| | Suits of Armour While the castle houses numerous suits of armour, the most impressive collection can be found along the stretch of the second-floor corridor leading to the stone gargoyle. Unlike the other suits scattered elsewhere around the castle that carry swords and spiked balls on chains, these shiny knights hold in their hands a large shield, each with a different House emblem in the centre. These suits guard the way to the headmistress' office.
As you make your way past these suits of armour, you cannot help but get the feeling that you are being watched. With just a quick glance over your shoulder, that feeling will be confirmed instantly. This special set of metal does a whole lot more than just stand stationary in their place. They've been bewitched to shift in position until you have passed along far enough to the next bulk of armour in line. Now that you think about it, you now realize that they are spaced out in a deliberate attack pattern. Whatever you do, don't give them the impression that you are ... up to something.

Cleansies, they saids. Fun, they saids it'd be. Sure. Boooooooooring. Toddles could have been doin whatever Toddles' wishe'ed to do like... eatsing candies or, or, OR talking to the studentsies. But no... Toddles was alone and sweepsing again. Sigh.
He looked up. At least, Toddles gots to clean the great room filled with many suits of armor. Floor first. Sweep. Then suits. Dust. Toddles sighed and continued to move the broomsie back and forth. The floor was already clean and Toddles didn't know why it had to be cleaned again. There were no dusty mites on the floor having a party. Sweep. Sweep. Sweep. Sweeeeep. Swep. Swep. Sweep. Sweeeep.
Toddles continued sweeping until Toddles' broom hit one of the suits of armor and... and.... Sweep. Sweep...... C R A S H!!!!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexis "Lex" Stone Second Year | Joy had been wandering the castle. The sooner she explored everything, the quicker she would find her way around.... this castle sure was huge.
Lost in thought, she found herself walking along the second-floor corridor. She really wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings. Although she should have been, because how was she supposed to know where she was going if she wasn't paying attention?
Joy snapped back to reality as she heard a loud CRASH ahead of her. She yelped in surprise. It was then that she noticed a house-elf was sweeping the floor, and a suit of armor had collapsed next to him! "Oh no!" gasped Joy, and rushed over to the house elf. "Oh, it's okay, it was just an accident! Let me help you!" Joy took out her wand. "Are you hurt?" she asked, her face full of concern as she observed the house-elf. "Reparo!" she whispered, pointing her wand at the pieces of armor on the floor. Would that spell work? She had only just learned it. |

"Reparo!" she whispered, pointing her wand at the pieces of armor on the floor. Would that spell work? She had only just learned it. Toddles opened his eyes to find that the suit of armor was a mess on the floor. Panic ensued. No. No. Toddles did not want to get into troublesies. Not now. Toddles had been good all summer long. Good in Toddles standards. Sure Toddles hads gotten time out only a few times but Toddles was mostly good.
Rubbing handsies together, Toddles glanced at the mess. Toddles wasn't hurt.... Well from what Toddles could sees. Maybe just bruisies but those went away soon. Then a really nice studentsie had come along and checked on poor Toddles. She was very kind. Very, very kind. A big grin lit Toddles' face. The elf's eyes widened when the female student cast Reparo on the pieces of armor. " Thank you, Missus. Toddles is very gratefuls. Missus is too kind to Toddles." Toddles offered her a smile and then hurriedly picked up the broom. " No. Toddles is not hurt, Missus. Toddles is.... probably just has... bruisies."
Toddles glanced up at the student and smiled. " Is Missus okay?" Hopefully she hadn't been hurt either. He didn't know if the suit had hit her.

As Toddles the house-elf grinned widely at Joy, she was relieved. "I'm so pleased you aren't badly hurt," she said, smiling warmly back at him. "But maybe you should get someone to look at those bruises." She was very glad her spell had worked on the armor. "Yes, I'm okay," she confirmed. "Don't worry about me. I was over there down the corridor when the armor fell. I've just been exploring around the castle. It's my first year, and I really do need to find my way around. My name's Joy Williams. And I guess your name is Toddles." She offered the house-elf another smile. |

Toddles owes the Missus for her helps and for nots gettins Toddles in troubles...."
His eyes widened widely when she said she had beens exploring. Explorings? What Toddles wouldnst give to be a studentsies. No choresies, laundrys, dusty miteys parties to cleansies.... Fun. Joy Williams. " Toddles is happy to meets, Missus Williamss," nodded Toddles. With broomsie in hand, Toddles was abouts to head backs to his work when Toddles stopped. " Missus? Explorins... Where dids you go, Missus?" Joy had certainly sparked this house elfie's interest.

Her eyes widened at his next statement. "Oh," she said, awkwardly. "Please don't feel like you owe me anything. I was just trying to help!"
Then, a thought crossed her mind, and her cheeks turned pink. What had she been thinking? Telling a house-elf she had been exploring? How cruel! She knew that house-elves couldn't explore like she could. They had to work all day. Oh, now she felt bad. She decided to keep her mouth shut about these things from now on. "Well..." she continued slowly and carefully, in response to Toddles' question. "I've only been exploring because I'd like to find my way around as soon as possible. I've only been to a few places. Like... er... the kitchens, the Great Lake, and the old battlements."
She stopped before she could say anything more. She didn't want to upset Toddles. |

Toddles eyes widened in wonders at the places that she had been. How exciting to have so much free time to explore and enjoy. He also liked to explore too but mostly got caught up with chores so Toddles had learned to become an expert at dodgings the other elvsies whens they were in the kitchens. He avoided that. The kitchens, the Lake, the battlements... It was a good starts to explorins. " Toddles is glads that Missus has explorins arounds the castle. Toddles woulds suggests that Missus visits the Kitchens and the Arcade." The Arcade was Toddles' favoritist part of the castles, yes.
