The serpent news aka Serpentum Nuntium is a student run publication, written and distributed to Slytherin students only. The Serpent News will be published on a regular basis and contains any and all information pertaining to the going-on's in the school. Current news on Quidditch tryouts/practices/results, classes and homework assignments as well as any other school events will be explained here for every snakes easy convenience.
The Serpent news will offer a unique reading experience and it is student centered, so if you're a good ambitious snake, you might just get a honourable mention in here sometime or even get spotlighted.
By keeping you up to date with all things snake noteworthy, it offers us the chance to gain the most house points in the term and win the house cup two terms in a row! Look, learn, strive and succeed!
However, publishing for the Serpent News is restricted to the Slytherin Prefects, Qudditch Captain and Approved editors only. The approved editors will be chosen within the first week of term so if you want to help out with this PM Nordic Witch. If you wish to submit something for the Serpent News , then contact one of the editors or your Head of House. Your approved editors are:

Welcome to Slytherin! A very hissing and enthusiatic welcome to our newly sorted Slytherins! We hope you are having fun already! Congratulations to having the honour of belonging to the best and most ambitious and cunning house of silver and green! And to our returning students a hissing welcome back!
You know the rules, don't get lost if you do find a prefect to lead you right and set a good example for the school. Remember you represent Slytherin, so do what any snake would do! In other words get up to as much cunning mischief as you want, just don't get caught while doing it.
Most important rule of snake thumb is to have FUN! Try to study some in between since it'd be wonderful to continue the winning streak from last term with your students help of course!
During your time at Hogwarts, the Slytherin dungeons will be your home away from home. Here you can relax in the Slytherin Common Room with your friends, play a game of chess or take a nap on the sofa between classes, but don't be late! It is also here that you can study and get tips and advice from your peers and senior students. Come night time the Girl's and Boy's dorms will be your peaceful havens. Remember to respect the house rules, so no sneaking into opposing gender dorms. Triumphs will earn you points. Rule breaking will loose you points. Dont forget to introduce yourself to your peers. Remember to pay our new snake house pet a visit now and then and if you need a quiet place to think the underwater windows is a mesmerizing place to sit on a divan and pence.

So far, so good, Slytherins! There are currently three classes in session, and one coming in this week, so don't forget to get involved in those lessons and don't miss out the fun! This year's play, brought to you by the Hogwarts Drama Club, is a musical on the Wizard of Oz, and auditions are still ongoing until January 19th. Our welcome party is also still open to all members of the house. On top of that, it's a Hogsmeade Weekend, and everyone (yes, everyone regardless of your character's year!) can pay a visit to the village for Halloween!
Additionally, don't forget to show our house pet some love! Our lady gopher snake could use some affection and visitors! Just don't do anything that would anger her or Professor Vance. Hiss hiss!

IC: October 2094 Serpentem Nuntium Announcement: Hogsmeade is still open for school students and staff! It will be closing soon (OOC: January 24), so be sure to get all the candy and prankster supplies before you can't anymore. Don't worry, I won't tell on you if I see you bought some items from Zonko's. I may even join in on the fun.
I also heard about a party going on in the Room of Requirement for a certain Gryffindor? I highly suggest discourage you from crashing it... no really, please go crash it.

Glad to see us still on the top of the house cup standings, everyone! Vivian says we should keep it that way. There's still a few more (in-character) months to keep this up but nevertheless, everyone's doing a good job in this regard! Perhaps there are some Extra-Curriculars that you guys fancy? These aren't roleplayed, but can be used for IC reference if you want to start some shenanigans or roleplays with your character's fellow clubmates. The results for the second game are here, which proved quite more positive note than the first game. The results ARE indeed randomized, but it's fun to play out the reactions.
The next game will be Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin & Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw in IC May/OOC around March 28-29.

IC: April 2095 Serpentem Nuntium Announcement: The weekend trip to Dufftown is upon us. As long as you got your permission slip signed by your guardian(s) or forged by a friend, you are allowed to visit for the weekend. Be mindful that there are muggles around, so please, don't do anything stupid. If you get caught by the muggles, you are on your own, snakes (a nice ooc note: please do not play the muggles <3 some super duper awesome people got that covered for you all)
