The Greenhouses are all kept neat and tidy by Professor Myers. Each one is evenly spaced out in their residing spot outside of the castle. There are five greenhouses, all of them done up to Professor Myer's idea of organization, which carefully follows past organization of the greenhouses with just a few changes. The air is a little crisper out here, students.
Greenhouses one through three are open to student aid and experimentation. If you're careful and confident, you can feel free to tend to the Venemous Tentaculas in Greenhouse Three or engage in a playful tug-of-war with the Devil's Snare in the Greenhouse Two. If you traipse through each greenhouse, you will identify almost every sort of magical plant that has ever been taught at Hogwarts. Bubotubers, puffapods, fanged geraniums, biting toadstools, flesh-eating shrubs, and so on..... and that's not even mentioning the assortment of Muggle flowers in Greenhouse One!
Each greenhouse has little shelves for cute or ordinary pots, as well as racks of tools and any other necessities you may need in the large corner cabinets. There's plenty of lab tables for setting up your own tinkering station, and sinks to clean up in too. Don't forget to add to the compost pile behind the greenhouses when you're done with your trimming!
OOC: Here's a basic guide of what you might find in each greenhouse; please remember to play realistically based on your character's age and skill level!

Herbology had to be one of her worst subjects. She didn't know why she had decided to go for the NEWT. Why did she have to be so ambitious with her class load?? Which of her career options had anything to do with Herbology?! None that she could think of if she was being honest. Nevertheless she was here, so she had to try... At least for now. She felt like she was barely scraping by, and as much as she hated it, Kye trudged through to Greenhouse Four, and began getting an area clear and ready for use.
Hm? Was that a noise? Kye looked over her shoulder, slight bout of paranoia setting in. Perhaps a creature had managed to escape from Care of Magical Creatures? Actually, she hoped that wasn't the case, since that was another one of her poor subjects. She shrugged it off and pulled out her textbook for reference. She looked at it blankly for a moment and blew a raspberry.

It was safe to call this a working breakfast for the Head Boy, considering that he was carrying a travel mug filled with coffee and a plate containing a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Which might just make Professor Myers flip if he saw it, but it wasn't like Ronan was a messy eater or anything. Quite the opposite, in fact.
The only sound he heard as he entered was the sound of someone blowing a raspberry. "I don't think that helps," he joked with a smile, shooing a fly that was after his bagel towards a Venus flytrap nearby.

Perhaps she was too caught up in her misery work, but Kye had not heard any footsteps approaching the greenhouse. When the Head Boy spoke out, Kye turned towards him and gave a small laugh. "Well, just thought I'd give it a try," she joked back. Well, at least he could probably tell she was useless at Herbology, in case he was thinking about asking for any help. Maybe she could get him to help her out? Was he any good at Herbology? She had always seen him as always being kind of sulky in class, so she hadn't really noticed his skill level. "So what brings you here so early?" she asked, getting a whiff of that bagel. Luckily she had had... wait, she had eaten something today hadn't she? Oh yea! That slice of toast. Well, hopefully that would hold her over until she was done here.

Yeah....he was much better at DADA and Muggle Studies than Herbology himself, so he wouldn't be much help either.
"Oh, my mum's been on me to bring my Herbology grade up. Don't really get why, I don't plan on doing anything that has to do with it...." Nope, he was still looking at being an Auror. He just hadn't decided on doing so in Britain or France yet.
Anyway, Ronan approached the station that Kye was at, figuring that between the two of them, they could figure something out.
What was that rustling sound? Was there someone else in here?

Kye nodded, knowing all too well about needing to bring up her grade... She wasn't feeling hounded by her parents, but she was hounding herself to raise it which was actually worse. "Same here... I want to work at the Ministry, but I have absolutely no intention of working in a field with Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures," she told him. Kye realized that this was already probably more conversation than she recalled ever having with Ronan, including Valentine's Day last year, but he seemed much more willing to talk/less tongue tied now.
As she thought about this, she heard the same rustling as before. She had thought maybe it had been from Ronan the first time, but now that he was standing in eye sight she could tell it wasn't him... Maybe someone else would be joining them soon? Maybe someone who was any good at Herbology? "Well hopefully we get some kind of epiphany before.. HEY" Kye stopped talking abruptly as a vine had just popped out from somewhere under the table and whipped itself around her right wrist. As she went to grab her wand, she found her situation getting worse. Nonverbal magic she could do, but wandless... not quite, and not when she was so flustered. "Ronan!" The vine had managed to get itself around both of her wrists, and all she could do was try to kick at it. Come on wandless magic, work!
The pale moonlight beamed down on the greenhouses, illuminating several pairs of cloudy, white eyes. Some of the Inferi managed to break away and converged on the buildings. A pair of hands, sparsely covered in decayed flesh with bones visible, gripped a door and ripped it off its hinges, flinging it aside as if it were no lighter than a gum wrapper. The sound of glass shattering echoed as another rotting hand punched a hole in one of the walls.
The creatures laid waste to the greenhouses. Tables were upended. Plants were yanked out of their pots and cast aside to die, while their pots smashed on the ground. The poor daffodils honked frantically until one Inferi silenced them by ripping their petals off. Another picked up the venomous tentacula and threw it at the wall, shattering both the pot and the wall.
Some of the carnivorous plants tried in vain to fight back by biting the Inferi’s skeletal appendages, only to be thrown off violently. The Devil’s Snare wound itself around their legs, but they snapped it in half as if it were a mere blade of grass. Soon the greenhouse floors were littered with dirt, dead plant parts, shards of glass and terra cotta, and a few gold coins that fell out of the creatures’ tattered clothing, but they weren't finished. Their rampage of terror was only getting started!

It was later than Felicity realised when she started to pack up her things, having become engrossed in studying for her Herbology NEWT. She stopped when she heard the noise of the door opening and looked up, her mouth already half open with an apology for Professor Myers and reassurance that she was leaving.
But the look on her face when she saw who, or rather what had entered the greenhouse was one of complete disbelief. Swallowing hard, her things forgotten, she moved slowly until her back was against the wall and tried to hide somewhat amongst the leaves of a large bush.
The Inferius' rampage grew ever closer to her spot, and Felicity pulled her wand from her pocket with a shaking hand. "In... Incendio," she tried to shout, but her voice came out in a hushed whisper as tears pricked at her eyes. Trying to take deep breaths to calm herself and simultaneously blinking back her tears, she raised her wand again, her voice this time a shout.
"Incendio tria." With a slash of her wand aimed at the Inferi closest to her, Felicity offered a silent prayer that the spell worked, before screaming at the top of her lungs. She could only hope that someone was out on the grounds, that they were close enough to hear her, because there was no way she was defeating them alone.

Flynn had been making his way to the pathways, running as fast as he could to catch-up with Skylar, but he had immediately halted when he heard that feminine scream coming from............ where was it coming from? His brown eyes scanned through the darkness of the grounds, following the sound, until they landed on the greenhouses. His heart pounded against his chest; all he could think about was his sister. What if that was her? He didn't even give it a second thought before he made his way to the greenhouses, his feet pressing hard against the ground as he ran.
He stopped outside the door, having to take a moment to gain some courage to quietly (or as quietly as he could) open the door. He peeked his head inside, and his attention went to the Inferi then to...... "Felicity," he whispered under his breath with horror in his eyes. Was he going to risk his life for her? It was beginning to look like it as he he gripped his wand tightly and slipped his way into the greenhouse, watching his step so he couldn't trip on any of the broken terra cotta.
Before he could get over to her though, he felt something wrap itself around his ankles....
He looked down at the last bit of Devil's Snare that had not been snapped by the Inferi. He was internally panicking as he tried to yank his ankle away, only causing the plant to grip hard. Quickly, he looked back up at his ex-girlfriend friend and raised his wand, doing the only thing he was capable of doing in this moment. "Ignisio Funem." He sent a flaming rope in the direction of the Inferi that was closest to her.

"Incendio tria." As soon as she'd screamed, Felicity resumed casting, pointing her wand at every Inferi she could see, not pausing to see if any of her spells had hit. "Ignisio Funem." Her voice was slightly more hoarse, but her casting was stronger as her eyes hardened and her hand steadied. There was no way she was dying here, like this. It wasn't going to happen.
Hearing the door open again, Felicity's eyes flew to it, her wand raised and ready to send fire to any entering Inferi. When she saw who it was, her heart leapt into her mouth and she shook her head - when she'd screamed, she'd hoped for a teacher, not a friend.
"Ignisio Funem!" she cried, again, aiming her wand at another creature before turning her gaze back to Flynn. "LIGHT, FLYNN. LIGHT!" she called out when she saw what had snaked around his ankle, fear in her eyes as she willed him to realise.

The Inferi continued to wage war against the greenhouse plants when they sensed a presence. Blank, cloudy eyes turned to the human girl. The creatures converged on her, their rotting hands reaching out. The girl's spell hit one of them; flames shot up the Inferius's outstretched arm. It writhed in agony as the fire spread to its body, stumbling backwards. In its frantic flailing, it tripped over an overturned table, setting that on fire along with it.
The boy human's fire rope grazed the side of one creature’s face. It ran around frantically, trying to put itself out, but more Inferi were coming. And now they were angry! Several Inferi pounced on the boy while he was distracted by the Devil's Snare. Their cold, clammy decayed arms wrapped around his neck, fully prepared to snap it in half.
The remaining creatures scattered as the girl aimed another spell, but don't mistake their movement for defeat, humans! They were simply looking for a better angle of attack. They silently slunk up to the girl from behind. Rotting hands grabbed her around her waist and arms, trying to pull her down. The humans were no match for them!

Flynn's heart was pounding against his chest as the devil's snare tightened around his struggling ankle. He was not afraid of death, but he was not going to die here. He was not going to die in this damn greenhouse by these ugly corpses, but he also didn't know what he was going to do. He was in too much of a panic to make himself remember how to deal with devil's snare; that was, until he heard Felicity's voice.
LIGHT???? Just like that, the lightbulb went off in his head.
He had managed to create a few bluebell flames that landed on the devil's snare just before he was pounced on by the Inferi. Thankfully, the devil's snare had unattached itself from his ankle before he took a plow to the ground because, sure enough, he would of broken his ankle otherwise.
He kept a firm grip on his wand as he now struggled against the decayed arms that were wrapped around his neck. He did mention that he wasn't planning on dying today, right? He had someone waiting for him outside of this bloody school, and he was going to live to see him again. He didn't have much time to think about how he was going to prevent his neck from being snapped, so he did the one thing that came to thought: he kicked the corpses that were on him. He kangaroo-kicked them hard, but he wasn't sure exactly how effective this was going to be....
He noticed the overturned burning table, and he knew he had one chance at this.
With a flick of his wand and a quick, silent mutter of the incantation 'accio table', the table, that was now up in flames, came flying towards him and the several Inferi that had tackled him down. He was hoping, really hoping, that the flaming piece of wood would get all the Inferi off him. He knew there was a chance he would get burned, but right now, that was a chance he was willing to take since fire was the only thing that seemed to be effective against them.

Vivian had seen Flynn run off here somewhere. And she had been looking forward to dragging him out of the common room had he not been outside already. But, naturally, she followed him and Skylar to wherever they were heading. Got to stick close to your friends, and maybe she'd try finding her other dorm mates later to see if they were okay. Her Slytherins, too... and her sister. Surely Eloise was enjoying all this somewhere, like it was some creepy apocalypse film they had watched over the summer.
Until Coleslaw made a detour to the greenhouses and Vivian was especially confused about it The crashing sound did not go unnoticed either, which obviously meant that something else was inside that place. And the greenhouses were one of her go-to places through the years! The Head Girl was not having that.
Vivian almost froze in place when she saw Liss inside.. and Flynn, who looked like he was about to choke in there. This... was terrible. And infuriating. Literally nobody touches her friends. Her hand itching, the blond took a step forward into the greenhouse towards her co-prefect and gave one hard punch on the closest Inferius' skull before quickly casting an "Incendio!" at it.
Her uncertainty on how well that worked for her made her act on impulse, and so she sent a Ventus Tria at the inferius she had set on fire. Fire needed air to survive, didn't it? And hopefully it was strong enough to push the undead back, and give her and her friends time to run out of the greenhouse. "You guys okay?"
...Vivian made a mental note to apologise to Professor Paul once he sees his plants all burnt later on. The herbology lover in her was distraught.

Laurel had eaten an early dinner in the Great Hall in the joyful company of her colleagues before she had gone out on the grounds for a night stroll/patrol in the cool night air. Her inner Eye had been tingling and showing her irritating glimpses of things she just knew was going to happen all day. She first spotted Flynn Kowalski and then Vivian Fairfield as they dissapeared off towards the greenhouses. It took a few moment’s and Laurel was entertaining the thought of going over and asking Haraldur for accompanying when she heard the crashing and other sounds that emanated out of the greenhouses. Something was clearly up!
Quickening her steps the blond professor, pulled her wand out as she ran the last steps to the greenhouse doors. Stepping over the threshold Laurel almost collided with Vivian as she surveyed the scene and quickly casted a few spells in quick succession at the inferi’s after shooting Vivian a glance. "Incendio! Ingnisio Fumen! Ventus Tria!" The greenhouse was in utter and complete shambles but Laurel’s primary focus was on her snakes in peril. ”Flynn? Felicity? Are you guy’s all right?"
The Inferi finally had the boy human! The exposed bones of fingers entwined in his hair and began to pull his head slowly backward. The creature savored the moment, waiting to hear the crackle of bones snapping, when... A flying burning object came hurtling toward them. Using all their strength and speed, they dragged the boy out of its path. Broken glass rained down around them as the table smashed through the wall, setting fire to the grass outside.
Before the Inferi had the chance to finish snapping the boy's neck, another girl (Vivian) appeared out of nowhere and punched one of them in the skull. The punch had no effect on the creature whatsoever, succeeding only in making it blink in confusion. Where did this one come from? While the punch did no damage, her spells did. It caught the Inferius right in the eye. It let go of the boy, it's rotting hands covering its face in a desperate attempt to put out the fire. The flames spread to the rest of its body as the girl's second spell hit; it staggered backward to its demise, tripping over the table and adding to the inferno outside.
The remaining Inferi turned their attention back to the boy and girl (Felicity). Time to finish these two off! Then an adult human appeared and started sending spells at them. A couple of unfortunate creatures were caught in the crossfire and set ablaze, but there were plenty more where they came from! Every spell, every fallen comrade made the Inferi angrier!
They dropped the boy and girl (Felicity) to the ground. They'd deal with them later! With a sickening CRACK, the Inferi's heads turned, their cloudy white eyes landing on the two unwelcome new visitors. They converged on the pair, their sharp decayed teeth gnashing. They would pay for their intrusion...
Yay, Hamlet! • Cathopper • Disney Fanatic • I was normal once...
Flynn tried his best to pull himself away from the Inferi, but they had such a good grip on both his neck and hair. He thought for a hot moment that maybe he should cast a fire spell, but he knew as soon as it would hit one of them, another one would take him out. Either way, it was not looking good for him, and know what? Those were tears swelling in his brown eyes as his head was slowly pulled backwards. He was silently hoping that the table would take them all out in one go; however, as soon as he was being pulled away, he knew they had sensed it coming....
..... and in that very moment, he truly believed he was breathing his last few breaths.....
It didn't stop him from fighting against them though, and in the process of struggling against them while deciding the risks of hitting them with fire when he was so close to them and while trying not to get hit by the flying flaming table, he dropped his wand. He had attempted to reach for it, but he was dragged away too quickly. He was defenseless now, and nothing seemed to be happening in his favor, which was proven when he felt warmth on his leg. He knew, without looking, that his pajama bottoms were on fire. He didn't know if the table had gotten him, or if one of the spells that Vance and Vivian (thank MERLIN they were there!) had sent at the Inferi hit him. Regardless, his bottoms were on fire, and he couldn't do anything about it since he was still in the Inferi's grasp.
He felt relief when he was dropped, and he quickly took his NASA shirt off and used it to put out the fire that was blazing up his pajama bottoms now, wincing as he did so. He then pushed himself under a nearby table that was not ablaze, wincing at every movement he made, knowing that the skin on his leg was burned. Just how burned was it? He wasn't ready to find out, but he figured badly with how much pain he was feeling.
"Does it LOOK LIKE I'M OKAY?!?" He almost got his neck snapped, his leg was burnt.... no, he was not okay. He was also unaware of some of the bleeding wounds on him that had been caused by the falling glass because, as of right now, the only pain he felt was the pain piercing throughout his leg.
He wanted out of here, and he wanted out of here in one piece.

Reason: hihiii, rearranging some things
"FLYNN!" The scream practically ripped itself from Felicity’s throat as she watched dead hands grab his neck, and she shot another Ignisio Fumen at the creature that was holding it. If Flynn… If he… If anything happened to him, she wasn’t sure she’d ever be able to forgive herself, and once more tears pricked her eyes as she struggled to hold it together. Her wand raised, and another spell on the tip of her tongue, she was taken by surprise when the Inferi grabbed her, their grip on her arm dragging it down and making it impossible to direct a spell. The cold, dead hands made her stomach heave as she tried to fight them off physically, drawing her elbows back and kicking out at the ones behind her.
The tears in her eyes made it difficult to see, but she recognised Vivian’s voice, and then Professor Vance’s, but before she had time to react to their presence she was being dropped, hard, onto the ground. Luckily she managed to keep a firm grip on her wand, but she landed heavily on her right arm, and with a sickening crunch that sent another wave of nausea through her stomach Felicity realised it had broken.
There wasn’t time to deal with that, though, and she forced the pain to the back of her mind, raising her good arm and pointing her wand at the the retreating backs of the Inferi that were now converging on her dorm mate and Head of House. "INCENDIO," she tried, her voice hoarse but strong as she aimed at the creatures. "Ignisio Fumen! Ventus Tria!"
And to answer the new arrivals earlier question? She was with Flynn - of course they were bloody not okay.

Oh. Hi, Professor Vance. In her sense of urgency, Vivian had not even noticed that her own Head of House had followed her to the greenhouse. But really, it was no bother at all. They could seriously use all the manpower in this place, and it was kind of nice to know that there was an adult around. Sure, she was seventeen... but she still didn't at all feel like a proper adult person.
Except that meant that there were more possible people to attack for these undead. For a moment she was relieved that they had let go of Flynn and Liss, but then Vivian's eyes widened as the Inferi had decided she was good meat. She had literally bruised her knuckles just to punch one of them. What else did they want?! Her fear was overwhelmed by a tad bit of annoyance. Could she just... enjoy a nice meal at the Great Hall after this?
”Coleslaw, get out of there!” The Head Girl yelled. And yes, she definitely saw how Liss landed on her arm. That looked horrible and, as a Quidditch player, she'd had her fair share of broken limbs. She'd had a broken nose just this term. Those weren't unusual, but Vivian just really wanted to get her friends out of here. "Ignisio Funem!" She moved her wand like a whip, and aimed at hitting as much inferi as she can with one go.
...But at least the Inferi seemed distracted enough from pursuing her friends. Now, though, would be a good time for Liss and Flynn to crawl away from the place. Vivian gave them both a look before casting Lustro Circulus with another whip-like movement of her wand, and another Ventus Tria for good measure.
There was no way she was dying before she could even graduate from this place.

"Sweet Circe!" Professor Vance blurted out in exasperation, eyes widening not with fear but with anger as she saw how the angry inferi hoard started to zero in on her and Vivian instead of Flynn and Felicity. Shooting a glance over to the injured pair, in acute peril Flynn and Felicty she shouted "Crawl out of the way now Flynn and Felicity! Quickly now, help each other, get to us by the door. Vivian and I will distract the inferies." Poor things. They were both bloody and Laurel thought she had heard a bone break but she wasn't sure. Ascertaining the injuries that they had sustained was something she do when she had gotten them all out of harm's way to safety.
Turning to Vivian beside her Laurel ordered and motioned "Come on Vivian, let's light a fire cascade under these inferi's feet so Felicity and Flynn can escape. Ready? Shoot!" And with that Professor Vance turned and locked her eyes on the inferi hoard as she cast in quick succession. assuming that the girl beside her did the same."Incendio Tria! Ingnisio Fumen! Ventus Tria! Ingisio Fumen!"
The Inferi lumbered closer to the adult human and the girl, their rotting hands reaching out to grab them. One got close enough to grip the girl's (Vivian) sleeve before her fire whip grazed its arm. It recoiled in agony, collapsing to the ground as the flames overtook its body. The throng of corpses parted to avoid being burned by the still smoldering remains of their fallen comrade but continued their approach. Exposed bony fingers wrapped themselves around the girl's wand arm. The creatures sharp clawlike nails dug into her flesh as it bent her arm back, waiting to hear the sewer sound of breaking bone.
Several.others surrounded the adult. The ones in front of her were caught off guard by her spells. They frantically stomped up and down as their feet caught fire in a futile attempt to put out the flames before they engulfed their skeletal bodies. Some of the embers ignited the discarded plant parts littering the ground; soon a good section if the floor was ablaze. While this was happening, more Inferi took advantage of the distraction and grabbed the woman from behind, pulling her down.
The creatures had almost forgotten about the other girl and the boy until all the shouting reminded them. Now where had thise two gotten to? They dodged the fallen girl's (Felicity) spells, violently kicking her out of the way as they searched for the boy. In their frustration, the Inferi overturned one of the few tables that remained upright, then another, and... there he was! There was a crackling sound as a corpses head turned to him, its cloudy, lifeless eyes surveying the human. They had him now...
Yay, Hamlet! • Cathopper • Disney Fanatic • I was normal once...
The pain Flynn was feeling in his leg was beginning to radiate throughout his body, making him feel sick. Sure enough, he was beginning to feel all the cuts and bruises on his skin now. He had briefly closed his eyes and took in a few deep breaths. Everything hurt. He quickly flickered his eyes open when he heard Mayfield and Professor Vance instructing them to get out, but instead of turning his attention to them, he turned it to Felicity then to where his wand had been dropped. He was not leaving without her or his wand.
He held on to his shirt tightly as he began to move out from the under the table, but he suddenly stopped at the sound of tables being overturned. The sound only growing louder.... and louder.... and then there they were, staring right at him with their cloud, lifeless eyes. Uhhhh, bye. He didn't give them the chance to touch him again as he quickly got to his feet, and the expression he had on his face showed just how much pain he was in as soon as he put weight on his burnt leg. Merlin.... He knew he had to push through it; he had to keep going.
He quickly moved to the last remaining table in the greenhouse, and he pushed himself to climb it, biting down on his lip as his leg radiated more pain throughout his lower body. He stood up on the wooden table and looked down at the corpses beneath him. Just as he felt lost as to what to do, his attention was drawn to the long tentacles of a Flitterbloom that was swaying nearby. Leg, please don't give out on me just yet, he thought to himself as he backed up a little and did a running jump off the table, leaving his shirt behind. He caught on to the swaying tentacle, and he dropped down after it moved away from the corpses.
He made a loud grunting noise when he hit the ground, and his whole body gave out on him. He fell to his knees and hands, and the shattered glass on the floor pierced through the skin. He had landed near his wand, which had been the plan, and he reached for it with one of his injured hands, grasping it as tight as he could. "Incendio Tria!" he exclaimed as he pointed his wand to the corpses that had come after him.

Felicity heard exactly what Professor Vance and Vivian were saying, and she attempted to scramble back to her feet when she saw the Inferi grab onto Vivians arm. She could almost sense what was going to happen, maybe because of her own injury, but knew it would be ten times worse considering that was Vivi’s wand arm. "Ignisio Fumen!" she cried, waving her wand in a whip movement and aiming it at the creature that had hold of her friend. With a few more whip movements, she cast the spell repeatedly, aiming at the other creatures surrounding the head girl and forcing herself to remain strong and not wince at the pain that was shooting through her other arm.
She wanted to do what Professor Vance instructed, wanted to be out of that greenhouse more than anything, but as she looked towards Flynn to try and help him she realised she wasn’t likely going anywhere right then. As she was kicked to the side, crashing into an upended table and sending more plants and equipment flying around the room, Felicity let out a welp of pain and surprise.
But she knew the pain she was feeling couldn’t be anything compared to Flynn’s, and yet he’d still managed that impressive feat of practical acrobatics. Swallowing her tears, biting her lip until it started bleeding, she clambered gingerly to her feet again, raising her wand at the retreating backs of the Inferi. The backs of the creatures that were intent on hurting her friends, and her head of house. "INCENDIO TRIA," she yelled, her wand arm steady as the other hung limply by her side. "IGNISIO FUMEN! VENTUS TRIA. IGNISIO FUMEN."
If she got out of there, she was going to be in their debt.

The funny thing about injuries? How much more aware of them you become when you have a break from fighting for your life. Such was the case for Ronan when he was running towards the castle, so much so that when he caught sight of the glowing of flames, he almost continued on his way. But the Gryffindor/future Auror in him would not let him. So, taking a few deep breaths, he took off in the direction of the flames, Blast-Ended Skrewt still in hand.
Once he reached the greenhouses, he realized that it was probably a good thing he'd followed his Gryffindor instincts. Two people against a whole horde of Inferi? Eeek. He aimed the Skrewt's behind first at the Inferius holding onto Vivian as it let forth a jet of flame, then repeating the process at the group surrounding Professor Vance.
A quick peek into the greenhouse told him that his initial assessment had been wrong. There were two more people, Felicity and someone else whom he couldn't really tell who was thanks to the Inferi standing in front of them. Ronan aimed again and let the Skrewt do its thing in those Inferi's direction too. "And everyone thought these things were pretty much useless," he commented, sucking some air through his teeth as his back reminded him it was still burnt.

Days of Potter 2023:___________________________ Which Bertie Botts Flavour Are You?
Laurel thought she was ready for the Inferi focusing all their attention on her and Vivian but when they did a chill of terror went down her spine. She ignored it obviously, but these creature corpses with their rotting flash and sharp clawlike nails were pretty creepy, she had to admit in the confines of her brain.
When the creatures attacked Vivian’s wand arm with their bony fingers digging into her flesh. Hot anger flared up and Laurel turned immediatly to direct her wand at the bony fingers with the every intention of breaking Vivian’s arm. "DIFFINDO DUO! INGNISIO FUNEM! INCENCDIO TRIA!" Take that you ruddy corpses Laurel thought as the spell’s went flying off her wand tip.
With her focus on Vivian she didn’t see the attacking corpses coming from behind before it was too late. With a high yelp the divination professor felt herself being dragged down, off her feet. Still with her wand in hand she casted "INCENDIO TRIA! IGNISIO FUNEM!" Hoping it’d do some damange. How Flynn and Felicity were faring she didn’t know since her vision was obscured by corpses. And was that Ronan Carter’s voice or was she imagining it?
The Inferi's gaunt, skeletal facial features twisted into a distorted version of a smile at the sight of the boy under the overturned table. Several rotting hands reached, but before they could grab him, the boy was on his feet and moving. The creatures gave chase. The human could run, but he couldn't hide! One of them climbed the table after him, but just when it got close enough to grab the boy's leg he jumped onto the tentacled thing. The inferi gnashed their sharp, decaying teeth in frustration. One creature smashed the table in a fit of rage while several others ripped apart the plant's tentacles. There would be mo more escape for the humans that way!
With the crackling sound of bones grinding against each other, the inferi's heads turned in the the direction of the grunt. There was that boy again, this time on his hands and knees and powerless to stop them. He wasn't getting away again! The creatures swarmed the boy before he had the chance to get up again, grabbing every part of him they could get their clammy hands on. One of them was set ablaze as it wandered into the path of the boy's fire spell, and it stumbled, landing right on top of him.
Elsewhere, the Inferi surrounding one girl (Vivian) continued clawing at her. The one grabbing her wand arm tightened its grip, slowly bending it farther and farther back. Suddenly, flames from one of the other girl's (Felicity) spells engulfed the creature's lower arm. In a desperate attempt to save itself before the fire spread to it's body, it ripped the arm off and flung it aside. It hit the ground with a dull thud, catching more of the plant parts on fire with it. The one-armed Inferius turned, its white cloudy gaze falling upon the other girl as it ran at her.
The adult human was finally on the ground! Her barrage of spells set fire to a couple of the Inferi surrounding her, but there were still plenty of them to keep her pinned. Some of the creatures grabbed onto her wand arm, trying to stop her form firing again, while others piled on top of her chest. A foot with nothing but bones remaining came down on her head, but before it could stomp down on her skull...
It was set aflame by a blast from... whatever animal that other boy (Ronan) was holding. A few of the Inferi broke away from the others and rounded on this new intruder. Two creatures grabbed onto his hands and pressed down with all their might. Maybe they could kill the fire animal he held and crush his hands at the same time!
