| | Front Cars If you are eager to see, be seen, and get to school first, then the front passenger cars of the train are for you. Just like the other cars, a long corridor provides access to the many compartments, each labelled with a letter, available for you and your friends to hunker down in until the train has come to a complete stop. Cushioned seats and large windows, allowing perfect views of the British scenery on your journey, await.
Well, what are you waiting for? Slide open a compartment door and make yourself at home. Place any of your belongings not in the luggage car on the racks above you. Chat with your friends about what you did this summer, enjoy munching on the snacks you bought from the trolley lady, get ahead of the game by reading your textbooks, or take a long nap as the train travels over numerous hills and mountainsides. Whatever you do, exhibit your best behaviour -- the prefects will be regularly patrolling the corridors and poking their heads inside your compartment to make sure you are doing so.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addison Ayers First Year | For Kimothy! Anyone else is free to join as well 6th year... How had time gone so quick?! Kye had said her goodbyes at King's Cross and gone through the platform alone. She arrived fairly early actually, and had settled in one of the first cars. No particular reason, but she liked it up here where people weren't as crazy and off the walls. After getting her luggage settled, she opened a cage to allow her cat, Edie, to roam free while no one else was around to be allergic to her.
She opened her new Goshawk and started reading. She could hear voices growing in volume on the platform, and slight movement as more and more students started to board. Ah, it was the beginning again. Kye's favorite time of year. |

Ah, it was the beginning again. Kye's favorite time of year. It wasn't that Vivian hated her co-prefects, but she was glad to be out of that prefects' compartment. What with Quidditch back at Hogwarts, it meant having four more captain butts seated and the blond wasn't a big fan of crowded places. She wasn't complaining, not really, but it was going to take some time to adjust. And to think Coleslaw was her co-prefect for Slytherin? Yeah, she still had very much mixed emotions about that. Removing herself from that compartment after their annual start-of-term get-together was probably a good decision on her part.
Vivian wasn't exactly looking for a friend in specific, but she was hoping to maybe bump into Liss or Hattie or Chase so she didn't have to look like a total loner. She casually peeked into each compartment, making excuses that she was 'just checking' if she caught herself in awkward shouldn't-have-intruded situations. No dormie, no snogging buddy, no bestie. Perhaps they weren't around this part of the train? Peeking into another one, she was quite glad to see a familiar face. " Hey!" the blond said, grinning and waving a finger at Kye. " Am I interrupting?" She had a book, after all, and Vivian knew full well that some people just didn't like to be distracted from their pastimes.

| Any of the people that want to play — you can Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN Alessandro thought he did not want a lot of fuss when he shipped off to Hogwarts. His brother and cousins did not need their mothers to kiss their heads and coddle them on the platform so it followed that he wouldn’t need the extra attention either. But now that the day was here—and all his father had given him was a quick albeit firm hug— Al figured a motherly cuddle would not have been the worst thing.
He clenched and unclenched his gloved fists.
Keeping out-of-sight and near the train walls as older kids whipped by, Alessandro Toussaint found an empty compartment and sat. Once settled, he reached in his pocket and played with the gift Bastien had given him thoughtlessly.

Her father had seen her sneak past them, but had just dismissed her with a smile. That's was one of the things she liked about him, he was always subtle and understood Amara.
She knew those Zyanya wouldn't miss her for a while now until the mom-daughter duo finished their probably tear-filled goodbyes. She'd already said her fair share of bye on the way to the station. She just wanted to settle down in a cozy seat and dream about Hogwarts.
She opened the door to the first compartment and almost entered it absent-mindedly when she found a boy inside. He seemed rather preoccupied with something in his hands. Amara wondered whether he'd noticed her.
Did he want to be alone? Would be too late to turn back? Unsure of what to do, she just cleared her throat loudly.

For only a second, he looked alarmed at the new person in his compartment and then his features transformed into something winning. “Oh, hello.” He outstretched his gloved hand politely to shake hers, “I’m Alessandro. And you are?”

Harriet was both excited and sad to be back at Hogwarts. She was happy that she had passed her OWLS, and she loved school, so was excited to go back to the castle. But her boyfriend had graduated last term, meaning she was going back without him. It was going to be hard, not having him around, but they would cope. And she'd be counting down the days until she saw him again. She though, was in the front cars of the train with a smile. She was excited to see what sixth year had. She was going to try and keep on top of her studies though. Last year had been painful, and she knew it would only get worse with NEWTS. She felt more confident after her exam results though. So that was good.
Knowing most of her friends would be in the prefect compartment the sixth year hufflepuff went and found herself an empty compartment and sat herself down. She hoped the others would come, hopefully not having to spend the entire train ride in the prefects compartment. But for now, she busied herself by getting her sketchpad out, and beginning a new drawing.

Hogwarts RPG Name: E M Knight Fifth Year | Open to anyone. <3 she won't bite, probably. Hufflepuff Forever Interstellar Hitchhiker Sam wasn't usually one for being overly emotional about things, and heading off to her final year at Hogwarts was not one of the few things that would get her worked up. Though admittedly, she wished that it would be more eventful and memorable than it was so far. Most of the people she'd want to be around were either stuck in the prefects compartment, or she just hadnt been able to fined them. (It not like she was a Hufflepuff after all) so she had found herself a compartment that was atleast for now, quiet, and sat down next to the window. She'd be able to gaze out of it when she wanted, but for now, she closed her eyes, resting her head against the cool pane.

Patrick had boarded the train at the front knowing he would have to work his way to the back since he was running a bit late today. His twin brothers just had to come visit since they had heard from friends quiditch would be back at school. He wasn’t sure why they cared but he had to sit and wait until someone could take him to the train station. He grumbled as he walked down the train isles. He recognized his prefect as she walked by the isles. He nodded and waived before continuing down the hallways wondering if he would find any of his friends.

She hoped the others would come, hopefully not having to spend the entire train ride in the prefects compartment. For one, she'd learned who the Gryffindor Captain was and wasn't exactly feeling sharing a compartment with the younger girl again. Even if she hadn't intended to do so back in June on the ride to King's Cross, if she had a choice, yea no thank you. It was bad enough that they were going to be seeing each other often on the pitch.
She was still a bag of emotions over her OWL results; positive ones, mostly, because well, she'd passed all twelve. Not just passed though - flying colours! Except for Herbology, but honestly, Skylar was okay with that one.
Anyway, brooms in hand (because she wasn't leaving her new Bluebottle unattended and the she wasn't sure leaving her old broom was wise either), the Slytherin made her way down the corridor, peering into various compartments for a friendly face. She beamed when she saw her ickle first year - who was a second now?!? They grow up so fast, but that wasn't who she was looking for. No, she was looking for her first friend. Her sister, really. And when she saw her in the compartment across the way, she poked her head in on Patrick for a brief moment, "Hey Patrick, I'll be a couple compartments down if you want to join." Because she wanted to talk to him, but sister first?
Not even knocking, the sixth year slid open Hattie's compartment, and onto the seat across from her, her brooms occupying the space next to her. "You win anything cool this year?" No greeting, because it wasn't necessary with the Hufflepuff. Ever.

Edie jumped onto the seat that Kye had vacated, and made herself comfortable. Ah well, there were plenty of other seats in here. Well, thank Merlin she was welcomed in this compartment. Vivian beamed as she let herself inside and slid the compartment door shut. And the hug? The blond definitely liked hugs and so she opened her arms to embrace Kye. She hadn't seen her the whole summer, which the prefect felt should definitely change. Summer meet-ups were a big thing! " That's good! Do you mind if I stay here for a while?" she asked, releasing from the hug afterwards.
" My summer was great! There were some pretty cool pool parties and I visited other places too," Vivian shared. She definitely enjoyed exploring Vienna with her family, and made a couple of visits to Chase's place in Edinburgh too. It was a great summer, over all. " Now, you tell me about yours." Vivian tugged on Kye's arm as she went to sit opposite her cat. Was that Kye's cat? The blond made a mental note to look for her Kneazle too, maybe later.

He was happy to see her looking significantly less stressed as when they left Hogwarts at the end of the term. “Hey Skylar. Yeah gotta run to the back real quick. I’ll see you later?” he hoped she wouldn’t be offended.
He was really hoping he could find where his brothers left his stuff. They had dropped him off and thought it was funny to hide his stuff like he was still a little kiddie and they could treat him like mean older brothers. They were rambunctious and his mother would have them pulled away by their ears. He heard them mumble that his oldest brother had done the same thing to them... sure he did. He continued to move toward the back checking compartments for his stuff.

Nope.
This wasn’t it, this wasn’t the end. There was another year, there was always another year and another train ride from London to Hogsmeade…there was also no way those were tears hanging at the edge of her eyes as she stood there.
WHY.
Why? Why did it have to be that Ace, Vi, and Kirk all had to be in the compartment together…that damned prefect compartment…Mel wasn’t mad, not really…she was just,…she felt alone and like she were missing something or someone.
With every step down the corridor she kept looking – she needed to find them…well, her if she could…she didn’t think that he would be there because really…what she really wanted was to sit with everyone from that fabled first ride to school.
Finally. There she was, alone…but maybe that was better?
Taking a tentative step into the compartment Mel put on her brave face…pushed her chin up and sat down right across from her. ”I miss you Sammy,” the words were natural…, so natural and real. It was the truth, she hadn’t really spent decent time with her childhood best friend since…since that stupid summer.
Not really waiting for a response she just closed her eyes and plugged on...not even caring anymore that the makeup she had painstakingly applied earlier was likely running down her cheeks as she openly and silently cried. "Its...the e-end of it...we-we're g-graduating thi-this year...a-and i've b-been s-s-such a b-b-baa...bad friend to you and i miss you...I miss you so much that whenever i saw you last year i'd feel pain because you're my girl...you've been through it all with me...I-i...i mean you and Ace were there for me when my parents..." she trailed off, "lets start fresh this year? yeah? like i don't e-even remember what we were fighting about...b-but lets forget it and leave it in the past? yeah?"
Mel paused for a bit..."...this summer, I suggested to Vi that we all get a place together and I meant you too...you, me, Ace, and Vi?..." she left the statement out there hopefully but if she needed to...if Sammy didn't want it - didn't want her she would leave. Find any one of her precious friends to get a hug from and buck up as Gryffindors always seemed to do. Gryffindors...gosh, they faced the flames without letting the chinks in their armor show. Gryffindors were idiots.

"I'm Amara.." she paused, "You don't mind some company do you?" she motioned towards the seat opposite him, "My sister would be here shortly.. She'd have to have a word with Amara. She understood that emotional goodbyes weren't Amara's thing but it wouldn't have been much for Amara to just do it this once. It's not everyday that they left for Hogwarts.
Once she had finally made her goodbyes with her parents, she had started searching for Amara. She thought she saw Amara enter from the front so she went in. She was wondering if she would have to look the entire length of the train to find her sister. Damn you, Amara!
Then, as luck would have it, she found her in the first compartment itself. Peering in, she found her sister talking to someone but couldn't clearly see who it was. She opened the door and walked in, clearing her throat. She was mad and she was going to make sure Amara made up to her.

Ever. Art was her passion. She was pretty sure there was nobody at Hogwarts, that didn't know how much she adored art. It was what she wanted to do as a career. That had been the reason why she wasn't too bothered with her OWLS last year. But the marks she had actually got had made her a little more confident. She could do this whole magic thing, and was a little more serious about her NEWT classes now. Or at least she was going to try to be. It was good to have a back up, just in case her art career didn't work out. So as she sat in the compartment she got a little distracted. She really could spend hours doing art and not even realise that any time had come past.
She looked up as she heard a voice, and she grinned at her best friend. She hadn't even noticed that Sky had come in. She smirked, nodding at the brooms. "Nice" Hattie didn't really like quidditch, but she could appreciate a good broom when she did. "I won two small competitions" She mused, answering her friends question. "But I'm more concentrating on finishing an entire collection now" So she could have it shown in a gallery.

Amara, she said her name was.
He conceded the seat to her, ”Of course you can sit there. Your sister, too.” And like he had conjured her with the mere mention, a new girl who Al assumed to be Amara’s sister materialised in the door. He looked between the two and sensed a bit of tension and, then, masterfully ignored it. “Hello,” he offered his hand to the second sister, “You must be Amara’s sister. I’m Alessandro.”

Hogwarts RPG Name: Archie O'Brien Slytherin Third Year | For Skylar and Harriet! Deciding to explore around a bit and meet new people, Aaron had found himself wondering into the front part of the train. Peering around, he had spotted a few other kid's that he met in the Alley, but,
this was about making new friends for even more adventures right now. Just in case there ever was a time when some of his friends couldn't go exploring,
adding more would help better his options.
That's when his eyes came across two girls sitting in one of the cabins, one of them was carrying a really cool broom while they other seemed settled in.
Bubbly like every other time, Aaron wondered over to the two. "Hi! Do you mind if I join you two? My name's Aaron by the way." Grinning from ear to ear, the firstie couldn't help but laugh a bit after saying that. He was just so excited about everything that was happening. Life couldn't have been any better right now for him.

GOD I HOPE NOT!
Amara stole one look at her sister and knew she was in for trouble. A lot of trouble. She had that coming since Flourish and Blotts. No one could save her now. Shaking her head in mock resignation she sat down opposite the boy.
Wondering if the boy could sense the tension between them, she motioned for her twin to take the seat beside her and turned towards him. " Ales...san...dro" Huh, it's a pretty name. " Can I call you Alex?" Pretty and convenient.

"Sounds great!" Skylar beamed, wondering if she could recruit him to tryout for her team. She knew him to be a great team player, but she wasn't sure exactly how well his flying skills were. Yes, she was already thinking about her recruits, because why shouldn't she? Strategy was everything. Quote:

Life couldn't have been any better right now for him. Skylar wasn't sure how Hattie would feel about the brooms, given that her friend didn't fly for her own reasons, so when the blond commented with a nice, well, that was just about the best compliment she could receive from someone who was against the sport. If it had been anyone else, she might have snapped about this one being TOP OF THE LINE and complaining for not seeming to care, but a nice from Hattie was just as good as caring as Skylar could have hoped. "An entire collection? Wow. How many paintings does that include?" Skylar inquired about that, because she was actually genuinely curious even if she didn't care for art much herself. "Do I get an autographed painting?" Cause best friend rights and all.
That was when the compartment door slid open and a small entered, very bravely and confidently asking about joining them. "Nah, of course not. First train ride? I'm Skylar... I'll be a sixth year." And captain too, but if he wanted to ask about that, well, he could see the badge pinned to her shirt...

Everything was so loud and so busy. Shera, who had been caught up in the excitement early on and also hadn't slept the night before was feeling the effects of that now as she wandered slowly to try to find herself a quiet carriage for a nap before she got to Hogwarts.
It took a while, but she finally found one, allowing herself to curl up on the seat with her kitten already asleep in her arms.
At least she could still dream about how excited she was to finally be going to Hogwarts.

| 7th Year open to anyone Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Her last train ride to Hogwarts.
This was the first of many lasts she knew she was going to feel over the course of the term. Cass might have counted her shopping experiences in Diagon Alley but she planned on some time in University after graduation so more trips for school supplies were bound to happen. After finally escaping her parents’ grasp, her mother being mildly emotional, the Ravenclaw climbed aboard the Express and deposited her trunk before moving in search of a spot on the train. With friend or stranger she really didn’t care, but she just wanted this trip to begin. Too much time to dwell on the significance of the journey was only going to make matters worse. It was probably a good thing that the chances of her being stuck alone in a compartment was very slim.

WHY.
Samantha chilling peacefully with her eyes closed listening to the footsteps in the corridor outside wondering who they all belonged to. She heard some hurrying quickly by probably trying to reach a compartment further back. She hear loud foot steps, most likely from the loud little first years. And then there was the gentle footsteps of older students, or the timid younger kids. The slow quite ones intrigued her, she figured they were the footsteps of someone looking for their friends. She heard several of them going past her door, and she didn't pay much heed to them until she heard one come up to her door, and not pass by. She figured they would continue on in a moment, except she heard a small familiar voice and felt her stomach flip.
She debated on keeping her eyes closed because A.) she sounded all weepy and B.) she did not want to deal with this right now. She did how ever, miss her friend, and she had kinda been a huge jerk about things. She opened them, but before she she could say anything she she immediately regretted it. Things things just started spilling out of the other girls mouth and it was overwhelming, so she chose just kind of not acknowledge the. "I uh, missed you too, and I'm sorry." Because while things had happened, it wasn't like she had worked to fix things when they were happening. Even if she had thought at the time that she didn't need to.
The girl's eyes widened slightly "Um, I don't know. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do after school." Thought, that did not sound very appealing to her, and she wondered if the others would think the same.

Right…taking a deep breath Mel got ready to say one final thing but stopped when Sam actually sort of seemed to regard her.
She missed her?
What was this feeling?...relief.
Sammy missed her, that made things feel a little bit more normal now that it wasn’t one sided. ”Sam…did you have a nice summer? I really hope you did I mean mine was boring and I spent most of my time working” she paused for a moment, ”… so what did you do?”
She was trying…it wasn’t much but at least she wasn’t blubbering and crying as much…sure silent tears might have been falling down her cheeks still but these were different they were happier her friend missed had her.
