Honeydukes is the greatest (and only) candy shop in Hogsmeade that never has a quiet day. Knowing that the place is famous for its sugary delights that are too scrumptious to resist, students and adults alike flock to this shop to satisfy their sweet tooth. If you were to peek through the window, you will witness shelves full of hundreds of candy jars and boxes as well as a large crowd of customers greedily snatching them before they all run out.
A million coloured boxes and wrappers capture your attention the moment you step inside the shop. The walls are adorned with green shelving, the counters hold jars and boxes of different candies, and there is even a station for trying out candy samples from chocolate frogs to jelly slugs and anything in between. Feel free to explore the entirety of the stop; just refrain from going down to (or coming out of...) the cellar where crates and boxes full of candy are stored.

With V-day approaching, Kye couldn't help but notice that her sweet tooth was going crazy. Her first stop was to treat herself with some of her favorite fudge! She would come back later to actually replenish her supply, but yummmmm fudge! Kye made her way through the store, getting an idea of what she would include in her haul before making her way to the fudge.

As she looked at the types of fudge being offered today, Kye felt that slight whiplash and turned to see who had hit her, hand going for her wand (just in case). It took her a moment or two before she realized who was standing in her little bubble. "Viv!" she smiled slightly, relaxing her arm. "I guess I won't hex you then... You doing okay?" Kye tilted her head in concern, seeing that slightly dazed look in her dormie's eyes. Kye wondered if it was just the very common zombie expression that could be found on pretty much every seventh year's face these days, or if it was something else.

Gaston's blue eyes scanned the chocolate displays, searching for the right flavor to give his wife. Valentine's Day was fast approaching, and while he already had a gift for Rose - and a little one for Desiree too, so she wouldn't get jealous - one couldn't go wrong with chocolates. As he perused the displays, he picked up a chocolate frog to give his daughter sometime when Rose wasn't looking. He knew the hopping would make her laugh, and if she was anything like her dad, she wouldn't pass up a chocolatey treat!
He noticed the two Slytherin girls (Kye and Vivian) as he continued browsing. He smiled, giving them each a polite nod of acknowledgement by way of a greeting, but his face fell as he noticed how... off the Head girl seemed. Was she alright? Probably just seventh year jitters... at least, he hoped that's all it was! He was getting worried, but for now, he would keep his distance.

Even if Kye had almost took her wand out, Vivian wouldn't have noticed. She was too... distracted, and she liked to keep it that way. The blond really didn't need to let her own emotions overwhelm her at the moment. But she immediately looked up when someone called for her name. "Oh. Hi, Kye," the blond replied, offering half a smile at her dorm mate.
She even forced a small laugh at the obvious hex joke. Vivian didn't want that to happen. But the question that followed had been expected, and the blond simply shrugged a shoulder. "I'm good. I'm just not feeling the Valentines vibe this weekend, y'know?" No bitter feelings, though. But a subject change was necessary because Vivian wasn't in the right mindset to talk about stuff. "Were you planning to buy some?"
Glancing sideways, Vivian saw her Charms professor and nodded in acknowledgement, along with a small smile. The seventh year jitters were a contributing factor to her general mood today, for sure.

She gave him a little wave and smile in response, wanting to focus back on her dormie. "Hey no worries. and but of course!! I'm my own valentine so I'm treating myself right!" Kye smiled mischievously at her roommate while mock-presenting the fudge counter. "I'll be yours too today, which kind do you prefer?" Kye practically jumped to face the options again, more excited about this than grabbing a drink at The Three Broomsticks right now. "I'm definitely getting thiiiis..." she pointed at a very chocolatey one, "aaand I haven't quite decided what else yet." If there was ever a time for Kye to say this, it was now: They deserved to treat themselves! With Quidditch, homework, NEWTs, each other... Merlin knew they deserved fudge. At an attempt to move on to a better topic, Kye spoke again. "So do you have an itinerary while you're here? I think my main stops were for fudge, firewhisky, and quills... and sugar quills" Mmmm sugar quills.

Vivian purposely tried to keep her response as vague as possible, and it wasn't just for her conversations with Kye. It was really with everyone, their fellow dorm mates, other friends, and even her boy person. The Head Girl was just feeling off about things.
But she couldn't help but smile a tiny bit at her dormie's suggestion. "That sounds great." Vivian had been her own date before, so she understood the want to spoil herself on what used to be single awareness day. She did have Chase, but she figured it was more than okay to spend time with Kye too. Friends make awesome dates, as that was proven when she went with Felicity to the Merlin's Pride three years ago. "It doesn't matter. I just want for us to enjoy the day." Pretend like nothing was bothering her and all, Vivian was good at that.
Definitely, Vivian was buying some fudge too. Weren't these a Honeydukes specialty? "Me too," she let out a small laugh. "And maybe... licorice wands, too... and sugar quills." Her faves, of course. It made studying and stressing out a bit more bearable. As for her itinerary, Vivian shook her head. "Nowhere in particular. I just wanted to keep my mind off things." Firewhiskey, though. Hmm. Well, they were already seventeen.

Kye smiled, happy that she wasn't being fought on the suggestion. "Yes. Perfect. Okay. Hmm then we are getting chocolate dragon, aaand peanut butter and jellyfish!" See? She could be decisive sometimes. "Ooh definitely," she commented on the mention of licorice wands. Not that she needed any influence to buy more junk food this trip. Filling a bag with her other junk choices, she nodded at her dormie. "Well, you know where to find me if you need anything," she smiled at her. They didn't need to say anything else about it, but Kye felt a reminder was warranted. She could only imagine how much stress Vivi was going through. Kye couldn't imagine dealing with her normal stuff AND Head Girl duties. Kye needed her beauty sleep. She took a sample of her chocolate dragon and let out a satisfied, "Mm!" Taking another piece she offered it aggressively enthusiastically in Vivi's direction. Maybe the chocolate would help her dormie to enjoy getting out of the castle for the day.
