It goes without saying that everyone's favourite person in the train is the trolley lady. Old, plump, and just as sweet as the food she sells, she can provide you with the sugary delights you desire -- from Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans to Chocolate Frogs to Pumpkin Pasties, it is all there in her trolley! The woman comes around during the middle of the journey and is generally the cause for any traffic jams taking place in the corridor.
When you hear "Anything from the trolley?" be hollered, even from a distance, it would be wise of you to jump up, make sure you have your money in your pocket, and get in the corridor before a long line begins to form. If you are the unfortunate soul that has to deal with an endless line, keep calm and stay put because the wait is certainly worth it. Please make sure you are waiting your turn with patience because the trolley lady is likely to refuse making a transaction with you if she sees you trying to cut in line or pushing people out of the way.
OOC: No one plays the trolley lady, so please role-play receiving snacks and paying on your own.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

It had gotten to be a bit of a gathering at the Food Trolley now hadn't it? Mark inched forward toward the older girl and held his arms out to take hold of one of her kneazles. He had never held a kneazle before but it couldn't be any different than a cat.
"I'm not being weird." He retorted back to his sister. There was a line here. Xaria's vision was just terrible, she'd need glasses for sure. Trust him she'll know when he's being weird to make her life miserable at Hogwarts.
Then he smiled. "Yeah see, it's impossible to get lost in a line. Unless another line intersected with this one and I then found myself in that line." but that would mean it was another train...and uh. That wouldn't be a good thing. He hadn't really gotten lost that time they moved into the new place. He just ended up down the wrong hallway one time but managed to find his way back. "I'm in the back cars." He said to calm any nerves Xaria was forming. He could tell now she was actually showing some concern toward him even if it was out of fear of how their Mum would react to her loosing him. "I think I have my robes with me so you do..." Oh Chloe showed up, and Xar's attention was shifted toward her best friend. "Hi Chloe" Mark waved to her and then turned his attention back to the older girl with the kneazles.
Mark held his hands out once more to take one of her kneazles. "So you must use some expensive shampoos for them then, or some effective grooming technique you specialized?" He didn't want to assume, but that's why he asked.

This was why he was now roaming the corridors of the train, trying not to think and find ANYTHING to distract himself - and, thankfully, soon enough he found himself with the perfect distraction. Stopping by the food trolley, and despite knowing he would regret it tomorrow - the fifteen year old fished out some coins from his pocket and went over everything sweet available.
The small, pearl-like button sat in the palm of Vita's hand, hidden like a secret by her fingers which were curled protectively around it. She'd been collecting pieces like this for as long as she could remember. Small things taken from articles of clothing or objects belonging to people she cared about. These things, seemingly unimportant, acted as a connection for the fifth year. A lifeline when she was out of her comfort zone, which had been a constant state of being these last few months.
Moving up in the queue, Vita squeezed the button a bit tighter as she tried to recognize any of the sweets being sold. She didn't have much money to spend, so the wrong choice would be coins wasted and she couldn't have that.
"Excuse me?" Her voice was soft as she tapped the boy in front of her lightly on the shoulder with her free hand. "Do you recommend any of these?"
Skyler put the cat down as soon as she did that, more students started to arrive. She got out of the way after ordering her goodies. As everyone started to talk, almost at once, all the voices seemed to be too over whelming for her. She didn't notice as everyone seemed to be talking at once, sbe started t put her hands over her ears and crouch in a corner away from everyone as she began to shut down.

Zachary wanted pumpkin pasties, and blueberry toffees and maybe chocolate frogs and maybe some liquorice, actually he was going to buy it all - he could certainly afford it.
So when someone spoke from behind him, he leaned back onto them a little and carefully said: "I recommend ... everything" Not helpful, just a sugar junkie.

The sudden closeness of the boy caused Vita to back up a bit, her cheeks burning. She wasn't used to having her personal space invaded like that. He hadn't been very much help, either, and to ask anything more would be exposing the fact that she was way out of place. She wasn't entirely sure that was the best move. All in all her first go at this communicating with her new classmates thing wasn't going so well.
... ... ...
"I'll take two of those, She announced after another moment, gesturing to the chocolate frogs. They seemed to be the safest choice and she was curious about the whole jumping aspect. Fishing around in her pocket, she produced what she hoped were the right coins and waited, shifting from one foot to the other and observing the boy again.

Well, that happened
Ah, siblings. That made more sense. Far be it from her to interceed. If she was worried about her brother being lost, then she could indeed keep worrying.
Rather than think too much on it, Jessa focused on the kid’s question. Shampoo was one way to put it but, “No, it’s just my own brand of potion that does it. Gives everything a nice little kick, keeps everything in good vitality.” Vague but not a lie. Her potions were the only reason her babies didn’t look like the corpses they were—although she did have a theory on that, one she wanted to test out but not on these two....these two had come too far and she liked their progress.
“I wanna say their diet helps too but it might be too big a conclusion to draw without ample evidence.”
In all the new arrivals and conversations, Jessa hadn’t at first noticed the Slytherin girl moving away, but she caught sight of her crouched just a small ways off and fixed her with a curious look.
Admittedly, it took her an extra second to decide whether to get involved, her mind actively wondering how willing it was to deal.
But she probably had to, so with Archimedes still with the boy and Tiberius returned to her own hands, she moved over and crouched next to her. “What’s up?” Somethinf obviously, leaving the question of ‘are you alright?’ a bit redundant.

She sat in the back and survived last term just barely she dint need hm ruining her social status before she even really started to build it. "just......" and then the older one butted in about how he couldn't get lost on the train but she in fact did not know Mark... Mark got lost in their new house the first three days they lived there so naturally he WOULD be one to get lost on the train....."Just make it back... um would kill me if i lost you before i got you onto the boat" yes the boat... she secretly knew Mark would love that. He was a water lover."i'll get your robe down to----CHLOE!!!!!!!!"
Just like that her brother was forgotten as she ran into her best friends arms. "i didnt see you on the platform i figured you and Gunnar must've gotten here early." Aunt Min and Uncle Ethan were always early or on time to everything unlike her parents they were ALWAYS "fashionably late" to just about everything. "Are you ready to go back?!?!" Xaria bounced on her heels, a totally different girl than the one who was just getting onto Mark just moments ago.

"Oh yeah we got here earlier and said our goodbyes and stuff. Gunnar is around here somewhere." She peered around maybe hoping to see him, though she knew he might be off looking for his friends. "Mom and dad left a little while ago so we could get settled in for the trip." Not that settling in mattered or anything. The twelve year old was on edge since the day had started.
Giving Mark a little wave she watched him curiously, "What is he doing?" Little brothers were always up to something and Mark was one of the most up to something people she knew.
Looking back to Xar she shrugged, "I don't know, I mean I guess so. I'm glad to see my friends and stuff, but after last term it's a little scary." She truly wasn't over what had happened last term and honestly she couldn't believe she even passed first year. She was going to try harder and practice more this term. She had promised herself to get better at spells and do even better in class.

It took a while for Skyler to eventually 'wake up' ahe turned and had noticed the girl that was first here, Jessa she thinks? Skyler blinked a bit confused. How long has it been?

Turning the coins over in her hand, which was deep in her trouser pocket, she frowned slightly as she sidled up behind a girl.
A girl who was either talking to her... or to herself. Either way Pen answered her. "Wh-what kind of chips then?" Zach and Lainey always told her to TRY to make friends and talk to people... so why not now? It was harmless chatter with a fellow Hogwartian, yeah?
Hanna, who had been talking to herself, was almost startled when someone asked a question about chips. She looked up at a slightly older student. At least she thought so. "Um... I'd love some hot chips." But she didn't think they had any. She'd have to wait for the feast and cross her fingers, hoping and HOPING there was a giant platter of slightly soggy, chicken salty chips planted right in front of her. "But maybe some pumpkin flavoured crisps!" They were nice. But... "Maybe Pumpkin is too sweet..." she wanted SALTY. "Wh-what are you getting?"
