Location: Greenhouse One, Day: Thursday, Time: 9.00 AM
Winter has come to Hogwarts and since the start of the week snow has been falling steadily each day, turning Hogwarts into something white and mesmerizing, if looked at from the outside. The temperatures have dropped below zero and the castle is as it best being heated up by torches, fireplaces and the occasional heating charm, but still a little chilly and drafty. On the grounds Professor Wishart has worked tiredly each day this week to keep the snow off the bigger paths and to make sure the plants, trees and creatures aren’t suffering in the now turned winter landscape of Scotland.
As you trudge into the classroom of Greenhouse One that is warm and cozy and stomp off the snow from your feet upon entrance you notice that the greenhouse looks more like the school’s hospital wing run by Professor Adara then a place for working with plants and fungi. Not to worry though, there are still potted brown stalked and leaved plants insight on each student work table waiting for their carers. The worktables are set in a half circle formation of several rows facing the numerous hospital beds surrounded by privacy screens to let the patients have some peace for now.
Professor Wishart is sitting on the edge of his desk wearing purple work robes for the day (don’t ask!) sipping on a hot mug of tea as he wait’s for the arrival of his students.

Ash entered the greenhouse and smiled at the professor and said "Good morning Professor Wishart" Ash was glad that she had made a list of all the staff's names so she wouldnt be forgetting them and Ash was excited for Herbology she was wondering what they were going to be taught today
Abra had actually seriously considered skipping Herbology entirely just to avoid traipsing through the snow outside to get to the greenhouses. It was pretty, sure, but it was cold and awful and wet and awful and cold and awful. Abra could not stand the cold at the best of times, so now he was Suffering.
But, because of the whole prefect thing, he'd decided against skipping, and so found himself entering the greenhouse, grateful for its warmth. As he stomped the snow off of his shoes and rubbed at his numb-with-cold face with his gloved hands, Abra took a brief look around.
Huh. This was... different. But then, most classrooms ended up all weird and different so really, different was normal. Taking in the sight of the hospital-wing-esque set-up, Abra found a place at one of the workstations and set about getting his things ready for the lesson, with a "Good morning, Professor Wishart," directed to the professor in question. "Horrible weather again today."

Snow. It was the absolute worst thing to have to trek through to get to the greenhouses. Worse than rain. At least then he could have not felt extremely cold. It was the worst because it takes forever to get the feeling back in your hands.
Taking a glance around he noticed Ash and Abra in the green house already. He walked further into the room and noticed Professor Wishart in purple robes? He was wishing that he had some tea to sip on because he was really wanting to feel warmer than he was. That snow made him cold to his bones. "Morning Professor Wishart." He found a spot at the work station two down from Abra and set up shop there waiting for others to arrive.

HELLO FAVORITE CLASS!!
Now with all the other crazy and confusing things going on there was one thing that Chloe knew and enjoyed, it was this class right here! She made her way to the greenhouse and headed inside. The warmth hit her with a soft comfort like a blanket would on cold days.
Looking around once she got in though Chloe found herself looking back at the door. How did she end up in the hospital wing? That was weird, but soon she realized she wasn't that the Professor had to have done something and speaking of the professor she gave him a big smile, "Hey professor, did you ever find your robes?"
She hoped he did at least, turning she found a spot to wait for the start of class.

The moment Max stepped into greenhouse one he stopped and shook his head like a wet dog, no doubt giving anyone who unfortunately happened to be behind him another snow shower. There needed to be some kind of provision in place for snow days... like, why couldn't they make use of one of the spare classrooms in the castle?
Or better yet, why didn't they just hold this lesson in the Hospital Wing? Because that's what it looked like he'd just walked into.
Weren't these professors supposed to be smart?
Shaking the last few snow flurries from his hair, Maxton silently made his way to one of the empty workstations and took a seat.

All bundled up from head to toe, Stella happily made her way to the greenhouses, no way she was going to miss one of her favorite classes. Despite the bitter cold weather that doesn't want to be her friend giving her a asthma attack, she wasn't going to let that keep her down! With a heating charm on her as well that her okder brother Phoenix casted on her before making sure she took her potions she walked into the Greenhouse. Removing her scarf from around her mouth and nose she smiled at the sight before her, working with plants that help heal people? She didn't know, but she was excited for the lesson as always.
Stomping the snow out of her shoes she smiled at Professor Wishart. "Hello Professor, I hope your well despite the weather and everything. " she said before she spotted Chloe and sat down beside her. Seeing Patrick and Abra she smiled and waved at them.

If it weren't for the fact that she was already under intense scrutiny, the Gryffindor would've skipped. What was the point of snow if it didn't get outdoor classes canceled? Honestly. This was so unfair.
Zoryn didn't bother saying hello to her Professor as she walked inside the Greenhouse. Purple was so not his color.
And the set up for the day? Weird. Was it too late to fake sick?

Hanna was rugged up in her warmest clothes. All of her winter accessories, and her winter cloak. She suffered in the cold, hated being outside when it was cold, but loved seeing the snow falling when she was inside, toasty warm. But it wasn't so bad. Hogwarts had the most freezing areas, outside being one of them, but the castle did a good job with heating charms. So when she entered Greenhouse One, she started to feel the blood come back to her nose.
It took a moment of looking around at everything. The hospital-like set up, and the work stations. She didn't want to be patching up mandrake grazes, that was certain. "Hello Professor," she said, cheerily. She was ready to get her hands dirty. She headed over to an empty workbench and started getting her things our and organised.

Valencia shivered as she made her way through the snow to the Greenhouses. It was much colder here than back home and she was not a fan of that. Snow was nice to look at, definitely, not so nice to walk through.
She cleaned off her shoes as she entered.
"Hello Professor." she greeted before heading to one of the tables.

Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Daisy was quite looking forward to the lesson as soon as her eyes saw the layout of the greenhouse. She was interested in a career as a Healer so this seemed like it could just be the perfect lesson to hone any skills.
"Good morning, Professor Wishart," Daisy greeted with a smile and a wave, before heading off to find a seat.
Mary enjoyed Herbology quite a bit, having tried to do some early work on the subject at the beginning of the school year. This work had, of course, failed, but she still loved the subject. Walking into the greenhouse and stomping the snow off her feet, she politely greeted the professor, "Good Morning, Professor Wishart!" She found a worktable and sat down, beginning to organize her materials and looking around. This place certainly did not seem like a like a greenhouse.

Was Tina the only person in this school who actually liked the cold, snowy weather? She didn't understand why so many people complained about the snow. It turned everything into beautiful icy works of art! It was practically the only thing about Hogwarts that she liked better than Beauxbatons!
The dark-haired French girl was bundled up in her winter cloak, Ravenclaw scarf, and (sort of) matching blue beanie, all equipped with a slight warming charm, as she made her way down the path to the greenhouses. Her eyes darted around the greenhouse, taking in the unusual layout as she stomped the snow off her shoes. Hmm, it sort of looked like an infirmary... or at least the ones of Chateau Croyance and Beauxbatons. She'd never been to the Hogwarts hospital wing, so she had no idea what it looked like! Did that man they were learning about healing plants today? Or if not healing plants as in plants that help sick people, healing plants as in curing sick plants? Either one would be interesting.
"Good morning, Professor Wishart," Tina greeted, giving the man a small smile as she passed on her way to the nearest empty table. Of all the professors who'd been around during the Scrimgeour regime, Wishart was the only one Tina knew of who'd survived without being fired, resigning, bowing to the demands of the tyrant headmaster, or (as was the case with the former professor from whom she'd learned about Hogwarts) nearly dying. That earned him her respect by default!

Jade entered Greenhouse One, shivering slightly even though she had donned her winter cloak and scarf and of course, her warmest pair of socks. She was delighted to see snow falling at the beginning of the week, but the excitement wore off after a while, only to be replaced by dread of the chilly weather.
Thankfully, it was considerably warmer inside the greenhouse. The first year stomped off the snow from her shoes at the entrance and looked around. Hmm, the greenhouse looked different from usual - in fact, it looked oddly like the Hospital Wing - though she knew by now that most professors at Hogwarts liked to have fancy eccentric classrooms and she respected that.
"Hi, Professor Wishart," she said as she found an empty worktable to set up her things.

Archer had to bite her tongue once she heard the words from one Ravenclaw (Chloe). And yes, it was completely necessary. That said, the purple actually looked rather nice on Professor Hot in her opinion.
What was with the hospital wing look? "Morning, Professor Wishart." Hopefully, there was some aloe around here. That stuff was good with itches, like the one on her shoulder. Luckily, it was easier to be subtle about scratching it there. All she had to do was act like she was playing with her hair, like she was now.

Jackson wasn't a fan of the cold. Not like this. Breezes were fine, occasional snowfall and all that, sure. But Jackson was cold all of the time now and had become very good at heating charms. All he could say was that he was appreciative that Professor Wishart had prepared the greenhouse well. "Good morning, Professor Wishart," he greeted the man with a smile, briefly eyeing the tea that he wished he could have some of too before heading off to take a seat. His jacket would remain on for now though, until he was properly warm.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.
Had he fallen asleep and sleepwalked to the wrong place?
Rubbing his eyes, Derf took a few steps back and...nope...he had certainly walked out of the castle, across the grounds, and had now ended up at the greenhouses. Only...it looked like his other home away from home away from home...seeing as he tended to spend more time than was necessary in the hospital wing. Thankfully last year he hadn't outside of a few quidditch injuries...but he was not particularly keen on a subject he was still iffy about being held in a location that reminded him of post traumatic incidents. Like nearly being killed by inferi.
No offense, professor.
So the purple robes were the least of the seventh year's concerns as he timidly made his way inside and over towards Archer while rubbing - scratching really - the back of his neck rather persistently. Really needed to wash his pillowcase again or something. "Hey," he greeted mildly.
Maybe he had fleas? He had, you know, napped with the cruppies the other day.

Time for one of her top three classes! Or maybe it was top four this term? Whatever it was now, it was time for Herbology! Rylee couldn't be more ready as she entered the greenhouse from the cold snowy outdoors. Stomping her feet a few times to remove the snow off of her boots, Ry, moved further inside and away from the door.
Hospital beds? Well this was surely not a sight she had expected to see inside the greenhouse and she had grown used to things constantly changed around here. "Good morning, Professor Wishart," she greeted him with a bright cheery smile while making her way to her own workstation and quickly taking out her things for the lesson.

If there was one lesson that Caolan was absolutely going to be on time for it was Herbology and he had done exactly that. He stepped into the greenhouse and shook the dusting of snow off of himself. It was lovely in there, so warm and inviting and this was his favourite lesson after all. Not that he would tell anyone that. Nope, the sixteen year old remained totally calm on the outside.
“Hey Professor” he greeted the man with a firm nod and a friendly smile. But that smile turned to a look of confusion as he noticed what the greenhouse looked like. Where were the plants? Why did it look like a hospital ward?!
Huh?
He shrugged and found himself a workbench somewhere in the semi-circle and waited for the lesson to start.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
"Cold cold cold cold" Dorian muttered the same word under his breath as he crossed the grounds to the get to the greenhouses for another herbology lesson. As he entered, he stomped his feet to let the snow fall from under his shoes and then began unwrapping his Ravenclaw scarf from his neck and taking off his gloves. Could he keep on his jacket?
As he walked further inside, he was surprised to see the setting of the classroom and for a moment he thought he had accidentally walked to the hospital wing by mistake. He had almost let out a bad word and turned around to run back when he saw the Professor seated on the edge of his desk. Huh...guess he was in the right place after all.
"Yo, Professor Wishart" he greeted the man with a casual wave of his hand and looked at his purple working robe but said nothing more.
Finding a desk next to Rylee, Dorian placed his bag on top of it and began pulling out his textbook. "Hey, psst" he whispered and got closer to his friend so that only she could hear him "You think he messed up his laundry again?" cause Dorian had caught him in the laundry room once when his clothes had turned another embarrassing color ha!
Because that was what was mysterious to him and not the hospital beds in the herbology greenhouse classroom.
Ash entered the greenhouse and smiled at the professor and said "Good morning Professor Wishart" Ash was glad that she had made a list of all the staff's names so she wouldnt be forgetting them and Ash was excited for Herbology she was wondering what they were going to be taught today
Professor Wishart was sitting on the edge of his desk and sipping on his mug of tea, going over the lesson plan in his head when the first student arrived. Looking up over his tea mug he smiled welcomingly at the badger girl. "Good morning to you too, Ms Ashby! Don’t forget to find yourself a worktable."

It seemed likely afterall, given the boy’s comment.

It didn’t take long before the next student arrived in the form of Patrick of the snakes. "Good morning Mr Dooley, are you cold?" Professor Wishart wondered a little worried. Cold fingers and feet too for that matter we’re never fun.

Her hair was damp, fresh snow clinging to her long brown locks. Gloved hands brushed off the snowflakes as best she could, but the damage had been done. She'd be plaiting back her long mane as soon as she was seated.
"Morning Professor," She offered along with a tentative smile. Would they be studying medicinal plants today? She'd think on that as she got settled in a seat towards the right of the room.
...
Oh, so she'd been right. There were lots of plants with medicinal properties, many that her own mother had used for different things when she'd first gotten sick. It was because of this that Vita had no shortage of answers to give.

Well, now it made sense why the greenhouse felt a little more... hospital-ly than like a greenhouse. It was kind of cool though. Herbology was a fun subject for her and Natalie really wanted to go into nursing, so putting the two of them together was PERFECT.
She raised her hand. "Chamomile, sir," she said, setting her hand back down on her lap. "Chamomile helps your immune system when you get a cold, but it also helps you fall asleep at night time." Her mum had made chamomile tea for her and Liam all growing up. Not that Natalie needed any help falling asleep. She was a pro at that.

Calming down, the Slytherin raised his own arm in the air.
His mother was a Healer, so despite being terrible at Herbology, he'd picked up a thing or two when it came to healing. "There's dittany, sir. Good for wounds I've heard."
