There's a calming nature to this area, possibly in place to help with the studying aspect more than anything else. It's also interesting to note that, while sounds can still be heard here, it also seems to be the quietest part of the common room.
There are more walnut tables dotted here than anywhere else in the common room, some sitting by themselves with enough room for one or two and others bumped together to form tables for group studying. Oil lamps sit on each of the tables, illuminating them no matter what hour of the day. Matching chairs with midnight blue coverings are dotted in the same manner as the tables: some in single forms and others around larger tables to seat more people. |
