| | Three Broomsticks The Three Broomsticks is the most well-known pub in the small village, which is why it is often rather crowded with students and adults alike. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings with a sign featuring the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way. It certainly looks better kept than the Hog's Head down the street.
Once you enter the pub, the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly in front of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate; however, if you're early enough, you can bet your galleons that you'll be nice and toasty by the fire. To the left is the bar where the bartender waits to take your order.

| Open Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Daisy entered the Three Broomsticks and headed over to the counter to order her meal. She always ordered the same thing which was a serve of fish and chips, a butterbeer and a brownie and paid the bartender the correct amount of money. Soon, Daisy was sitting at a table near the fireplace, ready to eat her meal. "I wonder if any of my friends will be here, soon?" Daisy thought.

Caledon Roth The Leaky Cauldron | For Jess/Skylar Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Yeah, Fiyero was not in a shopping mood today. Between his round the clock studying for NEWTs and hard feelings over being passed over for quidditch captain again, he hadn't been sleeping well the past few months. And it wasn't helping his mood that it was so close to Valentine's Day. Holy hippogriffs, how he hated that holiday! All that gushy romantic stuff made him want to barf, and even if that was his style, the only girl he was interested in was dating some other guy, last he heard.
He sat at a table in the back of the Three Broomsticks far away from any lovey dovey couples who might come in here, an untouched butterbeer sitting on the table and his Ancient Runes textbook open in front of him. Now he had to study even harder if he was going to get into a good university, since a quidditch scholarship was looking out of the question at this point.

Those were all things that Skylar was feeling and while she supposedly had her friends, the two people she wanted to talk to most, she couldn't find the words to do so and thus felt even more isolated. She didn't understand why any of this was happening, which of course, made focusing on quidditch and NEWTs that much more difficult. Last year she had made it quite known that she didn't have interest in Valentine's Day because it resurfaced feelings of her first love, but this year was vowed to be different. She had closure with Brent on the train home last year, she and Apollo were in a good place. Or so she thought. But apparently, she thought wrong, because he didn't want her. She'd given him everything and then he just threw it all away and she had no idea why.
Cue entering the three broomsticks, which seemed like the wrong place for someone who'd been craving to spend time alone. But maybe it was because of her forced isolation that she wanted to observe people... and maybe it was because of her confused state that she sought out the corner, after ordering a butterbeer. Fiyero. Nice safe Gryffindor guy. He wouldn't ask questions. Hopefully. "May I?" she asked softly, noting the textbook before him. "How's your studying going?" She nodded subtly at the text. Although if he didn't want to talk, she'd be okay with that, even if her thoughts were a rather dark place right now.

Although if he didn't want to talk, she'd be okay with that, even if her thoughts were a rather dark place right now. Fiyero kept his eyes on his textbook, determined to block out everything going on around him. In his current mood, he was liable to hex anybody who started acting too cheery around him, and a visit to Hawthorne's- or, Merlin forbid, Marchand's office was the last thing he wanted! Probably for the best... no matter how much he studied, he could never make sense of runes. Sometimes he wondered if he only made it to NEWTs level Ancient Runes because his OWL got switched with someone who was actually good at the subject!
He was so distracted by his brooding studying that he barely heard someone speaking to him. "Uh huh," he mumbled, gesturing toward an empty chair near him. It was only at the mention of his studying that he looked up from his book and saw Skylar. All his anger at being passed over for quidditch captain for the second year in a row came rushing back. Now she was someone who deserved to be captain, not who got picked because the head of house thought she was sweet and adorable or needed a confidence boost or some sentimental muck like that! If only he was in any house but Gryffindor... at least he would've stood a chance.
He took a sip of butterbeer to distract himself from his thoughts - or more to the point, keep himself from voicing them out loud. He thought Skylar would probably side with Marchand, and he didn't want to argue. "It's going okay, I guess," he replied, setting his glass down. "Runes isn't one of my better subjects." Blink, blink. Was it just him or did Skylar seem a little... off? He was mildly concerned, but he wasn't going to pry. If she wanted to talk, that was up to her.

| For anyone! Dem Carters | even 🕊🕊 have pride | | Expecto PAWtronum 🐈 | U-NA-GI Having placed his coat on the back of his chair (he didn't trust anyone not to steal it from the coat rack by the door), Ronan sat at his chosen table, looking down at his water glass, contemplating life in general. Or, well, how most people at Hogwarts tended to glum onto and date who he considered to be complete airheads. Honestly, was it to avoid being challenged intellectually? Because that was just sad. Or was it that those whom he considered smart were actually dumber than he had originally thought?
Or was there something wrong with him? Something that he wasn't seeing because he wasn't looking objectively? Was he too reckless? Too outspoken? Too Gryffindor? Whatever that meant.
Okay, this line of thought was just making feel even worse than he had the past two days. Back to where it was almost necessary to make another visit to the old punching bag, where he'd probably hit the stupid thing hard enough to cause it to swing back and give him yet another black eye.

Back to where it was almost necessary to make another visit to the old punching bag, where he'd probably hit the stupid thing hard enough to cause it to swing back and give him yet another black eye. Daisy was just finishing her meal when she spotted Ronan sitting down. As she drank the last mouthful of her Butterbeer, Daisy tried to work him out. He could be at times, a tad volatile but then he did show some leadership skills. He is Head Boy after all. The Hufflepuff decided to be brave and head on over. "If he gives me attitude, I just might tip that glass of water over his head." |
