| | |  Fifth-Floor Corridor
 To some the fifth-floor corridor is arguably home to the more interesting corridors at Hogwarts. While it too is decorated with long carpets and various portraits, the statues are just as memorable as the unique nooks and crannies that can be found here. Each of the doors look identical and are evenly spaced out, which can make finding certain rooms difficult. Hopefully that doesn't make you late to Ancient Runes. You know that won't go over well.
In the event that you have some spare time on your hands, do allow yourself to freely wander about -- just don't get lost like Boris the Bewildered. Roaming around, you will see that this particular corridor goes around The Quad and that there is a balcony overlooking the inside of the Clock Tower. Deeper into the fifth floor a casual reading lounge, a storeroom, and an upper hall can be found in addition to Classroom 5B, fondly known for being the headquarters for the Wizard Card Collectors' Club. With a keen eye, who knows what you will find on this floor of the castle!

Even when Headmaster Scrimgeour isn't standing directly in front of you in the Great Hall or during a Defence lesson, he still has managed to remind everyone of his presence. Every hour since the first day of classes, from the morning wake-up call to the calling of lights out, his gruffy voice booms from the school loudspeakers.
"All students are to report to their common room at 9 PM for curfew, and no talking after lights out at 10 PM."
Now that it is October, have the school rules been engrained in your mind yet? You had better be following them ... or else.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell. That corridor would have to do.
Anna was currently doing a handstand against the wall, facing outward so she could 1- balance herself on her hands without the risk of accidentally flopping backwards and seriously hurting herself and 2- see those who happen to walk past just in case she had to explain herself to any of the Headmaster's minions if they found her like that.
So far so good!

Jackson had stopped for a relaxing bath in the Prefect's bathroom and was on his way back to the Ravenclaw common room, nose in a newly checked out library book. His conversation with Professor Wishart, not to mention Rylee, had really got him set on his summer goals. His attention had been newly captured however, when he saw a pair of shoes at eye level a little further down the corridor. He got a bit closer and stopped, tilting his head to see who it was.
"...Anna? Uh... how's it hangin'?" he inquired, clearly amused. Of all of his friends and acquaintances, Anna was one he was least surprised to find standing upside down in a corridor. | |

Anna saw him before he seemed to see her. Her (quite literal) upside-down smile was held in place - much like herself - as he approached and finally noticed her.
His greeting made her chuckle and she nearly lost balance. Not good! Holding her breath and strengthening her core even more, she looked up at the ground for a few seconds to re-steady herself before replying. "All good! Just nearly broke my neck because of you, but apart from that, all good, yeah!" She looked back down-up at him with a grin, her face starting to get red from the blood rush. "I see you're being very Ravenclaw-like." Said the Gryffindor as she... was being very Gryffindor-like herself, actually.
Why, how fitting!
