But the Sun doesn't move from the Center of the Solar System ^^ And, coming to think about it; we move in our spot so that the Sun is constantly moving to *our* view. And we are always seeing the same constellations depending on how we are placed on the Earth. Moreover; when a year starts and ends when the Earth finishes it cicle around the Sun; It -the Sun- would be starting every time in the same spot, in the same constellation.

Ashlie laughed. "Well, at that time, they belived that it was the sun that moved and we were the center. But yes, it would mean where we were in realative to the sun. Being born in May, the sun seems to us to be in a different position than someone born in December."

I've read other books on this, and "Aries" is always listed first, and "Pisces" is listed last. Their are twelve signs and twelve months. Wouldn't Sagittarius be named last because they're in November-to-Decemeber, not the Febuary-to-March Pisces? Or did the people who invented the order of the signs have a different calander that us?

THE TWELVE SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC:

Aries the ram (March 21thru April 20): Aries tend to have really nice personality, quick wits, willingness to take risks, and eagerness to get started now. They are the pioneers of the zodiac. They also have their negative traits which makes them impatient due to their eager trait. They tend to have a quick temper and you're not so willing to let bygones be bygones.

Taurus the bull (April 21 thru May 21): People who are Taurus tend to be strong-willed, stubborn, practical, reliable and the need to feel secure. The negative side of Taurus are that they are slow to anger but are also slow in cooling down. They tend to be single minded at times.

Gemini the Twins (May 22 thru June 21): People who are Geminis are actually changeable. This is a good trait to make them strong but a bad one because they may seems superficial. Geminis have a strong urge to communicate and their remarkable ability with words make them excellent journalists, teachers, writers, politicians, and salespersons.

Cancer the Crab (June 22 thru July 22): Persons whose star sign is Cancer are moody, sensitive, intuitive, imaginative, sympathetic, protective, nurturing, and sentimental. Scorpions believe that knowledge is power and are interested on how others are feeling, thinking or planning. The trait that sours a Scorpio is jealousy, possesive and being bitter at times.

Sagittarius the Centaur (November 23 thru December 21): Sagittarians have the traits of having a direct approach to life, openess, friendliness, and optimism. They tend to be very obvious when being good but they often don't think before they speak which lands them in heaps of trouble. They're bad liars also.

Capricorn the Goat (December 22 thru January 20): A capricorn's description may not seem as flamboyant as the other signs. They are all about respect, authority, practical, conservative, planners, reserved, shy, responsible and serious. One of the pitfalls of being a Capricorn is that sometimes they face depression and shame.

"Also, inorder to fully comprehend who you really are you will need to discover your ascendant. Your ascendant is the trait that seperates you from a person who was born in the same sun sign," said Professor Snicket as he passed charts to every student, "Many of you will be confused at this chart but let us presume that I was born on July 18 at nine in the morning. July 18 falls on the sun sign of Cancer the Crab.

In the chart you see that Cancer is abbreviated and that it is located at the top of the chart. Now, we need to search for a nine am time of birth in the chart on the left side. We then find the time of birth and we search for our sun sign. From there we can see that being born on July 18 at nine in the morning means that my sun sign is Cancer the Crab and my ascendant is Virgo.

Hopefully most of you are not confused but once you figure out your ascendant. You can look at the same chart we used to find the description of out sun sign since it applies the same too."
