It goes without saying that everyone's favourite person in the train is the trolley lady. Old, plump, and just as sweet as the food she sells, she can provide you with the sugary delights you desire -- from Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans to Chocolate Frogs to Pumpkin Pasties, it is all there in her trolley! The woman comes around during the middle of the journey and is generally the cause for any traffic jams taking place in the corridor.
When you hear "Anything from the trolley?" be hollered, even from a distance, it would be wise of you to jump up, make sure you have your money in your pocket, and get in the corridor before a long line begins to form. If you are the unfortunate soul that has to deal with an endless line, keep calm and stay put because the wait is certainly worth it. Please make sure you are waiting your turn with patience because the trolley lady is likely to refuse making a transaction with you if she sees you trying to cut in line or pushing people out of the way.
OOC: No one plays the trolley lady, so please role-play receiving snacks and paying on your own.

Hearing comments about if you didn't have any money, no need to steal the cart, Skylar turned at appreciative nods of agreement toward Alyce and others who were intervening. Along with another fellow first year (Aaron) who had joined her and Hattie's compartment before, and apparently knew the trolley thief.
Who got angry?
"Well then, why were you attempting to roll it away from everyone standing on queue??" Basically she couldn't deny it. She was caught red-handed. There were witnesses. Merlin, was this what kids did these days??
Students standing in the queue.....for what? Sure they were standing. JUST STANDING! It didn't seem to her that anyone was interesting in buying food. And she was just starving. She couldn't wait to get to her seat and have a comfy cozy snack. And this girl was just ruining her snack time!
"I was just moving the cart to the front cars--" she said, bringing her hands to her hips. "--away from this place.. with no trolley owner and people standing in queue doing nothing!" Literally nothing.
UHHHHHHHHH!
"People there are hungry" Yes, she was for one. "Seemed to me that no one was missing the trolley here" Not one had twitched their muscle until this girl had stopped her. "I was borrowing the cart--" Wait. "--Does it even belong to someone?" Because I don't see any owner here. This might as well be a free cart. Nope, someone had mentioned money.
She'd just moved a few feet when suddenly the cart jerked. As if she'd appeared out of thin air, a bigger girl stood there, her foot lodged under the front cart wheel.
Amara gave her a puzzled look and when she heard the older girl's accusation, she was annoyed. Who was she? Who does she think she is, calling her a thief? Amara let of an angry grunt. Before she could respond to the girl, another called to her. Something about people in lines. Standing in lines for what? And then a bunch of people appeared out of no where.
WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM ? ? ? ?
Amara was starting to get tensed and angry, everyone was just looking at her, whispering and giving her disapproving looks. One of them even asked her to stop stealing. Now that's what everyone is thinking. Because of this girl!
She was nudged and pulled aside by a tiny figure. Her angry little hands were ready to push away the person but then she saw it was Aaron. The boy from the bookstore. And even he was telling her not to steal. He was giving her a stern look and she knew she didn't deserve it. She couldn't believe what was happening. "I didn't--" she freed herself from his hold. "--and you just believed , you just.. assumed..." She moved away from him. She was hurt. Hurt that Aaron didn't give her the benefit of doubt. Sure they had just met recently and weren't thickest of friends but Amara liked him. He seemed cheerful and friendly at F&B. And he was the first boy she'd met from Hogwarts. They were going to be friends! That's what he'd said. Her mouth twisted, her face now had a downcast expression.
All because of the big girl! She started it. She glared at the girl in front of her. "I--wasn't-- stealing!" she said aloud for everyone to hear. "And it isn't up to you to judge!" Who were they, just branding her as thief!
"Would anyone steal the entire cart? Do you even think?" she shot in the general direction of the accusing crowd. That was thick, even for a little person and this girl looked important. So did the other big girl who asked her not to steal. What's up with these girls? And all these people? If I did want to steal, won't I just take a few pieces and run away?

Oh boy, and this is when things started to get heated.
As the always positive person who really didn't have a negative outlook on anything in life, Aaron didn't like it when people started to become genuinely angry. From the looks of it, Amara genuinely didn't know that you couldn't move the cart. After all, she was a first year and everything, so she didn't know any better.
"Ladies, ladies. Can we all just settle down a bit with this. It's getting out of hand. No need to argue, we're all friends here..."...right? Hopefully everyone would just nod their heads in agreement and move on with the rest of the day as per usual. Hopefully, that at least calmed the crowd a little bit, but Aaron had a strong feeling it would take a lot more to subdue the now angry Amara.
Facing her the boy said in a soothing voice with eyes that were almost hypnotic in a sense, "Amara, no need to get upset over this. How were you supposed to know that you couldn't move this? Let's just calm down, we can go back to my spot in the line, and I'll get you anything you want from the trolley." A brief pause shot through the air. "How does that sound?"
Mel wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted…maybe food wasn’t the answer? The perplexing peculiarity of that was…mystifying. Melbourne herself was doubting the importance of food.
Food was important.
Wasn’t it what she always seemed to want?...Well…sometimes, but right now she felt hollow. Looking up she watched the girl in front of her as she waited in line. ”nothing beats these treats eh?” she asked with a kind smile.
Sure, she’d met Zarina a few times but she wasn’t going to assume that she remembered her or anything. Right now she was just making small talk to avoid the numbness that came with seventh year.
Zarina was noticing this compartment was getting more crowded by the second. She saw some first years who didn't know what they were doing. One was being immature and stealing the trolley with the snacks. Yeah wayyy to be sneaky. She rolled her eyes and snorted at the attempt. "Amateur." she muttered under her breath. The slytherin heard someone talk behind her and it was the girl she met in Diagon Alley.
"Oh hey.." she greeted her with a half wave. "Yeah I actually was deprived all summer from them. My mom and father didn't have storage of wizarding treats only muggle treats." Whenever she wanted a cauldron cake, she replaced it with a ring ding but it wasn't the same. "I missed the pumpkin pasties and cauldron cakes the most. I would get one if someone was taking the trolley away from all of us..." she pointed out the young gryffindor trying to take the trolley.

She regarded Aaron with almost cold eyes when he started to speak again. He was being... diplomatic? Then he turned towards her and switched to a tone that kind of relaxed Amara a bit. "I'm not upset.." she mumbled, "Why should I be? I didn't do anything wrong". At last some one was starting to make sense. She was just miffed that people were so narrow-minded. And she thought Hogwarts would be nice. Is this what people in here are going to be like? WOAH! The thought made her shudder a little. There wasn't anyone around and no signs saying the cart can't be moved. People should post signs if they didn't want it moved!
She was almost composing herself, when Aaron invited her to his spot and offered to buy her anything. Now he is a nice boy! She stepped back towards him again and flashed him one of her broad smiles "That's so sweet of you!" she said taking his hand. "--but you don't have to.." she patter her pocket with her free hand. "I do have some money my mom gave me" See? I don't have to steal for a living. "I'll just join you....." In this queue. And keep standing there for eternity, waiting for the trolley person to come. Her eyes moved from Aaron to the big girl, as if waiting for her to stop them.
