Ravenclaw Table https://s26.postimg.cc/q4wevjy55/rav...ble-banner.jpg For those who belong in Ravenclaw House, in the middle of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Blue banners containing an embroidered bronze eagle float above the polished table in honour of the wise Rowena Ravenclaw. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages. |
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH The little Chloe let out a huge sigh as she forced herself to sit at the table. Ever since the attack she had kept to herself more and stayed pretty quiet other than her group that she stayed close with. She had failed this term in her eyes and there was no way the professors were going to let her come back to Hogwarts and even if they did would her parents? Once her Uncle got wind of what had happened (if he hadn't already) he would go right to her parents and boom she'd be done, she just knew it. Putting her arms on the table and hiding her face she thought maybe she could just go invisible if she tried hard enough, but then, of course, she wouldn't, she barely got spells right this term. Both her parents were brilliant at school and so far this term she knew one thing, the sorting hat got her very wrong and she'd never be able to live up to her prefect parents names here at Hogwarts, plus on top of her academics, her cowardly ways with the attack, she also failed her entire house at Quidditch this term. Instead of being the greatest first year to play seeker she became the worst first year to play seeker. Was it over yet? |
This was it. Her last feast ever in the Great Hall, and Quinn was rather surprised honestly to find herself feeling bittersweet about it. Maybe she had come to feel, at least slightly, at home here after all? Whatever the reason for the mix of emotions, Quinn was sure she was making the right choice. Next year would be better for sure. New school. New culture. New...her. A fresh start at last. And that was almost as wonderful a thought to her as realizing that tomorrow, she'll be free of her birth parents for good, and the process began to make her official a Moon. She made her way down the table and took an open seat at random. "Hey, Chloe," she said, trying to match the girl's usual cheerfulness. Only after did she realize Chloe looked anything but cheerful. "Everything okay?" |
Another year gone. And they were in last place for House Cup yet again. Could they win the cup next year please? But Merlin's Beard what a year it had been. He should be lucky to be alive cause of the inferi attack. He wondered if the attack would be in books years later and the students then would learn from it in History of Magic. He also wondered how the title would be. Attack of the Inferi? Hogwarts during Inferi attack? The battle of Hogwarts 372? Cause honestly, for all its promises, Hogwarts was DEFINITELY not the safest place on earth. His grandpa's house in the woods was safer than this place. Dorian finally reached the Ravenclaw table and waved a hand at Chloe and Quinn and then sat down on the bench. Uuuugh could they hurry up and eat yet? He did not care to listen to which House had won cause it wasn't Ravenclaw. Mweh. |
Nettie's first year had been...well, not what she expected, to say the least. She had done decent in her classes, but adjusting to coursework at a higher level had been a bit difficult at first and she hadn't caught up the way she had wanted to. Then there had been Quidditch - that hadn't gone to plan either. The whole Inferi thing had been...EXCITING, now that she looked back on it. In the moment, it had been terrifying to say the least. She couldn't help but be proud of herself, though. She'd fought of INFERI! And managed to come out alive! And she wasn't even a teenager yet! Her parents hadn't exactly been THRILLED about that, though. Still, they hadn't made any plans to pull her from school, which was good, because she would have thrown a FIT. Sitting down at the table, she turned to Chloe, Quinn and Dorian, and couldn't help but notice that everyone seemed kind of down. Not too surprising, she supposed. "How is everyone holding up?" she asked the group. |
Oh the Headmistress was there! That meant that the food would appear soon which made him feel a little bit better. The Ravenclaw had been thinking about wanting to transfer to a different school, one who did not have life threatening situations each year. But he knew it would be a losing battle. They didn't even have enough money to have their own house let alone moving to a different country. He guessed he had to suck it up for now but if it got too dangerous next time he would simply not go. A voice distracted him from his thoughts and he looked up to see Trinetta taking a seat at the table. "We're in fourth place for the House Cup...." he said gloomy to her question and he picked up a spoon and began twirling it around on the table. "Again..." he wanted to win the Cup at least once in his years ... |
Chloe heard people coming around the table and she recognized the voices. She didn't want to pick up her head though, she didn't feel like she had the energy. Did professors tell you that you failed before you left or did they wait until they went home and sent an owl to their parents? Dear parents, your child failed Hogwarts and isn't allowed back. That was exactly what was going to happen. She couldn't have passed this term at all, she wasn't even sure if she'd ever make the quidditch team again after she couldn't even catch more then one snitch. Knowing the voices were talking to her so she finally lifted her head. "How could everything be okay after what we went through? How could things be okay when I couldn't do anything? I stink at being a witch, I stink at all of it." Her body trembled thinking about everything they went through. Seeing Nettie she just shrugged and put her head back down on the table. |
*nods to all in here* Kirk headed toward the ending feast. He was full of mixed feelings, graduating and then seeing the aftermath of the battle didn't help much. It was difficult to find the words to describe how he was coping with everything. After seeing his cousin's among other's injuries there was some survivor's guilt within. Not that anyone died, but from him not being able to physically do much from the upper floors despite his intentions. The House standings didn't really matter to him at this point anymore after the battle, he was finished with Hogwarts. He had tried. Everyone else in his house tried as well. That was it. This... was really it. Soon Kirk wouldn't be a seventh year any longer. N.E.W.T studies were finished and he'd be gone momentarily... but for now, he would sit with his housemates. Soon as he sat down, he had his face on the table, facing upward at the ceiling. It was calm, no visible stars though due to overcast. The signs were clear despite that, he just had to see his housemates & Quidditch mates again as they joined in one by one. "Hey," He said to everyone first noticing Quinn, Dorian, Trinetta and... well the youngest Chloe was going through a rough spell. To Trinetta's question, "Glad the worst's over." Chloe however.. hmm, the things she was spilling out. The Captain rested a hand on her shoulder for support. "What's okay is that we're here and how strong we are to make it through that." She was free to take it however she'd like. |
Nettie blinked at Dorian. She hadn't meant the house cup but...if that was what the older boy was focused on, that was a good sign, yes? She smiled at him in an encouraging manner. "I'm sure we'll do a lot better next year! I know I had a bit of troubling adjusting to how classes are run but I'm getting better!" she added with a grin. She knew she hadn't done a WHOLE lot to help, but she was transferring to a new school AND a new country. She deserved to cut a break, ok?! She then turned to Chloe and frowned, giving her a little squeeze on the arm. "It's ok, Chloe. We're just first years. Of COURSE we couldn't do more! You don't stink at being a witch. You're still learning!" They all were, even her older siblings! And they were graduated and well on their way to having good careers. You never STOPPED learning, in Nettie's opinion. |
Quinn nodded in return at Dorian and Nettie, given one last quick look of concern toward Chloe before turning her attention to the others. "I'm holding up fine. Looking forward to summer. How about you?" She was careful not add that she was looking forward to transferring out of Hogwarts too. There was no need for that just yet. She raised an eyebrow at Dorian's response, but said nothing. Ending up 4th, just didn't seem like the end of the world, especially following an inferi attack, and all. Ravenclaw house could do with a bit of perspective, but, it wasn't going to come from her. And though, the question about summer was probably directed at her as well as the others, she remained silent. Her own plans involved emancipation from her birth parents, getting adopted, studying Norwegian everyday, and getting ready to go to school abroad. All of which seemed too complicated and a bit too heavy to get into right now, especially given the overall mood of the table. Nope, she was just going to sit and listen to what others had planned for summer. That was until Chloe answered at last, filling them all in on her very bleak outlook currently. Quinn sat there a moment, somewhat stunned by it. Not so much Chloe's mood, but just....she wasn't good with this stuff and had no clue what to do or how to respond or what. Quinn had froze at the sight of the inferi, being no help at all, and yet, inferi almost felt like the easier option to her. And....yeah, no. The others were helping Chloe, and would probably do a much better job than she would. This wasn't her. And everyone's mood was tugging on hers, so... "Welp, I think I'll go visit the Gryffindor table for a bit. Uh, feel better everyone?" Quinn quickly swung her legs around on the bench, stood, and b-lined it to the Gryffindor table. |
All of you. At least OWLs were over, or not was there a chance that she could retake them under the circumstances, right? She was pretty sure she had failed EVERYTHING. She had spent all if not most of the term studying and all of that went to waste after the stress of inferi attack. Hogwarts should have a extenuating circumstance clause when it came to having to sit OWLs and NEWTs exams. Juni was all for this cause, and maybe she would get something passed with that by the time she would be sitting her NEWTs. That was if she was even allowed to come back. This was possibly the last straw with her father and her going to Hogwarts. The time that she was cursed the option had been put on the table that she could go back if she felt safe. But this time inferi she had no doubt that there was going to even be a plea bargain for this case. She approached the Ravenclaw table with a all but enthusiastic look on her face. The first person she seen was Kirk, which that didn’t change her mood in the least. ”Well said Captain.” That speech did seem to lift her spirits some. He of course would always be her captain no matter what. She was sad that it was his last term. Anywho she addressed the table at larger which also included Nettie, Callie, little Chloe and Dorian ”So who’s ready for some food tonight?” She slipped down next to Chloe who seemed to be in the same mood she found herself in. ”Aww Chloe that’s just not true. You are wonderful. We all were.” She wrapped her arms around the younger girl. Juni was not a hugger so that meant she really meant it. Poor Chloe though she was just a first year. Wait until your fifth year kid. Could she sneak off to the Slytherin table now? |
Everybody! (sorry this is so short!) After leaving the Hufflepuffs, Gaston's next stop was the Ravenclaw table. His heart sank as he approached. Was he imagining things or did the Ravenclaws look a bit... down? He could understand; it was only natural after all they'd been through this term. He felt the same way himself. "Good evening, Ravenclaws," he greeted, giving them all a small encouraging smile in hopes of cheering them up. His eyes lingered on Dorian, Nettie, and Chloe - the trio who had been with him in the entrance hall, and he felt the familiar sting of guilt knowing he hadn't done enough for them that night. He couldn't help but overhear Chloe's words, and his heart went out to her. He wanted to comfort her, but a few of the others were already doing just that; he beamed at Nettie, Juni, and Kirk as he continued down the table. Hopefully they'd be able to reassure Chloe better than he ever could! He stopped as he came to the Quidditch captain. "Hello, Mr. Forsfelle," he said, with a small smile. He pulled a box out of his jacket pocket and set it on the table in front of him; inside the box was a quill pen. "Congratulations on graduating. What's next for you?" |
