| | |  Prefects' Compartment
 At the very front of the first passenger car, the prefects have their own compartment. It looks a little different in comparison to the others, allowing for a more open layout. The walls that separate the corridor from the compartments like the rest of the train do not apply here so anyone can walk about and talk to anyone freely. A wall with a door distinguishes this large open compartment from the rest of the normal compartments on the train.
If you are a prefect, this is the place for you to have your end-of-term student leader meeting, led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, and travel in in style. Don't get too comfortable though; remember that you still need to patrol the other cars on occasion, checking in on both your friends and new faces and making sure your peers in the back of the train haven't destroyed the place. If you are not a prefect, it is advised that you do not disturb those within this particular compartment unless you were personally invited or need immediate assistance.

Vi had checked in, keeping an eye on the younger years as she passed them in the corridor on her way to the Prefect's compartment. She slid into the compartment and found herself alone. Then Vi took a deep breath trying to calm herself once more. No more tears. She had to be happy.... but being by herself made it harder for her to contain her tears.
She took out her journal and began drawing the castle that she loved so dearly. "A la prochaine," she whispered.
With a brighter smile, Olivia Holden lifted her chin up. It was time for her next great adventure.

Ace is getting overly sentimental about this. Like mopey sentimental. Theres plenty of time for that in the days to come, but for now, given that this is his last hurrah, it was time to PARTAY!
The Curly Top blundered in, arms filled with stacks of FOOD stuffs for this pop-up farewell party slash first ever Tastemaster's train event. "Hey babes. Last train ride and last everything with the badge--" he snickered as he started opening the boxes "-- so I was thinking, why not have EVERYONE come in here for a bit eh? My last gift to the kids of Hogwarts and for those who never got the chance to be in here." Because indeed it was a privilege to ride in here for most of his train trips to and fro, and its something that he wanted to share to everyone, at least as his last action as Head Boy.
He lay out the food on the seat nearest the door-- gooey cheesesticks and tasty potato wedges, sandwiches galore, and of course the sweet stuffs-- cupcakes, macaroons, smores and fruit tarts
He bounced back towards the door and hollered down the corridor as loud and as far as his voice would reach "HEY EVERYBODY FREE FOOD PREFECTS COMPARTMENT COME N' GET IT!!!"

There was cheese, she could smell it…aaaand maybe just maybe the former Gryffindor gulp…former had made it a plan to invade the compartment so she could sit with her dear friends and boyfriend for the entire trip….besides, what were they going to talk about that needed to be so hush hush? How the school nearly fell to shambles with possession after possession?
How Hogwarts needed better background checks?
These were known things, still Ace’s booming voice just made the brunette a little more confident in her idea about stepping over the threshold into the compartment. ”heeeey, food nice move…were those from the recipe we’d tried to use last summer?” Mel asked as she pointed at the macaroons – if they were those were damn good.
Taking a little portion of cheesesticks Mel situated herself by the lovely Vi. ”Vi, lovey, I have something for you…if you n e e d it that is” she smiled as she placed a tin of cookies near the gravity tester inside there was also a nice surprise. A simple vial of liquid luck, that Mel had painstakingly brewed for quiet a while that term. ”Ace, I’ve got this for you too” she smiled lifting up a similar tin with the potion inside. "obviously...the cookies are for when you want them not need them...they're just good" she babbled for a moment before taking a bite of her food.

She closed her eyes, clutching the necklace closer to her neck.
Then the silence evaporated when Ace came in with stacks of FOOD. How.... How had he managed that? She blinked, watching him place all the various types of food about the compartment. The boyfriend def needed some help but he managed everything by himself. Impressive. And he even he explained what his wonderful idea was. Invite those who had never stepped in foot in the compartment an opportunity. A wide grin graced her lips. "Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant, love," she spoke with smiling eyes too.
Speaking of.... "Ace..." and then she paused. Err... Never mind. Now was perhaps not the time...
Mel had arrived and had taken the seat next to her. "Hey Mel! Welcome to the humble abode," she said with a grin, sitting up a little straighter. And Mel had brought cookies! Sweet. "Thanks, you shouldn't have. This is great!" With the tin of cookies in her hand now, she opened it up slightly and noticed the lucky charm inside. "And the other surprise is wonderful. That concoction is difficult to brew. Melbourne Sorin-Ward... Future Potions Mistress." Olivia Holden liked the sound of that.
With her blue eyes focused on the liquid luck, Vi glanced at Ace, standing up to approach him. The look of it unnerved her. She didn't need it for this. She lowered her voice. "Erm... Ace... I.. Can we talk? ... privately... After people get settled?" she said with a small smile.

It was time to head back home. Captain Kirk seemingly expected another joyful ride before sinking into the warmth of the summer. Everything was all packed to go. As he got on and headed towards the prefect compartment he could hear the oh so familiar voices through the.. hm, it was open. Oh. Free food.
"Hey." Kirk first said to everyone as he entered in, aha so there's Mel along with Vi and Ace. He unconsciously slipped on beside Mel as if magnetised. "You did all this, Ace?" How sweet, well, bittersweet in this case as he was the only non-graduate currently in here. Anyways, he picked up a cheesestick to enjoy.

Look, nobody ever had to about free food more than once for Sam to come looking, especially if it was the voice of her cousin. His carefully curated food was always the best. And she got to visit the prefect's compartment? Even better. "Don't mind if I do," she said stepping in, taking in the others already there. Well this was definitely awkward, she thought, shoving a cookie in her mouth with a thumbs up to her host.

”I love the abode, I almost said I love what you’ve done with the place…but then I remembered I’m a…I. ugh, it’s my first time in this compartment” wow, had that gone awkward? She grinned over to her friends and immediately tried to brush off the way that sounded.
Mel couldn’t help but grin as she watched Vi as she opened the tin. Ah, good, she’d found her little gift to her. ”there is also a confidence salve I made if you…you know, need it ever?” because clearly, potions were something that were in her blood. Her own sister had almost gone to university for it even…and then, then it was fashion. ”If you want, I can move so you two sit together and canoodle?” she offered with a grin.
”yeaaaah…well, I mean its half a year” she shrugged, ”and I used it for my university application to prove iw as dedicated enough to finish it” she admitted with a bright eyed grin, because it had worked.
Vi hadn’t needed the potion at all it seemed. She was already asking Ace for a private conversation, that only meant one thing right? She was finally letting him in on that one h u g e secret that she had kept for the Australian vixen…Mel was just. About to get up and find a new place to sit when Kirk walked in and sat next to her. It was sweet, cozy, warm and all the things she ever truly needed in relationship…and a seatmate because really, he was comfy.
She was in the midst of leaning against his shoulder when Sammy came into the compartment. Aw, SAMMYKINS, really she had missed her dreadfully when they had stopped talking. ”Sam! Hi, love…how are you? Are those good? I thought they looked it but um when have I ever been able to resist cheese?” she asked beaming at the ever adorable brunette.

Vivian had been one of the last people to get on the train since she had trouble dragging her luggage around, and her Kneazle decided it was the best time to play hide and seek when everyone else was getting settled. Luckily, she had found Marshmallow sashaying down the corridor of the back cars. Now, the prefect was stalking back up the front cars to the prefects' corridor, her Kneazle looking as annoyed as ever between her arms.
...
Why were there so many people? A confused look on her face, Vivian tried pushing her tiny self through the small crowd. "Excuuuuuse me," she said. Honestly, it was times like these when she was absolutely irritated that she wasn't tall. Clearly, there were just too many invaders here today.
Oh, was that a cupcake? "Hi, everyone," Vivian greeted. "What's going on?" And could she have one of thoooose?

First time in the compartment? Vi paused at the comment Mel had made. Wow... First time. She felt kind of bad for not inviting her sooner but.... Why hadn't Ace, Kirk, or her invited her before? That was a good question that she chose not to voice; otherwise, she would have felt incredibly MORE awkward. Err... " Nice. Huh?" That was all she could really say. Small smile there. She then directed her attention to the vial.... Confidence salve, liquid luck... Mel was really trying to hint at her that now was the perfect timing for the conversation she needed to be brave and have. Err.. Uhh... " MEL!" CANOODLE? In the Prefect Compartment??! Vi's face turned the same colour as her Gryffindor tie at the mention of canoodling in front of others. That was... not professional of her. " Err.... That's okay... Stay there..." OH DEAR MERLIN. As much as she would have enjoyed canoodling, Ace had just opened up the Prefect's Compartment to all the members on the train. Though if Zita tried anything...she SWORE to Merlin that canoodling would happen.. She remained silent as she eyed Mel's concoctions as she listened to her friend inform her of how she applied to university with it.
The door slid open again and Mel's very own boyfriend, Cap Kirk, joined the fun. Vi offered him a warm smile paired with a , " hey! How's it going?" as she watched her fellow student leader enter the compartment. And to his question... " Yes, Ace did." Seriously what a guy Ace was...  The brunette lovingly looked up at her boyfriend momentarily before hearing the door open again to reveal a new guest! Her eyes widen and a smile graced her lips. SAMMY???! It felt like it has been years since she had seen Sammy. NEWTS and the end of year hecticness had gotten in the way of them spending time together but it was so good to see her now. " Sammy! Welcome! Come join," she said, offering another grin.
Vi was about to turn back to the group when she heard another voice near the door. Was that Prefect Vivian? She beamed at the thought of seeing her fellow sugar lover and when she saw the girl with her very own eyes, she couldn't help but smile even more. " Vivian!" she exclaimed and then explained the situation. " Ace has opened up our compartment to all the guests on the train so that they can see what the Prefect's Compartment is like and enjoy the treats that he made."

Normally Kye wouldn't bother with the Prefect Compartment, but.. she heard Ace yelling about having food and she decided it wouldn't hurt to go see what the fuss was about! Kye arrived partway through their journey home and saw that there were indeed snacks! And... oh... wait seriously?? "Are those mozzarella sticks??" because those and bruschetta were THE best appetizers in the WORLD. She drew her gaze from the food for a moment and looked up at those here. "Hey all! Hope you don't mind one more sardine in here!" she mused, mentally noting that without snacks she would definitely NOT be okay with the overcrowding of a single compartment. At least there was more room to walk around in here! She was able to eavesdrop enough to hear that the 'host' of this was in fact their Head Boy. That was a great way to end your time at Hogwarts though, and Kye recommended it to every Head Boy and Girl. "Thanks, Ace!" she smiled and tried to catch his eye because yes she was about to dig in, but she wanted him to know that she was grateful. She grabbed a plate and gifted herself mozarella sticks aaaaaaaaaand smores!! | |
