Basement Corridor https://s26.postimg.cc/jkthqlimx/corridor-banner.jpg To get to the basement level of Hogwarts, you need only go through the door located on the right-hand side of the marble staircase in the Entrance Hall. After doing so, you will find yourself in a broad stone corridor that -- contrary to the cold, damp corridors of the dungeons -- is warm and brightly lit with numerous torches. The atmosphere in this part of the castle is inviting, so feel free to stroll around aimlessly. |
Camilus was getting acquainted with his new home, naturally, and his plan was to go into every room in the castle, to see everything that Hogwarts had to offer. While walking around the other day, he had seen a door, yep there it was, by the staircase. "That looks promising enough!" he said to himself, ready to go on yet another adventure. As he passed into the hallway behind the door, he was greeted by what seemed to be a hallway designed by some chef. "Woah, someone is passionate about food." |

On her way back from grabbing a handful of cookies in the kitchens, Kassie spotted a young Gryffindor just a few meters before her. "Hello there, Mr. Therble." She greeted once she was close enough to recognize him. "How is this fine day treating you?" Her smile was bright and friendly as she approached the young Gryffindor. She did a quick glance down at her emerald robes to make sure no crumbs were left behind. |

Hopeful to get an answer, as he was always interested in knowing more, Camilus turned to study the different orange hues of a glass of pumpkin juice. |

"How are classes going for you so far this term? Do you have a favorite?" Kassie remembered her first year and how the classes she thought would be her favorite, didn't end up as exciting as she had hoped. On the other hand, those she thought she wouldn't like, she excelled in and loved. |

"Well you know, I really enjoyed Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Headmaster. I have always liked adventure and the sort, but what I enjoyed most was that I was able to make good pals with some of my classmates." Camilus had always had his group of cousins and they would do everything together, so it was nice to make friends here in Britain. "I want to know how Care of Magical Creatures will go this year. I'm an enthusiast for marine animals." Noticing he was doing all the talking however, Camilus added, "Where are you off to Professor?" |

Now, care of magical creatures was not one of her favorites. There was something far too unpredictable about the creatures that made her anxious. She much preferred to deal with humans. "Well, I hope you get a chance to check out the wide variety of interesting creatures living in the lake. Just be sure to take an upperclassmen with you or talk to Professor Wayland before interacting with any of them. Better safe than sorry." She tried not to shudder at the thought of the grindylow out there. Thankful that she had adequately removed all the cookie crumbs from her robes, Kassie answered "I'm headed back to my office to catch up on some grading. I want to make sure I have last weeks assignment back to everyone by the end of this week." She reached into her pocked and pulled out her watch. "Look at the time. I better be getting back. Please feel free to stop by my office any time, if you ever wish to chat. My door is always open." |
Anyone want to play? In the decade or so that he'd had his cat, Noble had learnt that there was only one true way to her heart: food. And very particular she was about it too, demanding only the very best gourmet salmon or else leaving claw marks in his in arm to illustrate her disappointment. The women in his life could be so, well, catty when things weren't exactly as they wanted it. The problem was, her bowl had been untouched for a full 24 hours now...which whilst probably good for the fat cat's diet, was highly unusual indeed. Even when she was being particularly grumpy with him, Annie still snuck into his office to eat. It was weird not having her glaring at him from her favourite spot across his desk, and Noble was starting to get worried. ...which is why the potions professor held a freshly opened tin of food in his hand, wafting the smell down the corridor as he walked. "Annie? Here girl...I have your favourite salmon! With the jelly and veggies you like..." |
Hi! Lenora rather enjoyed exploring her new school, although she did end up getting lost more often than not. The castle was so HUGE, goodness. Since she had some free time until her next class, she decided to wander around for a bit and hoped she didn’t have to see any couples time around. UGH. She found herself in a corridor.. that seemed to be heading somewhere. Um. She walked slowly, staring at all the paintings that were placed on the walls. FOOD paintings, wow. How cool was this? She loved the ice cream ones in particular. The girl was halfway down the corridor when she noticed Professor Noble... oh, no. She didn’t want to have a conversation with a professor but she did know her manners. “Uh.. hello, professor.” |
"Annie?" He was nearly at the kitchens now, and there was still no sign of his cat. Noble grumbled under his breath. Where could she be? She'd never been one for exploring or chasing critters in her three years so far in the castle, venturing only between his office, the lab and the potions classroom. He was contemplating where to try looking next, when a voice interrupted his thoughts. "Ah, Lenora," he greeted the new Gryffindor, trying to hide some of the worried expression on his face. It somewhat worked, the furrow in his brow not too dissimilar from his usual stern face in class. "You haven't seen a cat on your travels, have you?" |
