| | Seating Area Outside Professor Hirsch's Office Just outside of the office sits a small area just for the people who want to see the Defence Professor. This seating area contains hues that match the ones found in the office itself. Comfortable orange and teal sofas are dotted around a table that contain a few magazines about the latest defensive theories and spells.
However, something that catches your eye as you enter the area is the large mural that's been constructed there. The mural depicts a mountainous area with green hills and a grey castle. But the main focus of the mural sits with the large gold and red dragon that's rearing its head and firing a bought of fire towards a lone figure much smaller than the creature itself. The figure is one of a brave knight who blocks the fire and is ready to tackle the dragon itself. A pale yellow fairy can be seen aiding the knight by poking the dragon or tugging on its ear or otherwise distracting it. The animated scene, while looking like something out of an adventure book, is one that always made the Defence Professor smile everytime he looked at it.
Knock, take a seat and wait for Professor Hirsch to call you in. Please make sure to post here first having your charrie knocking and wait for me to get back to you. I'll get to you as soon as I can. ^^
The mural was done here by Hadley Denaker (Callie)! Thank youuuu! <3 |

| Arts TRANSPONSTER! AND. He was here. Straight away. Right after the lesson. His robes were even still a tiny bit damp because ain't nobody got time for drying them out properly when the DEFENCE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS PROFESSOR INVITED YOU OVER TO TALK ABOUT BEING AN AUROR.
No time for that, nope. None whatsoever.
Matt was there and he didn't knock the door because the professor was probably coming right after him from the classroom.
Yeah. He had been THAT quick. Sue him. |

| Stuck inside with Sirius | *Splish-Splash* | bamBAM | ☁ Spooktacular ☁ There was a scowl set deeply onto Noble's face as he made a detour from the Hospital Wing to hammer loudly on Hirsch's door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
He and the Ravenclaw Head of House needed words. For numerous reasons, but the main one currently being the scalded skin across his arm and shoulder. Needless to say, he was NOT a happy bunny at its cause. Nor did he understand how the Defence professor could have possibly condoned it where any poor firstie could have easily got hurt much worse than he had.
Ignatius paced as he waited, the blistered skin feeling taut and sore despite the ample burn paste smothered upon it. He'd done a decent job of repairing his singed robes after the Healer had set to work, but the bandages she'd wrapped around for protection still peeped through here and there, the pale beige in contrast to the navy of his sleeve.

Yeah. He had been THAT quick. Sue him. It took a short while to dry the snowy landscape that had been one of his Defence classrooms which was why he was back at his office a little later than he would've normally been. Besides, it wasn't as if he had someone waiting to see-
...... Oh?
Hirsch paused, eyebrows furrowed at the sight of the seventh year Gryffindor before he glanced down at his watch. He hadn't been that long, had he? Or was Mr Meriwether just good at being on time? Come to think about it, the man hadn't seen the boy late to his lesson before as far as he could remember.
Anyways. "Hey, Mr Meriwether," he said, taking out his wand and moving over to the door to his office, "You haven't been waiting too long, have you?" The keyhole was tapped twice and he opened the office door for the seventh year. OOC: Juuuuu! Sorry to keep you waiting! You're welcome to post in the office thread now ^^ Quote:

What in the name of?!
Hirsch blinked, green eyes moving from the homework he was marking and landing on the door. He wasn't upset about the interruption and he wasn't surprised either but he was slightly taken aback by the force of the knocking. It wasn't so much as a polite knock to ask questions or advice from a professor but more of a loud hammering that suggested that the person on the other side was very angry.
Naturally, the man didn't know how to feel right now.
He placed the quill in his hand down and took a moment to adjust his glasses before answering, "Come in!" OOC: Beeeeeth! Sorry to keep you waiting! Go ahead and post in the office thread ^^

| Stephanoodle || Adorable Nerd Zarina was planning on going to see Professor Hirsch for a while. She just never had the guts to admit her imperfection that her spell casting could use some work. She was great on the Quidditch field and could score easily but when it came to learning new spells and accuracy it needed some work. Lost in her thoughts her feet brought her right up to his office. She found his door and took a deep breath and muttered, "Come on Carraro you can do this...Dont be a whimp." She lift her hand and made it into a fist and went, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK....
She hoped he heard it. Now time to wait and see.

KNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCK. "PROFESSOR HIRSCH." It was one of those days where there was too much going on in his head and therefore, he needed to go for a jog. The harsh cold had caused his skin to turn pink and his hair was messier than it usually was but aside from that, the jog hadn't done much for his head.
So, here he was. Back in his off-
......... Oh?
Hirsch, who was still on his feet, glanced down at his watch and then at the door. He wasn't expecting a meeting, was he? Because he was still dressed in exercise gear and he didn't want to sit there without taking a shower first. But the urgency in the voice drove all of that away and he found himself opening the office door to reveal..... "Miss Dakest? Is everything okay?" And he was going to step out of the way so she could come in. OOC: MY STRONG, CONFIDENT OTHER HALF You're welcome to post in the office thread! ^^ Quote:

She hoped he heard it. Now time to wait and see. Hirsch did hear that knock.
The Defence Professor was currently leaning back in his seat with his feet propped up on his desk. In one hand was a cup of coffee, at that perfect temperature, and in the other hand was a book he'd ordered about Defensive theory. It contained a lot of material he already knew and had already taught but this was a new edition: there was bound to be something else he could explore, right?
The sound of the knocking hardly phased him. "Come in!" he called, keeping his eyes on the paragraph he was currently reading. OOC: STEEEEEPH You're welcome to post in the office thread ^^

| He's sorry...River and I are not. xD (ily Kita, I promise!) Jedi Master•General Iroh•Java Junkie• King ♛ Stefan •Mycroft Holmes•Dragon Lord•Druid Boy If he did get caught, he was going to blame his Uncle River for this. For the record, he did not want to do this prank, nor did he want to single out Professor Hirsch. His uncle River was obviously the more clever Reed between the two, and he'd lost in his debate as to why he shouldn't do this. However in Jace's mind, if he were a real-life samurai, and did work for his lord, he would've done this without a moment's hesitation. He's a Reed after all, and he ought to be loyal to his kin.
Sighing heavily, Jace stealthily moved around the corridor like a shadow and positioned himself well away and hidden from Hirsch's office door while having a clear line of sight. With his wand in hand, the Ravenclaw mustered all of his focus and non-verbally sent a spell towards his target to see if there were any protection charms on it. Jace waited for a few moments to see if the spell sent off an alarm from the inside and when it didn't, the seventh year delivered another spell. This time, it was the real deal. Non-verbally, Jace cast a transfiguring spell and a jinx towards his door wherein it will turn into fine orange and teal glitter mixed with pink hearts as soon as Hirsch touches it from the inside.
When the deed was done, Jace bowed an apology from the shadows and moved stealthily back towards the lower floors to wait for Defense class, checking his watch along the way. Any minute now, Hirsch should be on his way to that class...hopefully, he's not running late today. The glitter should take a while to get rid off.
Another mission accomplished. Sorry Matt, he had to do this alone.

Another mission accomplished. Sorry Matt, he had to do this alone. Luckily for the Ravenclaw, Hirsch was too absorbed in what he was doing to pay much attention to what was going on with his door. Eyes cast downward and head in his hands, the man was currently trying to read a lengthy letter addressed to him about a certain male Prefect of his. A frown settled in as he took in the various complaints about Erik Jessup III along with a request for his immediate removal - or worse - and the signatures of all the students who agreed with them.
Sighing, he glanced down at his watch. There were only a few minutes left until the start of his next class, meaning that any chance of a talk with the Prefect would have to wait until later. The letter was rolled up and placed at the side of his desk before he got up, wand in hand, and headed over to his doo- BOOF!
................
Glitter. It was raining glitter and hearts.
Hirsch blinked several times before wiping his glasses clean and staring at the teal, orange and pink pieces that rained down on him like confetti. Pieces that covered his hair and shoulders entirely, and some even managed to get stuck onto his clothes. And his response? To stare in horror because this was NOT the look he was going for. He had a class to teach and no one in their right mind was going to take a glittery, heart man seriously.
Swearing under his breath, the Defence professor glanced around the Seating Area to see if 1) the culprit was still lingering around and 2) if anyone, culprit or not, had seen the incident in the first place. The last thing he needed right now was another embarrassing nickname added onto the list that contained Hirschys Kisses.
Spotting neither, he glanced first at the empty doorframe and then at the mess on the floor that had been his door and sighed. The glitter really was going to take a while to get rid of.
Thanks, whoever you are.
