After spending much of the term on alternative uses for plants (while still covering the key points he needed to cover for each year), Paul thought they’d have a version of this today in CHILL form. Just showing some cool tips and different things they could do with plants and MAAAGIIIIIC. The play was coming along so well, and overall...he was much more relaxed this term and his mental health was better for it.

Greenhouse One was the location of their lesson today, and copious amounts of various plants littered the ground in different pots and containers. It was cold...very cold, this time of the year, and Paul had made it quite warm in the greenhouse so that they’d be comfortable and welcomed WARMLY to this midday lesson.

Paul had cleared the tables away and put differently colored cushions on the ground for the students to sit on. He picked a purple one for himself and got comfy. Bum wigggggggling and taking deep breaths and getting himself MENTALLY PREPPED for this. Maybe they’d do a warm up.

“Everyone find a pillow and sit criss-cross, please. We’ll do some BREATHING exercises to begin.”

When he first started at Hogwarts, the first two or so years, he would always start class like this. Then...he just got too impatient with it so now it only happened once or twice a term depending on his brainspace.

OOC: Hi guys! Welcome to the first and only Herbology lesson! This term, Paul took special interest in alternative or practical uses for plants! Just so that this lesson doesn’t seem like it’s out of left field xD My assignment will up shortly. <3 I’ll be trying to move this on tomorrow! MWUAH!

The Gryffindor had been practicing the incantation over and over again a couple of times. Even though she wasn't one to typically practice before trying the spell out, she had absolutely no interest in participating in the oil extraction. And thus, she was hoping to waste all their activity time by practicing. It was the most genius plan she had ever come up with besides the one she had concocted to get out of remedial potion lessons. Dude. Zoryn was on her O game this year.

HEhehe.

"Nah-tah-trah-hooooh," why did this spell have SO many syllables? "Nah-tah--"

And then Professor Myers puked. All over the floor. Right in front of her very eyes.

The noise. The smell. The sight. The very act of her Professor throwing up almost immediately triggered a similar reaction for the Gryffindor.

*BLEEEEEERRRRGGGGH* x2

There went her lunch too.

Really people?! Nobody was willing to help? Well alright then...Skyler frowned and despite the smell and knowing she would puke herself, she took a small plastic bag from her over shoulder bag and a dry cloth. She was glad she had snagged a few crackers from breakfast. Carefully, she walked up to professor Myers, stepping around his vomit.
"Here professor," she said and handed him the small bag of salteens and the dry cloth. "To help settle your stomach," she said nodding at the small bag of crackers in her hand, making a mental note to give a couple to Zoryn too.

WHAT WAS GOING ON?!

Daehyun was minding his business, practicing on extracting the oils, when a weird sound followed by a foul smell had caught his attention. Looking up at professor Myers, his eyes widened when the man threw up right in front of them, but was too frozen to move.

... and not long after, he'd heard it again, the smell only intensifying.

Hoping that anyone else was looking after professor Myers, he ran towards his housemate, and cast a quick Scourgify at the mess. He thanked Merlin he seemed to be somewhat immune to- the whole mess going on around them, but he had his limits too, and the smell was becoming unbearable. "Do you need some water?" he asked, already rummaging through his bag for a napkin to offer Zoryn. "Chocolate, anything?"

Could anyone do that awesome thing professors did and call healer Macmillan through a patronus?

Rylee was super duper excited! Having managed to extract the essence of the flower AND it get into the vial without messing up was a HUGE deal for her! Herbology was one of her favorite lessons and she was good at it. She was just about to raise her hand and ask if she was supposed to try again when-

Professor Myers lost his lunch ALL over the greenhouse floor. Right in front of everyone. Poor Professor! Not even seconds later Zoryn was getting sick too!

The warmth of the greenhouse compiled with the smell of sickness wasn't pleasant at all and Rylee very much nearly gagged herself. Tugging her shirt up over her mouth and nose was a bit helpful. It seemed Daniel had the right idea and she quickly followed suit leaping up onto her feet, wand still in her hand. There wasn't much she could do but she did already know Scourgify so she cast that once more just as an added help since not one but two people were ill.

"Should I go get the Healer, Professor?" she wouldn't have any problem running inside to get the women if need be.

Ace was really getting a hang of this spell, so much so that he went to get another herb to extract the oils out of that one when, upon his return to his work station, the Herbologist had stuff COMING OUT of his MOUTH.

Oh no oh no oh no, this is NOT the time for sympathetic barfing.

He turned one way to try to settle his own stomach when at that moment ZORYN couldnt keep it down either. GAH!! He could feel his lunch creeping up his throat now. Nuuuuuuuu....

Breathe in.... keep it DOWN.... breathe breathe-- OMG the STENCH. "Sorry Professor!--" the Head Boy blurted as he threw open the door and some of the windows, then cast a wind charm to BLOW the stench OUT. Someone was scourgifying the sick. Good kiddos "Thanks guys." he said gratefully to Daehyun and Rylee. "I think thats a good idea Rylee, getting the Healer." Unless Myers would belay that suggestion.

"Uhm... I think its best to give them water for now--" he mentioned to Daehyun and the young Slytherin girl (Skyler Queen). He managed to transfigure some cups and then some water and gave it to Myers and Zoryn "Reintroducing any solid food right after the incident is not a good idea. We should let their stomach settle for a bit."

It was...extremely warm...which didn't help how awful he felt...PLUS all of them had SEEN HIM puke and he felt his cheeks just BURNING at the thought. He managed to wave his wand and evanesco that nonsense away, but then ZORYN threw up and Paul knew...okay...

"You all can go! I'm clearly not feeling well--" he was blowing cold air on his face. His skin looked waxen and pale, almost green. Merlin. "I..I just need some fresh air--class dismissed!" Because who wanted to stay after that whole scene O__O And Paul literally felt he was going to pass out very shortly if he did not sit down or drink water or BOTH--

"So sorry to end early!"

He nodded at the suggestion of water. "Water would be nice, but no one is obligated to stay! I'll probably head to the healer--Zoryn, are you all right? Just grossed out?" He poofed her vomit away, too. The saltines might be nice. He took the bag and sniffed the saltiness...inside...not sure if he could stomach it.

Skyler bit her lip but said nothing a concerned look on her face as she left the greenhouse. She did hope that he would get better soon. She hated being sick.

Peppermint!! Emmalyn suddenly remembered that her mother used to soak cotton balls with peppermint oil when her dad was sick. It always helped his nausea and there was surely a peppermint plant in the room.

Her eyes scanned the sides of the greenhouse, hoping to find what she was looking for. At last her eyes landed on just the plant she needed. She grabbed an empty vial and dashed across the room. Wand in hand she shouted "natatraho!" with the fly fishing wand movement. A solid stream of peppermint oil followed the tip of her wand and into the vial.

Glancing around, she didn't see any cotton balls. There wasn't really any reason for them to be in the greenhouse, so she settled on some cotton cloth that was near by. After soaking the cloth with the peppermint oil, she used her empty hand to cover her face with the sleeve of her robes, no need exposing herself more than necessary, and made her way to Professor Myers side. "Here Sir, sniff the peppermint. It should help settle your stomach." Emmalyn held out the peppermint oil soaked cotton to the professor, hoping he would would take her up on her offer.

There was way too much puking going on in here. The vom had been vanished and the Head Boy had opened the windows but the stench was still lingering. Or maybe it was just his imagination. Gross. Just GROSS.

Maxton darted from the greenhouse the second Professor Myers said class dismissed. There was no way he was hanging around. Byeeee.

What Skylar did not expect as she was glancing between the Hufflepuff captain and spinning her wand lightly in her hand, focusing on her oil extractions, was what happened next in almost a whirlwind.

Vomit? From the Professor? Perhaps it was seeing him cursed last year during play rehearsal, perhaps it was just general sleuthing skills now that she was a sixth year and 'one of the big kids', but even as Zoryn Spinnet proceeded to get sick promptly after Myers, even as Myers dismissed them, Skylar wasn't going anywhere. She had a strong stomach (mostly) and there was something fishy going around that had nothing to do with the smell of acid and vomit.

Water, yes, she was on that. Conjuring a glass and some water, she approached, as the small first year Hufflepuff was offering peppermint oil for him to sniff. "Professor... Are you... it's not..." She wanted to say, related to last year's incident, but was having issues getting the words out. "Do you think the perpetrator is ... the same as ... you know?"

Zoryn was disgusted. She hardly registered what Daehyun was saying, shaking her head to the offer. While chocolate was typically always welcome, Zor needed to brush her mouth and rinse it out before she even thought about introducing food. ‘Cause if she ate chocolate right after… THAT, she’d probably never be able to eat it ever again.

“Super grossed out,” she turned her head to look at her Professor. And y’know what, she was starting to feel sick all over again. “I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE,” she declined Ace’s offer too and instead of sticking around, the Gryffindor BOLTED.

She needed to be as far away from the puke as possible before it made her sick all over again.

Alyce was minding her own business and waited for the next instruction from the Professor when she saw Professor Myers puked his guts out. Her first instinct was to get far FAR away as possible from the puke. Not long after that, the Gryffindor's captain decided to follow Professor Myers.

Eeeewww....Eeeewwww....

The smell...It's just awful. She need to get out from here before she puked too. "Bye, Professor. Get well soon." The Slytherin rushed out of the classroom as soon as the Professor dismissed the class.

With the sickness being vanished and the windows now opened, Rylee was able to breath a little better. She sent Ace a small grateful smile and a nod of her head. The Healer would be able to know what was best. Slowly making her way around Skylar and Emmalyn she peered up at Professor Myers.

"Would you like me to go get the Healer, Professor?" Rylee didn't seem bothered by the fact that the class had been dismissed already. If someone was ill then she wanted to help them out as best as she could. And if racing all the way to the hospital wing was what would help then that's what she would do.

As Zarina was getting ready to practice the spell for a second time, she looked up and saw Professor Meyers wasn't looking soo good. He seemed pale and looked nauseous. As he was speaking to us to move on the lesson, she saw all his lunch being up chucked. Zae scrunched her nose and thought that was gross. Zae hoped whatever it was she wasn't going to catch it.

Zae had to voice her worry, "Professor I think we should stop the lesson if your not feeling well..." She would be more than happy to get a healer to check on him. "Did you have something at the great hall you shouldn't have?" I mean that is another option to consider.

With his cinnamon extract safely in its vial, Ronan started to wonder what was next. Were they suppose to do the spell again on another plant? Because that peppermint might be go....

Ugh. He never got to finish that thought, because all of a sudden Professor Myers was losing his lunch all over the floor. Closely followed by Zoryn. Though, he was pretty sure Zoryn's was purely reactionary. A thought that was confirmed when she hurried out of the room. Nope, don't join them, Carter. He was about to cast a Bubble-Head Charm on himself when Ace opened the doors and windows and cast a wind charm. Even better idea. He threw a thumbs up at the Head Boy and joined the group around the professor.

Hearing what Skylar was asking and understanding the words she seemly couldn't say, he spoke up. "Then someone probably needs to get the Headmistress too." He cast a nonverbal SpeRevelio to be sure. If he was cursed again, the spell would likely show it.

Kye was doing quite well considering which class she was in, and had high hopes on getting a good sample of oil from the jasmine plant before her. It smelled very nice, and she had a few ideas of what she could try to use it for, but perhaps Professor Myers could help her with doing them right... Well... That was if Professor Myers was going to be up for anything, because at that moment her thoughts were disturbed by the professor retching RIGHT THERE. And then Zoryn joined in on that mess as well. What. was. happening?! There was a slight feeling here of deja vu, but Kye was a little too grossed out at the moment as the stench had just reached her nose. She helped clean up the mess, and decided to hang back as she didn't want to crowd around the sickies. Class was dismissed, but......... like, honestly...... she was so close to having a full bottle. She went back to her plant and cast the spell once more to fill the vial before putting it away, and packing up.
