| | Ravenclaw Table For those who belong in Ravenclaw House, in the middle of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Blue banners containing an embroidered bronze eagle float above the polished table in honour of the wise Rowena Ravenclaw. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growing as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in (yes, you can take your seats) and wait for Headmaster Scrimgeour to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Caledon Roth The Leaky Cauldron | Stopping by before the feast closes Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Gaston's heart sank as he came to the Ravenclaw table. the round of goodbyes to the Slytherins underscored the reality of his rapidly nearing exit, and he still had three more rounds of goodbyes to go. The smile he had plastered on his face was already beginning to falter. "Good evening, everybody," he said, nodding to Jackson, Hanna, Taddy, Ewan, Chloe, Septimus, Juni, Jessa, Drewett, and Kaitlynn in turn. "And good evening to you too, Lady Helena," he greeted the house ghost. "Congratulations on your House Cup win!" Memories came rushing back as Gaston's blue eyes darted across the students' faces... Jackson, Septimus, Drewett, and Kaitlynn in lessons, conversations with Ewan, little Chloe clinging to him during last year's Inferi attack. He shuddered at that particular memory. Then he saw Juni- her dad must be so proud of her talents! And Hanna... she reminded him so much of Rose!
Then he came to Jessa, the student who reminded him most of his failings as a teacher. "Congratulations to you too, Jessa," he said, reaching into his pocket for a box containing a black quill and setting it on the table in front of her. He knew she didn't think very highly of him, and there was nothing he could do to change that but he still wanted her to have it. "And I'm sorry... for everything." Snapping at her in class, failing to engage her interest, not being fast enough to stop Petrov from hexing her... "I don't expect any forgiveness; I just couldn't part ways with things unsaid." Whatever she chose to believe of him, his apology was not a last-ditch attempt to win her over. "I apologize to all of you as well," he said, addressing the group again. "I-I wasn't the teacher or the Deputy headmaster you deserve..." His voice trailed off, and he heaved a heavy sigh. "I just wanted you to know because... this term is going to be my last. This isn't what I wanted, but I've recently learned I'm too ill to continue teaching..." Merlin, this was hard! He moved up and down the table, handing out quills just like the one he gave Jessa to each student. "I'd like you to have these now, since I won't be around to give them out at your graduations. I wish all of you the best of luck, and if you ever need anything, feel free to send an owl."
Gaston turned away toward the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor tables but paused for a brief moment as he passed Hanna. "You'll be alright without me?" he whispered. He was worried about her; after all, she was family! And there was another Ravenclaw he was particularly worried about. He managed a small wobbling smile as he looked at Chloe. "And you? You'll be okay next term?" Of course they would... they had to be, right?

"But now we have a little brother!" She was sure everyone was excited about that. Her dad was the only boy in their family. "Brazil! I've never been there. I hope you have a really fun time." And she hoped everyone would be able to recover and prepare for another year like this.
Hanna realised that her question to Taddy was probably silly. There's little chance of it having been amazing. "I think so, but it's going to take a while before I realise I don't live in a home full of rules when I get back there." She could go to the kitchen at any time. She didn't have to stand before her mother or father let her sit. "Not really, just playing with my new baby brother," she smiled. "How about you?"
And then there was... "Professor Stewart!" Hanna said, trying not to bellow. She was back! And those awful men were gone. And Hawthorne was back! She tried to cling to what Stewart said, that next year would be better. She just HAD to cling to that hope.
And then there was Gaston. Hanna had been devastated to learn he was going. But she had understood why. "Hello Professor Marchand," she said, the formality rolling off her tongue naturally. She tried so hard not to start crying, but she really was going to miss him. And she was worried about him. She clutched onto the box he had given her, along with everyone else, and rather than get too upset she tried to remind herself that it would be okay. She would see Gaston over summer, hopefully. And would be able to send plenty of owls to him and Rose. But then, before he left, he whispered something to him. She sniffed, still keeping her tears hidden. She nodded. And then placed the box down and wrapped her arms around him. "I hope you will be okay," she said, just as quiet.
