| | Spare Office If you happen to try one of the doors near the end of the sixth-floor corridor, you might just find yourself in a handsome (if not dusty and aged) office of a surprisingly large size. The faint smell of crystallized pineapple seems to linger in the air of the room, which contains numerous side doors and nooks and crannies. Unfortunately for you, all of them remain firmly locked so there is no telling what lies behind them.
Although the room is devoid of any office-like furniture, or any furniture at all, there is still an impressive, but faded, rug before the large fireplace and long mirror hanging over that to boot. The spare office is still a cool place to hang out, practice some wandwork, or do some light reading. Just don't linger here too long because the allegedly esteemed former person that resided here was only fond of certain guests, of whom were one of his favourites and were only welcome to visit him in this office only as long as they didn't ask prying questions about specific moments in his past.

| J & j you wanna fite? | 💚 nickleback 💚 | Uh, anyway. Julie had long-since been fond of the spare office on the sixth floor. It was warm, inviting and comfortable despite it's lack of furniture. She knew the history of this room, of the past inhabitant- all his fastidious customs and favorites and loved the room all the more for it.
Slipping into the room, Julie reached up into her prim-fitting bun and tugged on the pins holding her hair in place. She wasn't truly here to sit and stud but it was what the young woman told herself as she tucked each newly freed pin into the corner of her mouth, her hair falling in soft, coiled tendrils from atop her bended head. The truth, which Julie kept even from herself, was that she simply wanted some quiet space to breathe and be in. The new rules were easy enough to deal with, especially when you minded your own business as the Slytherin did, but the student reactions? well.
that was a horse of another colour. the green-eyed witch sighed as she plucked the final pin from her crown and shook her slightly achy head to loosen her curls until they bounced and bobbed all about her face. She smiled absently, almost thoughtfully as she approached the ornate mirror to view her own countenance. Older. Taller. She was resembled her mother more and more with each day and while some women would hate the comparison Julie reveled in it. A mark of home, of her good breeding- of her family and her identity in and out of this class. She tossed back her curls (stained gold in the light of the setting sun) and posed, jutting out her hip this way and that, pouting and grinning like she was standing before Bentley's camera.
A tiny bit of silly fun.

| Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite No no no no nooooooooo.
The day already felt long enough without her having to step into the role she hardly wanted, and yet walking back to her lab she found herself dead in the middle of a corridor with two students currently vandalising one of the corridor walls. By the looks of it, regular paint. Something she would have to deal with—if she saw. Technically....Scrimgeour couldn’t be mad....if she wasn’t there to see it and bust them so with that decided, she took a sudden turn and entered the first door she saw.
Scrambling inside would have been an accurate description. You could swear there was something worth running from. For a second, she remained leaning against the door, resolved to sit in this...oh....the spare office; she was resolved to stay here until they were gone.
Maybe stepping in wouldn’t have been so bad but those two were particularly defiant students on a normal day. Having to be the one to bust their fun and go through whatever sass they dished out wasn’t exactly on her to do list. Confrontation was nerve wracking. She avoided it when she cou....
... “Oh. Jules....” It had taken her a few extra seconds for her brain to catch up to the surroundings, it still focusing on the kids outside, but it did. Her brain finally registered that Julie Bellaire was standing before a mirror making poses. She was left with a choice to make, stay in here for what might be a very awkward encounter or head back outside and have to punish students.
......so maybe this wouldn’t be so awkward. Yeah.... she’d just....stay.

| you wanna fite? | 💚 nickleback 💚 | Uh, anyway. awkward? the word lacked the depth to describe the emotions and tension in the air surrounding Julie as the sight of Jessa Cambridge appeared in her mirror. She stood stock still, a curl wrapped mischievously around her finger, her hip still jutted out suggestively. A flirtation interrupted. The one second Julie had let her guard down had apparently all fate had needed to trap her in a mortifying experience with the very woman she had hoped to mostly avoid.
Mostly being code for totally. Friends avoided each other all the time, right? this was absolutely a friendship problem and not an ex-problem because Jessa wasn't an ex- there'd never been a verb to add to, you see. She cleared her throat, and shook her string of curls loose from her finger before allowing her eyes (which she'd kept averted) to catch the reflection proper of the Ravenclaw Prefect. She looked well, if not hurried but Julie knew all too well that surface Jessa was... an entirely different creature from real Jessa. ".... Hey, Jess." She greeted, hoping her voice to be light- casual- maybe even friendly. Because they were friends! Friendly, good friends with nothing unsolved between them. "Were you... running?" The Slytherin asked, countering whatever questions the Ravenclaw might have had with one of her own. The girl loved to explain and Julie knew very well how to use that in her favor. Y'know, in a good-not-manipulative-way.

| Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite Funny how that worked. Friends. They were supposed to be friends but she couldn't remember the last time they'd had a conversation--scratch that, she could. It was back in April or May, it hadn't been a very fun conversation. After that, Julie had asked for space and Jessa obliged...but it didn't seem like the space between them was getting any smaller. She supposed she couldn't blame her....but it still hurt all the same. Whether it was the case or not, the Ravenclaw felt she'd actually lost her friend, that Julie had no intention of having anything to do with her. From the moment she asked for space, the ball had moved to her court. Jessa was prepared to give her space for as long as she needed...just....it was starting to feel like a permanent arrangement. "Running's one way to put it, yeah." She replied, her tone a little distant as she eased away from the door to briefly peer outside. It sounded as if the pair were still there. She was definitely staying put.
Carefully, Jessa nudged the door closed again, taking a deep breath just to....to...calm down. This term gave her enough anxiety without it throwing little situations like this at her. "You always think anyone who says they've been held hostage by a Gryffindor must be exaggerating, and yet...." And yet, here she was. "Am I...uh.....interrupting anything? I could probably find another room to duck into. You seem...er....busy..."
Doing poses.
She had questions. It was another layer to Julie, one she hadn't before seen. A silly side and it was oddly endearing. Jessa had seen the smallest hints of this before, but nothing outright like this.

| you wanna fite? | 💚 nickleback 💚 | Uh, anyway. It might very well have been easy for Jessa to pack up all her feelings and emotions but not for Julie. Her chest and belly were hollow. She wished, right then and there as Jessa closed the door (why, why why, actually, why?) that the two had never kissed at all, not even that first one all those years ago. Every bit of it had only led to discomfort, confusion, and anxiety and not just on her part. She remembered all too well Jessa's pained expressions.
But who cared, right? it was the past, right? It didn't matter anymore and they were chums. it was fine, everything was fine. Julie raised a brow, but didn't ask further. If the Ravenclaw hadn't given her a clear answer the first time than she assumed she wouldn't get it the second. Tossing back her curls, Julie forced her lithe shoulders to relax for they were as rigid and unbending as a tree-trunk. She laughed, more out of surprise than amusement, but the edges of her lips softened as she spoke. "Can you exaggerate when it comes to Gryffindors?" It sounded a bit like an oxymoron to her.
Shifting her weight, Julie turned her back to the mirror and faced the real Ravenclaw Prefect properly for the first time in actual months. She was the same, slim, elusive, and very pretty. the more things change, truly, the more they stay the same. "No, not at all." she quickly said, her cheeks warming as the blush of earlier returned in double stride. "I was... Practicing, but that doesn't matter." Absolutely, Julie was not going to stand there and explain she'd been admiring herself in her spare time like some silly 11 year old. no thank you, goodbye, so long.

| Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite No, it hadn’t been easy packing everything away and pretending things didn’t happen. For as good a liar as she could be, this was one of those things she was finding hard to pretend otherwise about. The truth was, it hurt knowing how she’d made Julie feel. Thinking she’d led her on. Not being able to offer what she’d wanted. And it hurt even more to know that it was now costing them what had been a solid friendship—but what would moping solve? The more she allowed herself to wallow was the worst she would feel and the worst she felt was the worst she would wallow. It was a never ending cycle she didn’t want to fall into if she could help it.
The Head Girl felt a small smile forming on her lips at the accurate words spoken. “I suppose you’re right about that. They’re a special case, as proven by the pair outside.” Not that she saw this pair. Nope. Gryffindors outside this door breaking school rules? She didn’t know what anyone was talking about.
For as much as she could help it, she would remain clueless. As far as Jessa was concerned, they weren’t out there and she didn’t have to report anything.
Her head tilted in curious fashion as the explanation to follow. “Practising? Have you gotten back into pageants? Or is this for the drama club?” The Ravenclaw had all but fallen off the wagon with club activities, finding the only time she wasn’t steadily battling her anxiety was when she was locked away in her lab. It’d been....a stressful year thus far.
