| | Game Room Looking for a bit of fun? Well, you've come to the right place! The game room is where you'll find shelves full of board and card games, both magical and muggle. There's a wizards chess set and a few decks of exploding snap and some magical playing cards. In the middle of the room is a Foosball table modified to simulate a game of quidditch. Just use your wand to guide the players where you want them to go!
Along the walls you'll see a pinball machine that, like the Foosball table is controlled by magic. There's also skee ball and a few videogames that used to be housed in the bistro. Happy playing, and remember: it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game! |

| Arts TRANSPONSTER! ENOUGHHHHH. Matt had had ENOUGH of NEWTs studying for now. Stinking Merlin, he felt like his brain was about to implode and he couldn't take it anymore.
So there he was, in the game room! Yaaaaaaas!!
Ugh, he was tired.
The seventh year ran his hand down his face to try and wake himself up a bit. Noooo, he didn't want to nap! Pshhh, what a waste of time! This Gryffindor wanted to do something interesting, but he couldn't be bothered to leave the Gryffindor Tower, soooo Game Room it was.
He took a good look around before setting to start with a deck of Exploding Snaps. A classic. |

Rylee spent a fair amount of time in this place... when she wasn't exploring, studying, in lessons, doing homework, practicing for the play, practicing with the quidditch team or dancing. There was always time for fun. Like now.
Entering the room with a spring to her step, blue eyes scanned over everything already trying to decide what she wanted to play. "Hello!," she chirped happily smiling brightly at her older house mate. "Whatcha doing?" She wandered over to check out what he was playing. He wanted company, anyhow, she was sure of it. If he was going to play a game he needed someone to play with!

If he was going to play a game he needed someone to play with! Matt looked up to see a little firstie skipping into the room. Ahh, to be eleven again... no NEWTs to study... no thinking about your future career... no idiots to deal with.
Well, there were first year Slytherins too. Okay, Matt took that last part back.
Although the girl was speaking directly to him, he simply watched her, without saying anything at first. He just sat there for a few seconds as she wandered towards him, looking all innocent and just being a happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine.
Ah... to be eleven again.
That meant he would take him WAY longer to leave Hogwarts and to start his training as an Auror. Hm, alright. Being eighteen had its perks. A lot of them, actually.
But studying for NEWTs was not one of them, that was for sure.
Anyhow, this little girl was pretty much right at his face now, so he gave her a tired smile and finally responded. "Fancy building a card house with these?" He held up the Exploding Snap deck. "Have you ever built one?" The seventh year asked, making some space on the table in front of them and placing the deck to a side. He took two cards and carefully placed them on the table facing each other, their tops touching and eventually he managed to get them to stay still, balancing off one another. "Tadah!" Easy start, nothing had exploded yet. All good! |

Easy start, nothing had exploded yet. All good! Umm... the older boys silence confused her. Had she said something wrong. No, no she only said hi and asked what he was doing. Nothing bad about that. Plus he was all alone so she wasn't getting in the middle of anything. Had he not heard her? No, that couldn't be it either. She was literally right beside him when she asked. Older students could be so strange sometimes.
It seemed like FOREVER before he finally spoke but not before giving her a very sad looking smile. If that was the best he could do he definitely needed some practice. "A card house? Okay." Rylee nodded grabbing a chair and pulling it over so she could sit down. "I've tried a few times but I'm not really that good at it." In other words she somehow always managed to knock it down after a few cards were in place.
Watching as the two cards were balanced together she smiled widely. "Now we have to do the same with these two cards," she picked up two cards from the deck, "like this, right?" She tried to balance them both with their tops touching close enough to the cards he had just balanced without knocking them over. It took her a few seconds but she managed it. "I did it!" Rylee giggled smiling brightly at him.

He sat back and watched as she worked hard to get the other two cards to balance. It seemed like she was taking some time, but miracles did happen, and Matt was actually patient, look at that. What being tired didn't do to a person. "Yep, just like that." Should he tell her that in case she dropped the cards and/or knocked over the whole thing... the Exploding Snaps would, you know, explode? He snorted just thinking of it, and decided not to tell her. That'd be another level of entertainment, he knew that for sure. "Woooo, well done!" He exclaimed, sitting up again and getting two cards for him to balance next to the other lot. It didn't take him too long as he was used to building those, and also because the first couple of cards were the most difficult ones to get up. After that, it was pretty easy to keep going if you knew what you were doing.
He took a few more cards. "Then we start the next level, like this." He placed a few cards horizontally, on top of the few pairs of cards standing. Then, taking another two cards, he carefully balanced them against each other, starting the next level of their card building. "The taller the tower, the cooler it is!" Fact. And also the louder the explosion. Hehehehehehehehehehe. |

It was a tower of cards which shouldn't require so much focus but she wanted to show the older boy that she was capable of at least somewhat helping out in building this tower of cards.
Rylee wiggled a little bit. "Thanks!" Getting praise for what she had no matter that it was pretty easy was nice. It hadn't been to hard a task. She watched closely as he set up more cards and got them started on the next level. "Got it! I can do it!" How hard could it be really.
Taking a few more cards for herself she carefully balanced two of the cards together so that they would stand up. "How high do you think we can build this before it falls?" Quick glance at him. Maybe they could get it so tall they run out of cards to use!
