When is the end of term? I'm sorry, I'm a first year here.

A owl flies in and drops a note into the Professor's hands. She reads it quickly.

Forgive me class but I must attend to a rather urgent matter. The homework for today has been put up on the board. Feel free to practice today's lesson some more.

Professor Dyreth transifgures into a large red tailed hawk, leaps up and glides out the window holding the letter in one talon and follows the owl.

*Watches how the teacher leaves dissapointed, then leaves a note on her desk.

Professor Dyreth,
I was wondering if you could answer me a doubt about todays lesson: If an Metamorphagi is the same as a Metamorphmagus - that's to say a person with a natural magical ability to change into the pshychical form or another person and/or animal, or if it's a general concept that enclose both Metamorphmagus and Animagi the same? Whaever way you find to respond me it will be truly appreciated.

*adds a note to this and sends it back via owlpost*
Nadia, no Metamorphmagi and Animagi are two seperate and distinct skills within the realm of Wizardry. Animagi transfigure themselves into animals. They can remember all they have done, seen and experienced while in animal form but for all purposes they must act as the natural animal would itself. For example while in my own Animagus form of a hawk, I cannot write or drink water from a glass, or speak. But I can think as myself and read and understand as I would any other time. Metamorphmagi only transfigure aspects of their appearance such as the shape of their nose, ears, their hair color and style, eye color, figure or their entire appearance. While many aspects of the two skills are similar they are still quite seperate. For example my great-grand mother was a Metamorphmagus but not an Animagus. She could alter her appearance so she appeared as a 20 year old male wizard or such. But she did not master the skill of Animagi and could not transfigure herself into an animal. As for myself. I do have some in-born heritage in Metamorphing but not enough to change anything other than my hair or eye color without using a wand. But i have mastered my skills as an Animagus. We will begin covering all this in our next lesson.

Thank you for your questions and your interest.

Professor Kiari Dyreth

*adds one more reply to Nadia's note*
One more thing dear. The term Metamorphmagi refers to a group or collective of witches and wizards who can metamorph or when talking about the subject in general. Metamorphmagus is a single witch or wizard who can metamorph. Animagi is the collective or group term for transifguring into an animal or when talking about the subject in general. Animagus is a single persona who can transifgure themselves into an animal.

(Also i must apoligize i was spelling Metamorphmagus and Metamorphmagi without the 'm' in magus on the end. I had apparently copied it down wrong. Sorry you got stuck with such an absent minded Professor LOL I believe that was the confusion She-Who-Must had with my explainations.)

*Walks in late, but as quitely as she cans.*
*She noticed that everyone was getting something off the shelfs so she went to the shelfs as quickly as she can.
*Grabed a rock and went back to a desk and sat next to a girl and takes out her wand.
