Gregory the Smarmy https://s26.postimg.cc/pznyx2cgp/gre...rmy-banner.jpg Further down the fifth-floor corridor awaits a statue of a rather large bald man with several chins. If you know your potions or history well enough, you will be able to identify this medieval wizard as the inventor of Gregory's Unctuous Unction. Though a fine wizard, he is credited for worming his way into King Richard's confidence and making a fortune by administrating his BFF-in-a-vial to the former Muggle ruler. |
With another Ancient Runes class having ended roughly ten minutes ago, Regina wasn't at all surprised to see that the fifth floor corridor had been deserted by the time she exited the classroom. There were, after all, other classes to attend and places to be. The headmistress herself had somewhere to be. However, she was in no rush to get to her office, so she was taking the long way there rather than taking her staircase shortcut. The features of the fifth floor were not unfamiliar to her. She didn't bat an eye when she strolled by the reading lounge, the door to the storeroom, and the balcony that overlooked the inside of the Clock Tower. Though when she came across the statue of Gregory the Smarmy, something about it caused her to stop. No, she wasn't there to reflect on the man's history. There was a slight gap behind the large man that she had never noticed before. Was that a passageway opening? Interesting... |

She gracefully made her way through the castle, searching for the Head Hooman. She could sense that the woman was somewhere in the upper part of the castle. Deeper into the castle Nuria went, but it didn't take her long to find who she was looking for - this old owl was just that good at her job. After swiftly landing, the envelope was set on the floor. "Hoo." Then Nuria took a moment to stretch her wings and, not needing any treats or pets, flew away. Text Cut: delivery! |
The opening so so interesting, in fact, that Regina had squeezes her hand through it. There was definitely something behind there. But, of course, ol' Greg was blocking the way and likely needed a password. Wasn't one mentioned somewhere in the notes the former heads of the school left behind? Surely she would remember something like that... Unexpected hooting distracted her from her thoughts. Blinking, the headmistress looked down at the statue's feet and saw an older-looking owl was there, a letter at her feet. She stepped aside and crouched down. Muttering a 'thank you' as the owl flew away, she picked up the envelope and opened it right there in the corridor. And then she read the letter, not once but twice. There was a tapestry that was connected to the hoard that had been found in the lake? It and the items wanted to be put on display? Forgetting all about the secret passageway behind the statue, the woman hastily backtracked down the corridor toward the narrow stairwell that would take her down to the entrance of her office. She had some letters to write, which would hopefully result in a great learning experience. |
