 Further down the fifth-floor corridor awaits a statue of a rather large bald man with several chins. If you know your potions or history well enough, you will be able to identify this medieval wizard as the inventor of Gregory's Unctuous Unction. Though a fine wizard, he is credited for worming his way into King Richard's confidence and making a fortune by administrating his BFF-in-a-vial to the former Muggle ruler.
While Gregory the Smarmy's story may be interesting to some, you might find what he is hiding to be more your scene. Looking closely behind the large man, you just might see a slight opening of a secret passageway. Few, however, have access to the passage and know exactly where it leads because not very many people know how to get the bulky statue to move aside. Trying all of the random passwords you know will result in failure and wasted time. Perhaps you need to take a leaf out of Gregory's book and find a way to excessively flatter him. Good luck.

Hogwarts had a LOT of statues, didn't it?
Lucas stood in front of this one, looking up up up at the very top. He didn't...... understand what was so great about these statues. Maybe they'd done something great or discovered something amazing but to him, they were just decoration. He tilted his head, silently wondering if HE was ever going to get a statue of his own. Maybe he could discover something great, too. Nothing he could think of now but he was sure he'd find the PERFECT-
.........
What was that?
His eyes travelled down the statue and he found himself looking at...... something? A secret tunnel? A passageway? Could THIS be his secret discovery? Lucas looked up and around him to see if anyone was looking and then tried to squeeeeeeeeeze his way behind the statue. He even tried to breathe in and make himself smaller than he already was but....... no luck.
Deflated, he frowned at the passageway..... and then up at the statue of the weird man...... and then at the passageway again. Hmmm......
There was only one thing for it, wasn't there? He'd have to MOVE the statue.
It already sounded like an IMPOSSIBLE task but maybe, just maybe, he could try it. And he wasn't going to KNOW it was impossible until he tried it out. And he did all those pushups in Divination which meant that he HAD to have some muscles by now so......
Puuuuuuuuuush! HEAAAAAAAAVE!
"Come oooooon......"

PUUUUUUUUUSH! Anna had her Pygmy Puff on her shoulder as she climbed up the stairs towards the Gryffindor Common Room. She just had a nice late-ish lunch and was ready to... chill for a bit. That was a first, but she did have her moments.
As she arrived on the fifth floor, however, she saw a very interesting sight that made her stop. The brunette watched the young boy for a few seconds as he pushed a stone statue as if his life depended on it. She recognised him from the Gryffindor Common Room, and that fact plus the sight itself made her smile. What an amusing little kid! She liked him already.
Approaching him, she tilted her head curiously. "So... what's the plan?" She wondered if there any hidden reasons why he wanted to move... - she had to step back a bit to check who the statue was. "What has Gregory done to you?"

Uh. That was a voice. A voice directed at him.
Lucas stopped instantly. His eyes were wide and he...... froze, because maybe, if he didn't move, the sound of the voice wouldn't notice him. Which was silly because they clearly did notice him and was already talking to him. Was he in trouble? Already?! For pushing a statue? Could you GET into trouble for that? Lucas didn't know.
And who was Gregory?! Please explain.
The first year looked up slowly, hoping it wasn't a Professor or someone and was a little relieved when he saw that it was just an older student. But the girl had a Captains badge and he was sure he'd seen her in the Common Room and out on the field during tryouts and..... yeah, maybe he shouldn't be that relieved. Captains had power, you know.
He shuffled a little on the spot. "Uh......." Did he have a plan? Not really. "See, there's something back here and I want to try and explore it but..... the statue's in the way." Which, once he said it, he realised was a very obvious statement. "So, uh.... I was trying to move the statue. But, you know, I'm very....." At this, he broke off and just.... motioned at his biceps. Or lack of biceps.
Look at his spaghetti arms. Wiggle wiggle.
Pause. "I don't...... know a Gregory." Should he?

| CRASH BASH!! Ju and Kita Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Mark hurried up through the Corridor his school robes whooshing behind him almost like a cape as he was headed back to the Ravenclaw Tower. All the new rules had him dizzy and confused and worried about many of the things he owned he didn't want to see leave him his possession.
He rushed past Lucas and an Older looking girl. He was sure she was the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain. He would stop to say hi but, his stuff. What if that weird wrathful Head of House of his was already chucking comics books out the window of his dorm?! Those were his Dad's Comics....well some of them. His Dad would never part with all of them.
But...the scenario here was just too much to not eavesdrop on. Also it could be that the Quidditch Captain was going to get Lucas in trouble for attempting to move a statue out of the way. Why would a Gryffindor dock points from another Gryffindor? Mark wouldn't know, but this School year was already turning out to be wrong in so many other ways. He tucked behind another corner in the corridor and just kept a close eye on the two of them.

Pause. "I don't...... know a Gregory." Should he? Anna didn't hide her curiosity the moment the younger boy said there was something behind the statue. "What is it?" She asked, approaching both the kid and statue to try and take a peek herself.
"Blimey!" The girl exclaimed as she saw the awkward passageway. "There actually IS something there..." She added, leaning against the statue and now trying to stick her head between the object and the gap behind it. Failing because it was indeed a very narrow gap, she stepped back again, her hands on her hips as she looked up at Gregory. "You're not going to give us an easy time with this, are you, Greg?" Anna spoke as if talking to a great-uncle.
She snorted at the kid's remark about his arms. "Nothing some workout can't change. You should try out for Quidditch next year." She gave him her cheeky grin as she sold her THING. E.v.e.r.y.b.o.d.y should do Quidditch at least once in their lifetime, alright? Alright!
But BACK to the statue. Important issues at stake here. Secret passageway and all. Anna gestured upwards towards the statue. "Kid, meet Gregory. Greg, meet..." Uhhhhh, she didn't know this kid yet. Awkward, but only slightly.
She DID know he was a Gryffindor as well, actually. She'd seen him in the Common Room multiple times. First year, very likely. But that was all she knew. That AND that he hadn't tried out for Quidditch.
