I thought the transformation involved a need to hurt other people, and in the absence of other people the werewolf would hurt himself. You said the wolfsbane potion isn't always effective, and if that's true and if it's true that it is extremely painful to transform, why would a werewolf need to hurt himself more? Is it a self-destructive impulse?

"Well i think some people go through that. I think some people can't control themselves and act really strange and makes people annoyed and irritated with them. Plus they rather be alone. For noe wants to be near them when they go through that. It must be tough" she said.

I guess my mistake in trying to understand it is that I can't realize what it's like to be only a quarter there....sorry. And thank you for answering such a difficult question.

*Falls silent and frowns. That's just funny. The only person being rude in here was Ron Potter and towards Jessie nonetheless. Mr Jerome could have feel offended but it wasn't intentional and everyone appologized for that. Yes, this is just so convenient, Mrs Rae. Nadia thinks to herself.
She continues to frown at the professor and the unfairness of it all. Clearly her very suspectings were true. She mildly wondered if she should speak oloud her worries and discontent.

Think of it like.... like when people return from war. You know, and everyone goes on and on, thinking it is this great experience. And they prob and ask questions. And the soldier is haunted by those memories and hurt having to recall them. That's a bit like what Mr. Jerome's experience is like, although he will never be able to leave this war." | |

Professor Rae took Professor Sebastian's silence as a clear signal they weren't going to get much else out of him. She sighed and realized that her class had been almost completely unsuccessful. It was enough to make her nearly cry... this was her first year teaching afterall. And there were all these things... and the students didn't like her class...
"Excuse me, students. That's enough for the day, I think. Professor Sebastian has been very kind in coming to see us. I had hoped he might..." she sniffed a bit and then moved quickly to the door. "Six inches on what you know about werewolves, due a week from today." She left in a flurry, hoping she could just make it to her office.
