| | |  Fourth-Floor Corridor
 The fourth floor is the quietest floor in all of Hogwarts. Those who have been here long enough and know the layout know this as an obvious fact because the primary features of this floor are the Library and Study Hall. To soften your steps as you make your way around, a carpet drapes the entire floor of the corridor. Remember to keep your voice at a whisper because there's important studying going on in this part of the castle!
You will find large green vases placed in the corners of the corridor as well as a number of portraits. There really isn't anything exciting about the vases, though Peeves is known to pick them up and throw them at unsuspecting passersby -- it is strongly advised that you always stay alert. As for the portraits, you will likely notice right away that most of them are of peaceful landscapes. Nevertheless, you will eventually come across Brutus Scrimgeour (author of The Beaters' Bible), Hengist of Woodcraft (founder of Hogsmeade), and Edward Rabnott (a wizard with three different personalities).

Nimma liked the quiet hallways, but she was glad that the studentsies were back from holidays! She preferred hearing all of the voices and laughter, although sometimes the silence was nice too. Today, Nimma was smiling while she worked, partly because of the festive spirits still lingering through the halls, but also maybe a little bit because Algamus seemed to be in a very great mood. Was it strange? Perhaps, yes, and she would be keeping an eye out for anything else suspicious, but for now it was nice to see him getting along with everyone!

Clean clean clean! Algamus WAS in a fabulous mood and he had no idea why, but the castle looked to be shining!! The old elf found himself whistling, perhaps still in the festival spirit, as he danced along the corridors with his broom in hand.
"Nimma! You're looking wonderful! Or ... the corridor is! Why don't you go take a break?" Oh and he would probably join her because of how amazing he was feeling. Strange, wasn't it?
"Meet you in five? Lets bake a cake!"

"Meet you in five? Lets bake a cake!" Toddles was in a GREEEAAATTTTTT mood! Christmas break had been boring without the studentsies but he'd gotten all the entertainment he needed from this nice new Alagamus. Indeed, Toddles liked the new Algamus very much and was very proud of his little scheme.
With the head elf no longer hounding everyone, the teenager was free to do as he pleased and boy was he living it up!
Toddles sang a happy little song as he skipped down the corridor. He hadn't dusted a surface in over a WEEK. Toddles didn't cook either. Toddles didn't do laundry. Toddles was a free elf! "Oooohhhh! Toddles wants cakes too Algamus!" He chirped, hurrying up to the pair of elfsies. "Algamus right, Nimma. Castle clean, come have fun and cake with Toddles and Algamus. Cake tastes nice." Don't tell him he would have to steal more potion for her too.

"Take... a b... a break?" Nimma could barely wrap her head around what he had said. No she didn't work 24 hours a day, but Algamus was usually the most understanding of her want to keep everything as clean as possible! Happy Algamus then mentioned making a cake. "A cake?" she asked of him, becoming more suspicious now that Toddles had rounded the corner. Usually Toddles seemed to try to avoid Algamus.
Yet...
Making cakesies would be very fun...
"If someone has asked for a cakesie, Nimma would gladly help of course," she offered. Because if a studentsie or Master wanted a cakesie, Nimma would never say no! | |
