| | |  Prefects' Compartment
 At the very front of the first passenger car, the prefects have their own compartment. It looks a little different in comparison to the others, allowing for a more open layout. The walls that separate the corridor from the compartments like the rest of the train do not apply here so anyone can walk about and talk to anyone freely. A wall with a door distinguishes this large open compartment from the rest of the normal compartments on the train.
If you are a prefect, this is the place for you to have your end-of-term student leader reflections, led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, and travel in in style. Don't get too comfortable though; remember that you still need to patrol the other cars on occasion, checking in on both your friends and new faces and making sure your peers in the back of the train haven't destroyed the place. If you are not a prefect, it is advised that you do not disturb those within this particular compartment unless you were personally invited or need immediate assistance.

Seven years as a student at Hogwarts and it was finally over. And here he was for his last train ride home. Henry was still a little nostalgic, but excitement for the future greatly outweighed that feeling.
Carrying his cat Nimbus in one arm, he slipped into the prefect compartment with his kneazle following behind him. Looked like he was the first one here, but that was okay. He knew the rest would be along shortly. And then maybe they could talk about the previous term and what they were all going to be doing next year before heading out for patrols and visiting with other friends.

Kitty wasn't going to cry today. She'd cried so much yesterday that now she was just focusing on the good parts of graduating. There was so much ahead, and she was looking forward to all of it. The friends she had made here she would always have and she was going to be optimistic and happy on the train ride back home.
The no longer head girl went into the prefects compartment for the final time. Soon they would be leaving Hogwarts. She tried to avoid thinking that, because otherwise she might have actually started crying despite her intention not to. Instead, she did a very Kitty-like thing. She took out her camera and snapped a picture of the grounds.
"Hey Henry!" she greeted the head boy as sat down, eyeing his cute pets a she did so. "Can we take a selfie?" | |

They said Sixth year wasnt as bad as Fifth year because theres no exam to cram prepare for. What a blatant lie.
The familiar push and pull feeling of leaving Hogwarts/ getting home was in full effect by the time the Gryffindor Ace shuffled into the Prefect compartment, plopping down on a seat with such relief of finally taking a load off. "Henry! Kitty! I'm gonna miss you guys!". And the pull of regret notched up quite a bit in the emotions scale. Imagine coming back the next term without these two who they all have gone through so much for, buddies of his since way back when, before the badges, before his voice dropping even... Heavy on the heart indeed. | |

Etta entered the Prefects’ compartment, unable to believe another term was over. She knew she was going to be back in a couple of months for her final year but still.. she knew she was going to miss Hogwarts.
“Heeeeey.” She greeted them all with a smile, taking a seat next to Henry. She was going to miss him lots but she didn’t want his final train journey to turn into a sob fest so goodbyes could wait until later. And Kitty.. well, she had never really interacted with her outside of classes but she was going to be missed too. And Ace.. the smile on her face widened to a grin as she eyed the best friend’s boyfriend for a moment. He really did make Olivia happy. Anyway, moving on.
“Ready for summer?”

So.. summer was really here now. Kirk entered in the train heading straight for the Prefect's compartment first. Fifth year was nearly over and he'd enjoy his Sixth year momentarily. Summer time in between though well, he'd be making the most of it.
"Hey." He first greeted toward the few already there before finding a spot to sit near. Henry, Kitty, Tenacius, Etta. Cool peeps, just like the rest who most likely were on their way here too. "We going for another selfie?" Since not everyone would be here next year unfortunately.

"A selfie? Without me?" Vivian said as she slid the door open for the prefects' compartment. She had been a little distance from Kirk while she was on her way here from the food trolley. The Slytherin thought that perhaps being there early meant that she had more access to food where not much students were there and they didn't run out of stocks. But now, she was here in the prefects' compartment, cradling food and sweets on her other hand.
Back at that selfie, though. "I wanna join," The blond said, comfortably setting on the space beside Miss Etta. Vivian had been quite busy the entire term, especially with OWLs, that she felt like a terrible friend for not catching up with a few of the older students. "Anyway, hi guys! I have food." And she was willing to share.

Ace came in just as she'd finished snapping the first selfie. "Hey, Ace," she said, smiling as he moved to sit, her eyes on him the whole time. She was really going to miss him. "I'll miss you too. Next year I know I'll be very sorry on the day term starts that I'm not there. Even with all the drama and everything." No need to go into explaining that. They knew. "But I WILL write to you every week."
"Hey Etta," she said as the Hufflepuff came in. "I am ready, how about yourself? I'll miss you, by the way."
Her co-Ravenclaw prefect Henry and Slytherin prefect Vivian came in then, and to Kitty's delight they were bothing about taking another selfie. "Sure! Let's take a group selfie. We'll never forget exactly how we all looked at this time that way."
And she took out her camera again to take the selfie.
