A central floor to the school, the third-floor corridor is a relatively easy to navigate and contains your basic necessities. On this level of the school, the Charms classroom and the Hospital Wing can be found. Additionally, you will find the pristine Armour Gallery, the Trophy Room, and a passageway to the more popular places on the grounds. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few peculiarities to be found in this part of the castle.
Beyond coming across portraits of Basil Fronsac, Damara Dodderidge, and Merwyn the Malicious, you will find that there are many rooms to explore. The Ghoul Studies classroom resides on this floor, as well as a room where spare furniture is stored (perfect for making indoor forts!) and another containing maps of Great Britain and Ireland. Though perhaps the room you find most curious is a storeroom containing a large golden harp that plays on its own accord and a trapdoor -- it can't be said for certain where that leads, for it looks like a rather long drop. Probably not the best idea to find out.

Maddie Kemp strutted her stuff (just kidding, she's not that vain) down the third floor corridor. So she wasn't strutting her stuff, but there was a sense of pride in her steps as she proceeded forward. What was she doing, you might ask? Because, you are asking, aren't you? AREN'T YOU?
Why...she was promoting DERF AS PREFECT, DUHHHHHH.
Who would have ever guessed the cutest boy in Hufflepuff would have received a BADGE a whole year in advance? Maddie loved it when Derf talked creatures to her. There was just SOMETHING about the way he said bowtruckles that made her smile. So anyway, back to her task at hand. Maddie wanted to make sure THE WHOLE SCHOOL knew just how awesome their new prefect was.
The only thing was, Maddie did NOT want to get caught in the act. That would SUPER EMBARRASSING for a BOY to catch her hanging up POSTERS about him. That's right. P-O-S-T-E-R-S.
DERF, DERF!
HE'S THE MAN!
IF ANYBODY CAN PREFECT A WHOLE YEAR EARLY...
HE SURELY CAN!
That's what the posters said.
All forty of them.
Maddie proceeded to hang up one or two of them before heading further down the corridor.

Diandra was just wandering around the castle by herself. Being a new student made her have to be familiar with every single corner of this place. Plus, maybe she would make a handy map just herself because there's nobody had one. How on earth a huge place like this doesn't provide a map or any kind of directory.
Ending up in third floor corridor, the new badger mumbled on herself try to remember what's exactly in this floor. Charms classroom, hospital wing... What else? Maybe that's all or she just needed to keep wandering until find something... new. Diandra saw someone familiar (and pretty sure that this girl was in her house just... she didn't remember her name.) Hanging a poster about ... Huh? Eyebrow raising, she couldn't help but notice what was written there. Oh boy... it seemed like many girls had crush on Derf, but at least this one showed it in a more appropriate way unlike a certain Slytherin girl, ahem.

...and up went the seventh poster.
Maddie had been continuing on her merry little way, intent on peppering the corridor with Derf posters, when she heard the sound of footsteps behind her. WAIT. She wasn't supposed to be seen! This was her super secret mission!
Posters in hand, Maddie whirled around. There stood an older Hufflepuff girl, and OF COURSE she was eyeing the posters Maddie had hung up. Wide-eyed with a mixture of embarrassment and horror, Maddie quickly STUFFED the remaining stash of posters into the eyeball portion of a suit of armor.
Sorry about that, Sir Whatever-Your-Name-Is.
"Oh, uhh...what'cha looking at there?" she asked, strolling up to the poster in a way too obvious manner.

Derf had sorta gotten the hang of patrols by now, though it still felt WEIRD doing those and he was sorta too much of a softie to reeeeeally report anything he saw. Although mostly it had been super small things and, well, Derf wasn't keen on nitpicking behaviors when he was known to be more than a little mischievous himself, you know?
But as he turned the corner down the next corridor something caught his eye.
Posters, a few of them in a row along the corridor wall. Hogwartians sure liked making posters, himself included, so he didn't think much of it other than maaaaaybe if he found the person hanging them he ought to remind them that the student bulletin board was a better place to hang things and properly the preferred method - although he didn't always follow that, er, guideline -
when he took a closer look to see what exactly was on them. Maybe it was something neat he could take part i--------
Eyes widening to mooncalf level again - there sure was a WHOLE lot of that going on this term already - Derf swiftly stepped closer to the poster so he could tear it from the wall in disbelief. Maybe he was dreaming, you know? So...maybe if he reached out to touch it it would just disappear? Only it didn't and his fists were now crumpling the edges of the paper as he reread the poem, his mouth agape enough that it was a wonder a few bats hadn't flown out.
And it wasn't just ONE poster. There were MORE. AND they were acting like breadcrumbs down the corridor which he was just that befuddled to follow without question. Though he did not need to go FAR before he rain into Maddie and Diandra looking at another of the posters. "Uuuuuuuuuuuuh..." was really all he could muster at the moment, the poster he had taken down still clutched in his hand. Surveying the seen naturally brought his attention to the balled up WAD of paper shoved unceremoniously into the unsuspecting suit.

She couldn't help but smiled, or grinned to be exact. The new badger thought this was so cute that Derf had so many admirers. Even though she had just moved here and didn't know much about the Hufflepuff prefect but she could see why so many people liked him. He's very nice, helpful, probably resembled how a true Hufflepuff should be... Ahem, did she just think aboit what's Derf's good quality? Maybe.
She turned into Maddie as she asked what she was doing. "Me? Oh, nothing. I was just passing by and...." Diandra said to the younger puff and coincidentally, the man of the hour came by. Well, this should be amusing. "Hello, Derf." She smiled and greeted him as casual as she could be, tried not to giggle because that could embarrass him.
