 For those who belong in Slytherin House, on the right side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Green banners containing an embroidered silver snake float above the polished table in honour of the cunning Salazar Slytherin. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growing as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmistress Hawthorne to deliver her speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Skylar was NOT late; nope, she'd merely slipped in just before the headmistress' speech, thank goodness. She just had to make a quick run to the dorms to get her new companions situated in the dormitory, as she didn't quite trust the house elves and caretaker to transport them....
Sliding into the seat next to the Head Girl, she gave a small smile to the bestie as she glanced around. Oh bummer, she missed most of the sorting, but ooh look! Evie was a Hufflepuff!!! The first of the Diggory clan and Skylar couldn't help but feel super duper excited for the little sister. She glanced down her own house table, recognizing Vivian's sister clad in green now. And a few other first year snakes. So exciting!!! She beamed friendly smiles at all of them, wondering which ones might be good quidditch recruits ....
A quick glance up at the staff dais informed the captain for the first time in her seven years of Hogwarts, there were NO changes to the staffing!!! They all wanted to see her graduate, obviously ....
And yay, food!

”pleasure to meet you Lydia,” she smiled over to her and then watched in awe as she asked about the wig. ”…do you need to powder it still even as a Ghost?” she asked fully intrigued. Maybe, for all she knew he was stuck wearing whatever he wore when he died. Merlin, if that were the case she needed to make sure she died in something b e a u t i f u l…and maybe sparkly. ”I like that you used the name too Lydia, do you have any nicknames you…well, hate? So I can obviously underhandedly hex people that use them” and not so she could tell people to use it just to hex them.
Lydia blinked in surprise as more food than she could ever have imagined appeared...well, magically on the table before them. She'd listened intently to the headmistress's speech. It was quite brief, which Lydia was extremely thankful for now that the food had finally arrived. Forgetting propriety for the moment, Lydia began to heap food onto her plate. Oh, she would definitely be in a food coma later tonight...
In between bites of mashed potatoes, she spoke to Beth. " Hmm, luckily the name Lydia doesn't afford too many awful nickname opportunities," she said. " However, I've never been fond of 'Lyddy.' It just sounds so babyish, you know?"

He actually responded with kindness. His tone turned a bit sour though as he repeated appalled "I would very much mind, thank you very much. Sir Baron, of Sir Bloodiness is what you are expected to call me nothing else." A little hurt he turned his attention away to another student. Quote:

The Baron was turning to leave when the spectres eyes landed on fourth year, Georgina as she scurried into the hall very late. And was that toilet paper that she had sticking out under her skirt hem? Disgusting. Floating over to towards Georgie he whispered hoarsly "Good evening Georgina.! and a after a short pause he added leaning closer. "You forgot a piece of toilet paper it’s sticking out, quite visible under your skirt." Which was very and higly inapproriate.
