Hello Amber, yes today had been good so far. Very sorry I had to depart class so abruptly last time. Just a matter that needed my attention.
Now then, can anyone tell me why Metamorphmagi are similar yet different than Animagi?

In animagi you transform yourself into an animal and in metamorphmagi you just change your appearance
however your still changing something about yourself

Animagi change there whole self as an animal and must act as a animal but still can think straight well meta. change only a part of themselves!

To become an animagus you have to study, whilst Metamorphmagi are born with the skill.

Yes Metamorphmagi differ becuz they do not change into a complete animal form. However they can change aspects of their appearance so that their nose, or ears or any small features can look like an animals.
With Animagi, the whole appearance changes right down to even a portion of the thought processes and instincts. In Metamorphagi, the outward appearance alone changes.
Today we will begin with a few simple spells to alter our appearance. Please concentrate when using them. We do not want to send anyone to the Hospital Wing.

Metamorphmagus is one who posses the natural magical ability to change into the physical form of another substantial being at will, and as it is, could change in both animals (as the Animagus do, though only to a certain degree) and persons (as when using the Polijuice Potion) in a blink of an eye and without problems, as well as changing particular sections of their physiology. Different from the Animagi which is one who only can change into animals, and common ones at that, the Methamorphmagus has a wide variety to choose from and doesn’t need to learn but to control their abilities; the power and capacities are innate in them. However both are studied in the arts of Transfiguration working the changing of the own psychical appearance; the general concept which enclose both Metamorphmagi and Animagi the same.

Backlash dear, one can learn the skills needed to metamorph. But yes the natural ability to metamorph without using a wand is rare and you must be born with the ability.

Thank you Nadia, 5 points to Slytherin.
Now then our fist spell will be Ristaris. This spell can alter the color (only the color) of your hair or eyes. We'll start with changing our hair.
Watch closely now class.
Taps wand once on her head, concentrates very hard and thinks of the color she wants it to be
Ristaris!
Raven colored hair, starting where her wand touchs the top of her head slowly changes to a bright reddish-orange.
Now you try class.
