Slightly disheveled and out of breath, the Gryffindor Prefect slid the door open to the compartment with much relief. His pets gave him a bit of an unscheduled work out earlier, and he was afraid that that delay caused him to miss out on the Prefects' gathering.

But it looks like he was the first one there. Cool, he could have the compartment all to himself then, even for a bit. He sat himself near the window and plopped his feet up across the seat, fishing out a packet of jelly slugs he enjoyed so much.

After having said farewell to her parents at the platform, Kitty gathered up her belongings and entered the Hogwarts Express. As she waved goodbye she thought about how this was the last time she'd be getting on the Hogwarts Express to go study at Hogwarts. The thought made her sad but she still had an entire term to enjoy.

Casually slipping on her Head Girl badge (she was already in school robes), Kitty made her way over to the Prefects compartment. She wondered how her schoolmates would react to seeing her badge. She thought the reaction except maybe from one certain Slytherin girl who she'd promised Rooney to be nice to this term.

"Hey Tenacius!" she greeted her crush and co-prefect extra cheerfully. Would he notice the badge on her chest??? She wasn't going to mention it until he did.

After spending sometime with his friends and girlfriend, Kirk went on to the Prefect's Compartment. He knew a few Prefects already, so he wasn't feeling nervous about the meet up. What did get his curiosity though was on who would be Head Boy and Girl and anyone else who became badged with him.

Sliding the door open, Kirk could see he wasn't late at all, but perhaps a bit early. "Hey," First came out of his mouth. "Tenacius," They had some classes together and he knew his Uncle, sorta. And of course, "Kitty." Say, was that.. "Head Girl.. cool. Congrats." He grinned a bit more from spotting the badge. Guess it was a good thing he teamed up with her last year.

Kirk sat down then to ask, "Good summers?" He could fish out a few snacks while chilling with them.

He had cleared out half the packet already-- not a difficult task as he takes in a handful at a time-- when the door slid open "Heyyy Kitty!" he warbled happily. No he didnt notice anything new yet because Kitty has always been the Ravenclaw badged one as far as he could remember, and so far nothing's changed about her general appearance-- jet black hair, pale skin, blue robes, shiny badge. Ravenclaw Goth lock n' loaded.

He was about to ask her on her new co-Prefect when speak of the devil-- guess who showed up. "Kirk!" Surprised he was, of the good kind. Mel is remiss of giving him this update "Congratz man!" he leaned forward just enough to streeeeeetch for a handshake.

"Yeah rockin summer--" he replied with a bop of his head, his overgrown curls almost making a meme out of that statement. Almost. Full meme mode would be when they find out whats under his shirt. IF they find out. "How 'bout you two? How'd you summers go?"

This was her last time she'd been getting on the train to go TO Hogwarts.
It was a momentous occasion.

Noelle, not quite herself lately, was dressed comfortably but cute. She headed into the prefect's compartment first. Her eyes skimmed over the people there for Olly first before grinning and waving at everyone. Then she took a seat by Ace because buddy.

"Hey everyone!" She said brightly and then spotted Kitty's Head Girl badge. "NICE! Congrats!! You'll be a great Head Girl!" She said excitedly with a beam to the girl.

She breathed out and looked around the small compartment. "You all wouldn't think I was weird if I asked for a picture once everyone got in, right? I feel like I gotta document everything this last term." She was being sentimental... very un-Noelleish.

So this was the prefects' compartment. For sure, today wasn't the first time she had been here. Back during her second year on the train ride to Hogwarts, the then twelve year old Vivian came bouncing in the compartment and accidentally sat on then Head Boy Frankie's lap. But that had been three years ago, when she was still very much young.

Today, however, was different. After that reassuring hug from Sky, Vivian forced herself to turn the other way and walk towards the prefects' compartment. The blonde slid the door open, taking a moment to check if she knew anyone from inside, and smiled at everyone. "Hi, everyone," Vivian greeted them and slid the door closed behind her. "Miss Noelle!" The blonde obviously went to sit beside the older Gryffindor because she was literally the only person she knew well enough in this compartment. Yeah, she knew Kitty and Tenacius and even Kirk by name, but they haven't exactly interacted much before.

However, the new Ravenclaw prefect didn't go unnoticed. It used to be Rooney, yeah? The head boy? "Congrats!" Vivian wiggled a finger at Kirk's direction with a grin. And then at Kitty, who happened to be the new Head Girl! What would Skylar Diggory say about this? "You as well, congratulations!" Vivian hoped her wide beam would conceal the slight nerves she was feeling.

No sooner than his question left his lips did Tenacius notice two things happening at once. No three things!-- Four!....

..... Kitty's badge was different. And as everyone there had echoed it, she was now HEAD GIRL. "Whoah!" he sat upright suddenly as he took in the new shiny "Head Girl Kitty! CONGRATZ!!" he beamed and offered her a fist bump. Look at how far they've come eh? Ickles chatting way back when certainly had no idea that a day like today would come.

The other new Prefect, Vivian, he didnt forget-- of course she's from Slytherin never be forgetting them lot-- and he gave her a warm smile to welcome her to the team. But to Noelle though-- ohohoho-- he angled his head at the Lady Lioness beside him, a smirk tugging playfully on his lips. "Group selfie yeah?" Oh he's always game for that. Look he's already jostling for the best position "You got a camera on ya?-- I'll take the picture, I gotta long arm!"

Etta headed towards the prefect compartment, excited for another year to start. As much as she had enjoyed summer and her internship, she was definitely looking forward to her sixth year at school and spending time with her friends again. It was going to be a relaxing year as well since she didn't have any major exams to prepare for either. She gently slid the door open, the brightest smile on her face.

"Kitty, hey! Congratulations. You're going to be a great head girl." Etta grinned at the Ravenclaw as she made her way to an empty seat near the window and sat down. "Congrats to you too, Vivian and Kirk." She turned her gaze towards the other two, excited for them. Etta didn't know Kirk as well as Vivian but she hoped that would change soon. It was going to be a great year, heh. "Noelle and Ace! Hi, guys." She greeted with a wave, smiling at the Gryffindor prefects. Ace.. Oli's kind of-sort of boyfriend. The girl eyed him curiously for an extra second or two before leaning back against her seat, wondering where Henry was.

At first Tenacius didn't seem to recognize her head girl badge. She smiled back at him as he asked how her summer was, answering with "It was actually quite fun, wandering around London at night." And she deliberately caressed the edge of her badge as she talked. Moments later he noticed, though probably not because of her caressing. "I know, right??? I was SO surprised," she said, beaming excitedly as she returned his fist bump. "Thank you. I should probably be a little more reserved though." Reserved like Natalia would have been?

Soon she learned who her fellow Ravenclaw prefect was going to be, and it was a good choice. She liked Kirk and was certain he'd be a good prefect. "Congrats Kirk! And thank you. We'll make an excellent team this year, I know it. Summer was great, how was yours?"

Then the new Slytherin prefect came in through the compartment door. "Hey Vivian, congrats on being prefect," she said, smiling at the Slytherin girl. "How does it feel to ride in this compartment again?" She added that last part teasingly in reference to when she came in and sat on Frankie's lap.

"Thank you Noelle! I was so surprised when I found out," Kitty said, beaming back happily at the Gryffindor prefect. She smiled sympathetically when Noelle asked about taking a photo. She understood what she meant about wanting to document everything. Leaving Hogwarts would be tough. "Sure," she said, moving to sit close to Noelle and the others. "That's a great idea. I'm going to document everything to."

Just as they were getting into position (and now Kitty was wondering who the new Head Boy would be), Etta walked into the compartment in time for the photo. "Hey Etta! Thank you. How was summer? We're about to take a group selfie, join us."

No, Oliver was not late. He had not procrastinated making his way to the Prefect's compartment. And he definitely had not just hidden himself away in the luggage compartment and had a panic attack. Nope, that definitely hadn't happened.

There were a lot of things to stress him about, this being his seventh year and Oliver being particularly afraid of the future. But he wasn't going to think about that. Well, he was going to try his hardest not to think about it while, in reality, not being able to get those incredibly anxious thoughts out of his head. Instead he was going to make his way to the prefects compartment, put on a smile, and pretend everything was fine. And that was exactly what he was doing.

"Hey everyone," he said when he entered. Most of them were exactly the people he was expecting to find there. There was Ace, Etta, Noelle... his person got a smile of course. And Kitty, who had a badge that he secretly thought should have gone to Noelle. Not that he would ever say anything. He was being biased, of course, because he thought Noelle was the most perfect person in the world. But he would still make an effort to be happy for the Ravenclaw girl. And the new head boy who, even though he wasn't year yet, was going to be Henry of course. Of course.

"Congrats Vivian." He managed a real smile for his new co-prefect and wrapped his arm around her shoulders in a side hug. Yeah, working with her was going to be fun.

Oh, were they taking a picture?

Henry was fairly certain he was going to be the last to arrive at the prefect's compartment by the time he made his way down there. He had a few other things he needed to take care of first and he was rather distracted in his thoughts as he made his way down the corridor for his last train ride to Hogwarts. Last. Right. He didn't need to think about that right now.

He went over a few things he wanted to say in his head several times as he walked, and by the time he got there, he wore his typical smile as he entered the compartment. "Hello, everyone! Hope you all had a nice summer." Noting the familiar faces, his eyes soon found the couple new prefects for this year. Kirk and Vivian. "Congrats, you two," he added with a grin.

What were they all doing grouped up like that anyway? Taking a picture? Yeah, Henry needed to get in on that too before they did anything else.

This was neat, chilling with prefects, Kirk supposed. "Yeah?" Kirk returned Tenacius' handshake before smoothly turning it into a bro-fist bump. When asked about his summer, "Mine was cool, earned some money babysitting and seeing my Uncles." He had quite a few after all. Was his summer even better? After unwrapping a Chocolate Frog to chew on, more were arriving in... and did someone say pictures?

Hmm.. "Sure, I don't mind." He answered lazily. He was in a chill mood now. He then smirked a bit at the new prefect ahead of him who arrived. "Same to you, congrats." She was Vivi, right? It was nice to know them. "Hey Etta, thanks. Had a good summer?" Other than their brief venture in the igloo he definitely remembered her from classes and being Levi's girlfriend as well.

Kirk then gave the slytherin dude a sup nod as he entered with ah.. "Head Boy, Henry. Thanks and congrats." He gave a thumbs up to his other fellow #TeamAvenger partner from last year. "Think that's everyone, yeah?" Looks like snap time.

OLLY WAS HERE!!!
Noelle beamed when her person arrived. She thought she was going to have to go run and get him. Find him. He was probably with Tino. seeing as she didn't know Tino was NOT here this term, ahem.

There wasn't any space beside her for him to sit down so that was okay. Viv got a big grin and a hug. The two girls had become quick friends after the trophy room incident last term.

Then Henry showed up. HEAD BOY! Noelle grinned. "Congrats Henry!!" She said excitedly. Kitty and Henry. Head boy and Girl. "You two will be great ones."

Okay. Were they missing anyone else?? "Here's my camera Ace. You and your long arms can handle that right?" Okay so technically it was Noah's camera that she was borrowing. But... he didn't mind.

"Lets all get together? Act like we love each other?" She said with a giggle as she scrunched up to make room for everyone.

Oh dear Merlin! More and more people were entering the compartment. Vivian didn't mind this at all, but she was still trying to get herself used to being part of this group that she might have been a little awkward than usual today.

Vivian smiled back at Tenacius, mentally associating him with Olivia. Yeaaaah, she definitely knew about them and the dates and all that! A tiny, almost inaudible giggle escaped the blonde's lips as she remembered what the Gryffindor girl said. And... who said group selfie?!

Then another student leader entered the compartment, which made Vivian wiggle a little on her seat. "Hiii, Miss Etta!" That nickname was going to stick, apparently, whether the badger liked it or not. "Thank you!" The Slytherin was starting to get hyped up now that most of the student leaders pouring inside were familiar people. At least it sort of diffused the awkward air around her from earlier.

Her attention was then drawn back to the Head Girl. Vivian was slightly aware that her bestie may not be that fond of Kitty, but she was going to put that aside for now. "Thank you," the blonde replied with a smile. Was she supposed to call her Miss Kitty, too? The same way she addressed everyone else in this compartment? That would require a lot more pondering and weighing of ideas. But apparently, Kitty remembered her sitting-on-Frankie's-lap incident, which made Vivian blush a little. "Feels the same, I guess? Nothing's changed... but I don't plan on sitting on anyone's lap anymore, that's for sure." She now had the privilege to sit here with them, thank you very much! She was comfortable with her seat at the moment.

Oooooh, yay! Her co-prefect was here! Vivian beamed as Olly entered and returned his hug with a gentle squeeze, too. "Thank you!" She managed a grin at him. "So we don't just rule the playground, but also the rest of Slytherin?" The blonde hoped he still remembered their little play at the playground four years ago, when he was Sir Oliver and she was Madame Vivian. Fun times, indeed, and there were a lot more to come now that they were to work together.

But then the Head Boy appeared, and it was no other than Henry. Of course, who else would it have been? "Thanks!" Vivian said, also offering a smile to the older student, but then wiggled her finger at him. "And congrats to you as well, Mr. Head Boy." Bet he'd do awesomely as their ring leader of some sort! Then she looked at Kirk and smiled at him, too. "Thank you!" They were both new to this prefect thing, so Vivian hoped she'd get to work and know him more this term.

Oh, Miss Noelle. Weren't you just the cutest? So she was the one who initiated the group selfie thing, which Vivian didn't mind. In fact, she was totally down for it! The older Gryffindor got a quick hug, too. Apparently, trophy rooms brought people together. But... act like they loved each other? That definitely made Vivian giggle, but she moved closer too so that they'd all be seen for the photo.

Of course, her signature Fairfield smile was always ready for the camera. Snap away, yeah? Yeah!

'Wandering at night around London was fun.' a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips trying to figure out if Kitty was joking or not.... and apparently she wasnt "Depends on your concept of fun I suppose." he chuckled. Her statement can mean so many things and deets like those probably should be discussed between old friends, so hold that thought Goth Girl. As for being 'reserved' "Pffft, you do you Kitty, be sensible yeah, but then again when werent you? Unpopular opinions doesnt count." in case thats what she meant. That badge was never a glorified gag order and she shouldnt make it that way now.

Kirk on the other hand went the summer job route "Cool!" the Curly Top nodded his head. He wanted to ask how he and a certain headstrong bestie of his was coming along-- but again, personal matters can be tabled for later.

And finally the other Prefects have started arriving. "Heya Etta!" that rhymed hehe "Hey there Oliver!" that too, wow he is on a roll today. But then Henry waltzed in and yep theres the new badge, this one he's been guessing all summer "Was there any doubt-- Congratz Henry!" he said has he offered a high five at his ol Hufflebud.

And yeah selfie time! He took the camera from Noelle and faced the lens towards themselves in his outstretched arm, getting his jokey smile on when he paused and looked back at his fellow Gryffie "Dont we love each other already?" he scoffed jokingly. Was there drama he wasnt aware of? Eh not now, now is making sure he's totally front and center because he has the camera hah! "Alright everybody compress! Ready?? Say PEEVES!!"
