Gregory the Smarmy

Further down the fifth-floor corridor awaits a statue of a rather large bald man with several chins. If you know your potions or history well enough, you will be able to identify this medieval wizard as the inventor of Gregory's Unctuous Unction. Though a fine wizard, he is credited for worming his way into King Richard's confidence and making a fortune by administrating his BFF-in-a-vial to the former Muggle ruler.

While Gregory the Smarmy's story may be interesting to some, you might find what he is hiding to be more your scene. Looking closely behind the large man, you just might see a slight opening of a secret passageway. Few, however, have access to the passage and know exactly where it leads because not very many people know how to get the bulky statue to move aside. Trying all of the random passwords you know will result in failure and wasted time. Perhaps you need to take a leaf out of Gregory's book and find a way to excessively flatter him. Good luck.

Beau wasn’t rushing back to his dorm — Alright, he was, because he had forgotten his potions homework and he was still trying to make a good impression on the new professors so he HAD to be doing things right. Right? There was a certain air of speed to his steps as he russsshhhheeeed down the corridors on his way to the towers to get it off of his bed. It had been RIGHT there when he was getting dressing this morning.

ALTHoUugh, beau had also forgotten to tuck his shirt in and had done his buttons up in the wrong order so it wasn’t a surprise that he forgot his homework really. Too many thoughts happening in his brai— OOOH.

What.

Was.

That?!

Beau-ey skidded his speed walk to a stop as he saw the money scattered there on the floor. And then he turned around and started hurrying back towards the coins around the feet of a statue — an ugly statue, mind you.

MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE.

With a history of magic textbook clutched in his arms, Dorian was making his way towards the library to study and make notes of the things he was struggling with. He could have stayed in the common room but it was getting too noisy even for him.

As he walked, a familiar boy walked in front of him. He had seen him during classes and as he tried to recall his name, an exercise of thinking of the names of everyone who passed by, his blue eyes almost automatically went to something that shined in the corner near the feet of a statue.

Was that? money!

As he saw that the other kid was turning back around and hurrying back to no doubt pick up the coins, the Ravenclaw took out his wand and pointed it at the coins instead. "Accio coins!"

.........Nothing happened. They did not even budge. For a full second, Dorian grumbled but he did not want to lose this non-battle. So with bigger steps than he normally walked, the second year reached the statue but sadly after the other guy. "DON'T TOUCH THEM!" he shouted out of the blue to hopefully startle the guy.

Beau heard the spell shouted and just for a second he thought it was himself that had cast it, but then realised that he would never have thought to have done that (because ew spell casting over diving?!) and so SOMEONE ELSE WAS AFTER HIS MOOLAH. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" he wailed, dragging the coins towards him after he thudded on the floor.

"They're MiIiIiiIiiiiiiine!!!!!"
