| | Moving Staircases The most logical way for you to get from one part of the castle to the next, from down to the dungeons all the way up to the seventh floor, is making use of the staircases. Even though using them is logical, that does not mean it is going to provide the easiest route from Point A to Point B. The staircases in this tower are notorious for moving without warning whether you are walking on them or not. Hopefully luck is on your side today.
Covering the walls from the bottom of the tower to the top are hundreds of portraits. While they may be intriguing, it is important that you stay focused on the task at hand: getting from one flight of stairs to the next. If you're not paying attention, the staircase you are on will move and you'll have to maneuver your way back down or up again or wind up sinking through one of the trick steps. Under no circumstances should you be sliding down the banisters -- doing so will put your life at risk and, if you live to tell the tale, cost you two week's worth of detention.

That was still getting him down, but after the first time...and those boils... Beau had started to drag himself out of bed and at least make an attempt to get the 5 laps in before breakfast. He wasn't the best runner, mostly because he put his all into the first lap and then struggled the rest of the run. It was going to take a miracle for him to get through it all properly, tO be hONEST WIV U.
But after a nap between classes (or a nap whilst skipping Charms that morning oops), lunch in his system and some brain work in other classes, Beau was out for some more fun involving his skateboard.
STAIR SURFING!!!!!!
He was sat on the board, waiting for the staircases to line up for the perrrrfect journey down without catching a gap and falling to his death. You know... that didn't sound as fun as what he wanted to do.

He was sat on the board, waiting for the staircases to line up for the perrrrfect journey down without catching a gap and falling to his death. You know... that didn't sound as fun as what he wanted to do. Faith Chosen wasn't really complaining about running, not really, she just wasn't a fan of doing it before the butt crack of dawn. She had always been difficult to wake up, and prone to falling asleep in class if there were ever any morning quidditch pratices, so it was really more likely that her professors would have more problems with her running in the mornings than she did.
BUT today was a Saturday and that meant no lessons which meant that after the run, Faith was allowed to take a little nap. Except now she couldn't sleep. She had to DO SOMETHING. So she would. The sixth-year dragged her mattress off her bed and brought it through the portrait hole and to the staircase and was just about to set it up to go mattress surfing down the stairs because when did detention ever mean anythign to her? when she saw someone was there.
IT WAS BEAU. "BEAU!" she grinned, and then noticed his skateboard. "Are you going outside? Why are you just standing here? Do you wanna surf with me?"
Well, did he?

| On his mission to get more intel about some of his colleagues, Scrimgeour had found himself in an oddly familiar part of the castle. It had been many, many years since he had been up on this level of the school. In fact, the last he could recall was walking out of that fat woman's portrait for the last time on his last day at Hogwarts. The memories were starting to flood back to him as he walked along the corridor.
And then those memories came to a halt at the sight that awaited him at the moving staircases.
His eyes narrowed, his eyes glaring into the back of their heads. The skateboard, the mattress that was clearly taken from a bed, and the mention of surfing — it all was such a disgrace to his former House. The old man was not going to allow these two, among the others who thought like them, to drag the name of Godric Gryffindor through the mud with their idiocracy. "You will be going nowhere," his gruff voice sounded suddenly. "Explain yourselves. Now." Not that he needed an explanation from them. What they were up to was quite obvious. But this was their only chance to make their inevitable consequence slightly less severe.

| ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe That was his name!! "FaIIIIIIiIiIiIIIIIiiiiiiTHHHH!" Yeah. Hi. Hello. From his seat on the skateboard, Beau began to frantically wave in the direction of the other Gryffindor as she headed his way. Hello girlfriend's sister! HELLO. Should they have been closer friends because of Jolie though? Were they even allowed to be friends? Jolie wasn't like THAT, was she? Beau had been allowed to be friends with Kodee, soooooooo..... "I was going to go dooooown the st--" airs. He was going to go down the stairs, but instead he would be going nowhere. As instructed. But funner. Because Beau FROZE. Hands up in the air and JAW DROPPED.
HE WAS FROZEN.
Except his voice. "WE FOUND IT.!!" Yes. VALID. YES.

| He was now mere feet from the two Gryffindors, his eyes still narrowed. It was very obvious that Scrimgeour was not a happy headmaster right now. The skateboard was already a problem of its own, and the mattress made the situation even worse. The two students, who were clearly old enough to know what they were doing, had sealed their fate already. "Found what?" the old man responded to the boy. He was not amused in the slightest and was not going to be standing there all day waiting for an explanation. "Get up off the floor, and hand over that contraption this instant."
A consequence was already being thought of, though he was going to let the duo determine the severity of it based on how upfront they were with that they were doing. "And you can explain yourself too, miss," he stated sharply to the girl with the mattress. Though instead of letting her keep hold of it, the man removed his wand from his person and gave it a wave, Vanishing the mattress. Where it ended up, he didn't know. But it certainly did not wind up back on the girl's bed.
