| | Mirror Not far from the balcony, a large gilded mirror can be found on the fourth-floor corridor. Once upon a time, the mirror hid a secret passageway that would take anyone to Hogsmeade undetected at any time. Unfortunately, there was a cave in mid-way that made the passage end up not leading anywhere. Nevertheless, if you're in a pickle and can get the mirror off the wall and back again, you would at least have a neat hiding place.
Most people just try using the mirror to check on their appearance throughout the day. Oddly enough, however, the mirror doesn't show ones reflection. Always being shown in the mirror is a scene of handsome chandeliers, elegant landscape oil paintings, and golden draperies, which is not at all what the wall of the corridor behind you looks like. This is, of course, one of Hogwarts' many mysteries. The location of the room that the mirror is showing is unknown to everyone today. But every now and then, a dark figure can be spotted in the background before disappearing again.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | Kye had passed by this mirror quite a few times in her time here, but she had never actually stopped to look for that long. It didn't show her reflection, so what good was it when she was rushing to class? Right now though, she had nowhere to be. She had always been curious about where this depicted room was. She stood about a foot from the mirror, trying to take in the detail of it all. Hmmm were there gold draperies at Hogwarts? Besides perhaps in the Gryffindor common room. Yes, Kye always imagined Gryffindors throwing themselves a party every day to say "Hey we're Gryffindors!" Eh, but this definitely wasn't a common room being shown in the mirror. Did anyone kn... OH. WAIT. Was that? It was the little dark figure someone had once told her came through. "Hello?" she said to it, unsure if it would work like a painting. Come back little guy!

Myrtle was just minding her own business and taking a break from her sad bathroom that was always filled up with petty girls these days by aimlessly floating around the castle. At first she was quite giddy about this. There were a lot of cute boys to stalk say hello to these days. BUT NONE OF THEM SAID HELLO TO HER. NONE OF THEM CARED ABOUT MISERABLE MOANING MYRTLE.
She couldn't even splash them all with toilet water since she was miles away from her bathroom. All she could do was float away, screaming and wailing.
That was when she stumbled upon a girl, who was so VAIN staring at a mirror in the middle of the corridor. She opened her mouth, but then started to cackle uncontrollably. That girl was staring into a mirror that didn't even work. "Good luck *CACKLE CACKLE* finding any zits on your face *CACKLE CAKCLE* using that mirror!"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | Myrtle! Wait little figure!! Kye was honestly feeling a wave of disappointment that she couldn't see the silhouette longer, or get some kind of acknowledgment from him. She didn't have long to pout before she heard the sudden eruption of cackling... She didn't even need to turn her head, as she knew that cackling anywhere, even when it wasn't near running water. She would have just said hello to Myrtle, but Myrtle had other plans apparently... At the mention of zits, Kye's head whipped around to face Myrtle, eyebrows furrowed. "Know that from experience, do you??" Kye retorted. Okay maybe a bit immature, but Myrtle started it! "I am NOT looking for zits, thank you very much! I was looking at the figure." And now she was thinking heavily about the pimple she knew she had growing on her cheek, and UGH self conscious now!! |

CACKLE. CACKLE. CACKLE.
Wait. Know that from experience, do you? WHAT?!!!!!!
SHE. WAS. OFFENDED. If Myrtle were STILL ALIVE, her face would be redder than a Gryffindor's robes. But she was DEAD. All she could do at this point was pout and choke back the tears because she was trying to be ANGRY right now. "I see no figure!" the ghost snapped, looking at the mirror and then back at the girl. "I only see that GIANT zit growing on your cheek!" Thank Merlin she was there to let the girl know. Myrtle was a LIFE SAVER.
Pay no attention to the angry tears that were starting to steam down her own pimply face.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | "Maybe if you looked past my zits you would be able to see!" she said, voice raising out of embarrassment at being called out. It didn't even matter that no one was around to hear. Kye would have happily invited Myrtle to look for the silhouette WITH her but NOOOOOOOOO Myrtle was being rude. Hmph. "You know you'd probably get along with more people if you didn't have such an attitude..." |

Oh? SNIFF. She had an attitude? SNIFF SNIFF.
The mirror was long forgotten. Myrtle was still hung up over how OFFENDED she was. How badly she wished they were in her bathroom right now. A huge toilet dive was needed right now. "Well, that's so EASY for you to say isn't it?" the ghost replied back in between sniffles. She then wiped away her translucent tears that just kept on pouring. "Of course you don't have an attitude, Miss Zit Face. It must be so EASY for you, being ALIVE and having LIVING friends!"
SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF. "At least you're not DEAD!" she shouted, flying through the girl for extra emphasis. "Nobody ever wants to be friends with a DEAD GIRL! NOBODY CARES ABOUT MEEEEEEEE!"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | Myrtle! (Hope you know we secretly love you) In earlier years, Kye may have felt bad that Myrtle was crying buuut unfortunately the empathy had all but dissipated these days. Not that she had anything against Myrtle... except right now. At the next outburst, Kye was completely off guard... Not knowing that she would be able to get 'run through by a ghost' off her bucket list... "Well maybe if you don't INSULT people who are MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS!" Honestly, Kye didn't see any problem with being friends with a ghost as a living person, but Myrtle just made it so hard! "You know, Bartholomew has plenty of student friends, because he's NICE and doesn't call people ZIT FACE." Even the Bloody Baron got along with people better than this. Kye took a breath to calm herself, as she didn't want to be yelling through the corridor anymore. Not to mention she was still trying to get over that unexpected chill that comes from a ghost bum rushing you. |

More tears streamed down Myrtle's face. Only certain words that the girl was saying stick with her. Insult. Minding their own business. THAT WAS HOW SHE HAD DIED. That dreadful Olive Hornby had made fun of her glasses, which caused her to flee to the bathroom WHERE SHE DIED. She still remembered that boy's voice and that hideous monster... "HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME!" the ghost sobbed, followed by a loud wail. "Barty is a FISH! An oversized fish that doesn't understand how AWFUL people are. I bet he'd have a different outlook if HE were MURDERED IN A LOO."
SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF. Yes, this was all about her now. "NO ONE UNDERSTANDSSSSSSSSSSSS!"
And with a high-pitched shriek, Myrtle flew through the girl again and went to cry in the solitude of her stall.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | Oh for Merlin's sake... Kye had had just about enough of Myrtle's twisting of everything. After all, she had insulted Kye without prompt! Kye had a dead pan look on her face by now which quickly changed to a mix of annoyance and discomfort as the icy feeling shot through her. Any words that had been forming had frozen or had in some other way managed to slip her mind. The goosebumps raised quickly, making Kye shiver as she watched Myrtle fly away. Kye shook her head, looked back at the mirror briefly before deciding she was no longer interested in the silhouette, and headed back downstairs.
