You see a notice tacked to the front door of the classroom: Attention students. The first DADA class will occur Thursday, March 18 at 8:00 EST. Please be prompt and bring all of your supplies with you. Please also bring with you any ideas or topics you would like to discuss this term, as well as a positive attitude. |
The door to the DADA classroom is open. You enter and see the Professor at the front of the room, feverishly writing on a sheet of parchment. "Hello, class will begin shortly. Please find a seat and get your supplies ready." She smiled and returned to her notes. |
Chelsea walks in, eager for the first DADA lesson to begin. She takes a seat near the back and places her bag on the table, getting ready. |
:Christina slowly walks into the classroom taking a seat toward the back of the class: "hello Professor" |
*Nadia anters the class and finds a seat in the front row, not wanting to miss anything.* "Good afternoon, Professor." |
Alana walks into the class and takes a seat near the front, pulling out her quill, ink, and parchment. |
Arkee squirmed in her seat. She wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of having to learn how to defend herself. To her, it implied that she would most definately find herself in a situation that required this kind of knowledge, and of course nobody wants to be in that kind of situation. "Professor, will there be a review session for students who didn't attend last year?" she asked. |
Rowen walks in and sits down by Chelsea. She starts to get her supplies out of her bag. |
*walks in and picks a seat near the front* Hello Professor, I can't wait for the lesson to start! *takes out supplies and waits for others to come in* |
Looks up at Rowen. "Hey! Excited?" |
Dawn walks in and takes a seat, pulling out her suplies and folder. |
Moony walks in and can't wait for class to start. "Hello, Proffesor." She takes a seat near the front and starts to get ready. Smiling non-stop. |
"A bit," Rowen says, smiling at Chelsea |
*Smiles & Waves at Christina, Chelsea and Dawn. Then Nadia takes her supplies: her wand, her books for basic defense against dark arts, and her own items, like her own Foe Glass, securely pocketed in her robes.* |
Sky walks in and takes a seat in the middle of the room. She doesn't want to seem overly eager by sitting up front. |
quidditch_chick walks into the classroom ready to start her first class of defense against the dark arts. She sits down by some of the ravenclaws and takes out her wand, quill, paper, etc. "Hello...." |
"I'M here! I'm not late! Had to run!" Sakura sits down by a window and takes out her stuff. |
:Waves to Nadia: "hey excited about class?" |
*Padfoot takes a seat next to Moony* "Hi Professor, nice to be in class!" |
"Quitage_chick! good, i'm glad i'm not the only raven claw!" Waves |
"Hi, Padfoot" Moony turns to her friend."Are you excited?" Moony now was happier then ever. |
Alana looks around. "I'm a second year, does that make me special?" |
Professor Rae smiled at the large group of eager students. "Welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts. I"m not much for protocol, so let's just call it what you all call it anyway. DADA. I hope you are all as eager to learn as I am to teach. I have posted class rules outside my office, and I hope you took the opportunity to review them before showing up today. I'd like to remind you not to chat during class. Now... enough boring talk. Let's get started." The professor walked around her desk and sat on the front of it, her legs swinging a bit. "I'm Professor Cassandra Rae. I do have a bit of background in the Dark Arts, which is why Headmistress Loryen asked me to teach you this year. Obviously, I know about the Dark Arts, but what I'd really like to learn during the first class is what YOU know." "Why do you think we need to learn about defense against the Dark Arts?" |
*walks into the class room and takes an empty chair* |
"Why would being a second year make you special?" |
