Daisy was not looking forward to having a face full of acne and as she non-verbally cleaned her gloves, she hoped that she would be successful in getting rid of the pimples. She drank the entire contents of the acne potion and within seconds, her forehead, cheeks and nose were covered with acne. There were larger pimples on her forehead which was a possible sign of stress.

She then uncorked a bottle of Bubotuber pus that she'd collected and used a non-verbal "Aguamenti," so that the pus was diluted. Using her wand, Daisy stirred the diluted pus clockwise three times. She then carefully inserted the tip of her gloved left index finger into the solution and applied it onto one of the two pimples on her nose. Within seconds, the pimple vanished. Daisy repeated the process, making sure her gloves were clean before dipping a finger into the solution until she was once again free of acne.

Daisy then grabbed a piece of parchment and her quill to answer the questions.

Yes, yes they had. Seemed you didn't get more respect when you were the older party, or the one with a badge. Strange, that.

Vita downed her potion, feeling her skin change as it kicked in. She was just really thankful she didn't have a mirror right now, her hand running over her skin and noting the differences. It was a severe breakout and not one she wanted to keep, if she could help it. "Half water, yeah?" Mixed in with the pus, she meant. The brunette took out her wand and filled her bottle. It looked just so...so gross. Even as she stirred, she fought the urge to gag. "I don't know how I'm going to manage rubbing this on my face."

Taking the cork off the acne potion she bit her lip looking at it, she haven't had acne yet so this shall be interesting. Although she knew that every teenager gets them, heck even adults gets them she found out. Taking the cork off the acne potion she took a mouthful of it. Ugh... sure wasn't the best thing in the world, that was for sure. As dark red acne pimples appeared on her face she bit her lip. "Hm... so this is how it feels, I'm so not looking forward to this at all!" she thought to herself.

Feeling the urge to scratch them due to them itching like crazy, she uncorked the bottle had had the pus in it before going to the sink and putting some water in before heading back to her table. "ok stir three times clockwise." she said stirring it three time that way. With her gloves still on, she put her finger into the bottle and gotten some. Feeling one on her cheek she applied it there as she felt it disappearing before adding some more to one on her forehead she felt. "Don't scratch Stella, don't scratch or pick at them!" she said to herself. It was hard to resist the urge, they were so itchy and big!

After awhile of making sure she was acne free she corked the remaining of the pus and removed her gloves. Writing in her notebook the questions she bit her lip.

Once she was certain she had enough bubotuber pus in her vial, Nettie had to do what she was dreading most - drink the acne potion.The fact that they even HAD a potion for that was just weird to her. She headed up to where the professor kept the potions and brought it back to her station. She sighed and then...bottoms up! Might as well get it over with!

She took the vial and drank the whole potion in one gulp. YUCKKKK. Just a few seconds later, she felt her face start to get...bumpy. She looked at her face in the mirror and frowned. Well, the potion had worked. She had never been more grateful for her clear skin than she was right now.

Taking her bottle of bubotuber pus, she filled the bottle half way with water and then stirred it three times clockwise. Then she took a small drop of it on her gloves and applied it to one of the giant pimples she'd just gotten on her forehead. Slowly, the pimple shrunk until it completely disappeared.

No matter how gross her skin ever got, she didn't think she'd be able to actually do this as a skin care routine. It just smelled too bad!

Luckily for Vita, he was very much distracted by the sensation of his own pimples that he didn't laugh at hers. His were itchy. Especially the spattering he could feel around his nose and Max just about refrained from scratching at them.

He tried to busy himself by adding water and stirring his own mixture and honestly, was just about fighting the urge to heave right there. This was why Herbology sucked. This was gag-worthy. GROSSSSSSS. Gross gross gross.

"I dunno, but just a heads up....." Okay, despite the grossness of the whole situation, he couldn't help but crack a little snicker. "There's one on your forehead that looks big enough to grow a whole new pimple of its own so you wanna make sure you get that one good and proper."

Nettie starred at herself in the mirror, making sure she got each and every one of these stupid pimples. She took her bubotuber pus and did all the pimples on her forehead, then her cheeks, then her nose, and then her chin. Perfect. She was back to her perfect, lovely, smooth skinned self!

Now she had to answer the questions and she could be free of this bubotuber acne nonsense forever.

Vita's eyes widened and she let out a little squeak, hand moving up to cover her forehead. "Max, shhhh!" As if the entire class wasn't having the same problems. Sometimes Vita forgot about the big picture, honestly. Shooting the older boy a look, she wrinkled her nose and dipped a gloved finger into the watery pus mixture. EW EW EW EW. She was just going to do this SUPER QUICK and get it over with. Merlin, she needed to remember not to touch anything else with this glove again until she gave it a THOROUGH cleaning after the lesson.

"On the count of three..." Oh no, the smell, it was making her stomach flip. "One..two...three!" The sixth year felt nauseous as she rubbed the the large spot Max had so vividly described for her and after a moment, the bump was gone. That was...powerful stuff. Realizing she had to keep doing this whole pus rubbing on her face thing a few dozen more times wasn't as exciting, but she did it as quickly and as absently as she could because thinking about it too much was only going to make her vom all over her herbology partner.

Okay okay okay. No more laughing and teasing. He was in the same predicament after all, and knowing his luck karma would come and bite him. What if this mixture didn't work?? What if this was some elaborate plan devised by Wishart as a joke???

On Vita's count of three, Max dipped his own finger and got to work on his face, dabbing here there and everywhere. Was it even working? It was hard to tell while wearing a big old dragonhide glove.

Finger a crossed.

"How do I look?" He asked, turning to peer at her and taking in her own face while he did so. "I think you missed a spot." LOL, geddit? A SPOT?

So Tina had guessed correctly… they were making an acne remedy with the bubotuber pus. Seriously, what was it with all the blemish-focused lessons? First charms, now herbology… she was beginning to wonder if all the professors in this school had some weird acne obsession! Not that it wasn't a skill worth learning, of course.

She wasn't sure she liked the idea of drinking an acne potion. She saw the effects it had on Professor Wishart, and it looked… painful. Couldn't they just practice on fake pimples like they'd done in charms? Oh well, if it was what she had to do for full marks, she would. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as it looked, as long as acne was all the potion gave her! She trudged to the front of the room and picked up a vial of acne potion. She forced herself to down it in one gulp before she could change her mind. The effects were immediate. She could feel her skin beginning to itch and swell. Eww! It almost felt as if her skin was bubbling.

Tina carefully examined the vials of bubotuber pus she'd collected. She found one that looked to be exactly half full and uncorked it. Her hand automatically went for her wand, but then she remembered she probably had undiluted bubotuber pus on her gloves. That was close! She wouldn't want that to get on her wand and transfer to her skin. She removed the glove from her right hand, cast a quick scouring charm on it, then the glove on her left hand, and put it back on. Now she was good to go.

Tina aimed her wand into the vial and cast, “Aguamenti!” Getting the water into the vial was a bit harder than it looked, but she managed alright. She scrutinized the now full vial, and when she was satisfied that she had equal parts pus and water, she stirred clockwise with her wand once… twice… three times.

Had that worked? Did she do it right? She examined the contents of her vial. It looked like the store-bought bubotuber pus solution she used on pimples, but the only way to know for sure was to test it. Tina cringed. She was used to applying solution of bubotuber pus, but this was the first time using a batch she'd made herself. What if something went wrong? She decided to try it on a pimple just above her ear; any adverse reactions she may have would be less noticeable there.

Tina dipped her finger into the vial and spread a thin layer of solution onto the pimple. She waited to feel the effects. So far, so good… there was no stinging, irritated feeling. *If anything, it felt as if her skin was relaxing, becoming less tight… almost like it was shrinking. She pulled her compact mirror out of her bag to examine the results. Sure enough, the pimple near her ear was gone, but there were many more blemishes scattered across her face. Ugh, it looked like a pizza! Wasting no more time, Tina applied solution to the rest of her pimples, watching in the mirror as they disappeared into nothing. Merlin, that was weird to see! At least her face was back to normal now.

Now all Tina had left to do was answer the professor's questions. She picked up her quill and jotted down:

Making an acne remedy with bubotuber pus? Ew. What was with the acne crush? Learning was the main thing after all. And participation. She watched Dantes cast the water making spell and thought: "Hmm that's a good point!" But the focusing was even more challenging. Now the results were gonna be disastrous but oh well. Mistakes happen! Swelling and stretching? Relaxation? Wow Dantes clearly had a death wish.

Flashing a look up at the clock above the greenhouse door as the last of the students got their last pimples out of their faces. It was time to wrap up the lesson. He had the distinct feeling that this lesson would be discussed by the students at dinner in an hour since especially the last part had resulted in many disgruntled murmerings as well as one or two protests before the students had gotten started.

Time whisked by when you had fun.

"All right everyone, great job with ridding your faces from acne even if some of you were a bit uncomfortable at first with giving yourself acne on purpose! Please clean your worktables before you collect your belongings the lesson is over." Joshua said as he walked back up front to his desk to stuff his notes and equipment into a bag. He had to patrol the grounds before dinner.*"Look out for your homework assignment on bubotubers it will be up on your noticeboards by the end of the week."*Professor Wishart watched a first year girl accidentally step on a bubotuber plant that had sometime during the lesson fallen to the floor and caused it to spray out a ray of pus. Luckily the girl only got some pus on her robes and not her skin.*"Read chapters 7-10 for next week, there will be practical quiz. Class dismissed! Leave your plants and pus vails in the labeled trays by the door on your way out."*
