them, there was a lot of cathexis. Ah, this would explain why Rylee was here, the question about lessons. It was not surprising. “We are continuing with muggle sports. As of now, we have covered rugby and soccer. As a matter of fact, I have a book that would help with both. That is, if you are interested in borrowing it.’’

Ah, career advice. Kay loved to give advice when she could to the kiddos. It helped a great deal when she knew them more than just seeing them around the Castle; knowing their strengths and weaknesses played an important part too. “You’ve come to the right place, Ms. Newton! Have a seat.’’ The woman took her own seat and peered over at Hanna. “I see. That is true, the process can take a while but if this is what you wish to do in the long run, I highly advise you to keep this goal in sight at all times.’’ She paused, considering the subject of joining the YATI programme. “Is this what you really want to do in the meanwhile?’’ Emphasis on 'you'.

Rylee knew without a shadow of doubt that a very good number of her closest friends all understood, several having gone through something similar in their own lives. Professor Stewart was absolutely correct. With loneliness came thinking and with thinking came pain, this was why she kept herself as busy as she could. "I'm not good with emotions... not ones of the sad kind anyhow." The lioness was the type that choose to block it out, if she put up walls strong enough she wouldn't have to think about. Talking about the lessons she missed was more on point with what she would rather be doing. "I would be, thank you." She smiled just a tiny bit. Sports was something she enjoyed. Even the ones she wasn't all that good at.

Hanna smiled, knowing she had indeed come to the right place. It was enough to seek out the Professors of the specific subjects she needed to excel at, to get individual subject advice, but for now she wanted something different to that.
"Yeah," she said, agreeing with the lengthy process. She nodded, hearing about the importance of keeping the goal in sight. With OWLs looming for next year, it was very important. The times she was feeling most stressed, or frustrated with study, was the time to think about what she wanted.
Hearing the question, and the emphasis, Hanna paused to think. She truly wished to be involved in the legal system of the Wizarding World. This was what she had always wanted. But she'd done a lot of research into the pathways to become a member of the Wizengamot, her ultimate dream, and this was the one that appealed most to her. She nodded, "Yes, I've looked into it and it's definitely what I want to do."

Kay was careful not to let any hint of pity show. She knew exactly how Rylee felt when it came to negative emotions. “It’s just there lurking under the surface. Sometimes you want to talk about it but you can’t because you’re not sure how to put it all over into words. Ms. Prichard, sometimes you need to speak about it. I recommend a healthy dose of Quidditch for you. That’s bound to lift your mood. I’ll even have a game with you.’’ Kay smiled, hoping to have a ‘yes’ from the kiddo. As for the book... “Wonderful! Let me just retrieve it...’’ She got up, turned to her bookcase and rummaged through it for a moment. “Here we are. ‘Fifteen Popular Sports Made Easy’,” she announced as she handed over the book. "The only down side to this is that you missed the practicals. I’m sure you would have enjoyed a few of the sports at least.’’

That was all Kay needed to hear, that certainty of what a kiddo wanted to pursue as a career. There was little more terrible than anyone being pressured into doing something they did not wish to do. “Yes, those are the compulsory subjects for becoming an Auror. You will need to achieve a minimum of five NEWTS with nothing less than Exceeds Expectations. I would also recommend Ancient Runes. One can never tell when they’d need to decipher magic in runic form.’’ There was a break at this point before the woman continued. “Care of Magical Creatures is another great option as is Alchemy.’’

One of the absolute worst things anyone could do right now would be to show her pity. It wasn't what she needed at all. What she needed was to go on with what she had been managing so far, not thinking or speaking about it. Keeping those walls up high and only allowing herself to believe that they were simply still away on business. This was easy to do and it didn't hurt nearly as much as the truth would. Once again Professor Stewart was correct. The mention of Quidditch drew her in instantly and Kay even offering to play game with her was enough to put a tiny smile back onto her face. "That... would be really great," Rylee nodded. Quidditch always helped her get through anything.
Rylee watched as Kay looked for the book and brought it back over to her. "Thank you," she nodded taking the book and looking it over, even flipping it open and scanning a few pages. "I'm sure I would've really enjoyed it but that's okay. At least I have the remainder of the year to participate in the rest of the practicals." The term was going by so quickly!

Kay beamed and nodded. “Wonderful! Just let me know when you’re free or you think you need a break from catching up with your work, and I’ll make the time for you.’’ At least, in this was, she could be sure she was doing her part as a supportive Professor in aiding to heal Rylee. In regards to the book... “You’re welcome, Ms. Prichard. If you need to have any explanations in order to understand any sport at all, you just contact me.’’ In other words, the Gryffindor was free to see the Professor out at any point in time: after lessons, in the corridors, on the grounds... “Indeed you do. I look forward to seeing you there.’’ Kaysha was just a tad worried about Rylee overworking herself in an effort to catch up. She'd have to see to it that she spoke to Tristan to express her concern.
