The floor of the magically concealed platform at King's Cross Station is, as usual, polished and spotless. Coming through the barrier hidden between Platforms Nine and Ten, the first thing you notice is that the old scarlet train is releasing steam from its pistons in preparation for the long journey ahead. The mid-day sun is shining through the glass ceiling above, surely a good sign of the school year to come.
It is now time to say your last farewells to your mum, your dad, your siblings, etc. until the first major holiday of the school year. Do you have all of the items you think you will need to survive the new term -- your textbooks, clean underpants, your wand, everything you could possibly think of? Now would be a good time to check. Don't dilly dally, however, for the ten-minute warning whistle just blew. The Hogwarts Express will be soon leaving the station and heading straight for Hogsmeade Station. Hurry on up and climb aboard before you are be left behind!
OOC: Here you may play your student character and anyone that is associated with them/students played by other members.
Kitty led her parents through the barrier into Platform 9 and three quarters. She smiled and waved at friends and acquaintances who she recognized on the other side, but didn't stop to converse with anyone as there would be more time for that later. "I'll miss you guys," she said, turning to hug her mother and father in turn.
"We'll miss you too Kitty," her dad Aaron said, hugging her back.
"One last term," Emily said, smiling as she fought back a tear. She was so proud of her daughter. "Then you can join the Ministry like me. I'm so proud of you, head girl."
Kitty glanced left and right to make sure no one had heard that. She wasn't wearing her badge yet and wanted it to be a surprise. "Thank mom," she said, though not really she'd want to join the Ministry. 'I'll write every other week, k?"
And with that she waved good buy to her parents and boarded the Hogwarts Express.
Josie came running up, eyes sparkling with excitement and her brown curls bouncing behind her. "Daddy! Come on hurry!" She glanced back for just a split second before turning back her eyes wide at the train. She was finally here! Finally her turn to go to Hogwarts and have her own memories. She started to run towards the train as she felt something jerk her back, "DAAAAAAD."
She groaned and tried to pull away from her father's trillionth hug.
Brodie sighed and let her go, "You're sure about this, Jo-Jo?" Homeschooling was still an option... A wonderful and much much better idea to him. He sighed as the eleven year old frowned at him, stomping her foot slightly and nodded her head violently, "You know you won't be seeing me, or Mommy, or Gabe, or..." He blinked as the young girl reached up and covered his mouth, cutting him off.
"Like it or not Daddy I'm getting on that train."
And that was final.

Taylor laughed and smiled at her eldest. "Come on., Brods... dont be like that..." She rolled her eyes and smiled at JoJo. "Have fun and be good or else i will send you a howler." Taylor winked and tried to get Brodie to let the girl breath. "She will be back come the holidays, dear, you will be fine." She looked at the girl. "Pay attention in class. Follow the rules... but not all the time... but dont get in trouble. Do your homework and study. Make sure you do well... but most of all have fun. Oh and remember, no matter what house you get, we will always love you." Taylor smiled and went for a hug, hopefully able to get one between all of Brodie's clinging to the poor girl.
Rachel rolled her eyes at Brodie though she was trying not to show that she felt the same way. She kept stroking her daughter's hair. "Josie, dont forget to write me ok, sweetie? Be good... and remember that if you dont like it there, you can always come home and be homeschooled, ok? There is no shame to being homeschooled... I was completely homeschooled until my last 3 years and your daddy was homeschooled all but two...
so we can totally homeschool you if need be..." Yep, she was still stroking her daughter's hair and hugging her.

Brodie looked at Taylor and looked at Josie, not able to hide his look of worry, "Your mother is right, dear, there's nothing wrong with homeschooling. And we just want you happy." He reached for one more hug, "We love you, and we want you to be safe. Stay out of trouble, and make lots of friends." He pulled back and looked at her, "And we love you so so much." He didn't mean to say it that many times but it was true.
She looked up at all of them and sighed, giving her father and her mother another hug before turning to Taylor and hugging her with a smile, "Thank you, Mom. I love you too." She smiled up at her and looked over at Rachel, "Momma, this is what I want... I want to go to Hogwarts... You, Dad, and Mom have always talked about your memories from school and I want to go have those kinds of things... Plus I'm a big girl,
I promise I'll take care of myself." She hugged her again as well

She sighed. "You two, stop it, ok? She will be fine!" She frowned at them then smiled at Josie. Taylor held out a small bag. "I know it isnt much but here... I made you some of your favorite goodies... Your dad's pacing drove me nuts... I kicked him out of the kitchen."
Rachel shot a glare at Taylor and hugged her daughter again. "I know that you are a big girl but that doesnt mean you have to leave us!" She frowned and kept hugging, a bit clingy like Brodie/ Tears were in her eyes. She kinda accidentally not really accidental pushed Taylor away from her daughter a bit while hugging Josie.

She looked up at Taylor slightly puzzled at her seeming annoyed with her father, "You aren't worried like them?" She tilted her head slightly, not upset but still confused by that idea. She looked up at her Mom and hugged her back every time, "But I need to go to school don't I? You and Daddy always talk about me going off to school... Isn't it important for me to do it?"
Brodie went to Taylor's side and gently rubbed her back, trying to not cling to his daughter, truly he was... But it was hard... Maybe she'd understand when it was time for the twins to go off.

Taylor blinked and looked at Josie, "Of course, Im worried, sweetie." She sighed and looked away. "I... Im going to let you two have some alone time with JoJo..." She kinda felt weird being here with how Rachel was acting.
Rachel glared at Taylor, "Dont mind her, Josie, love." She hugged her daughter and nodded, "Yeah... school is very important but... Im going to miss you... write often, ok? Do good in school. I love you so much."

Brodie looked at Taylor then at Rachel frowning at her, "Why are you acting like this?" Yes, worry fine... But not trying to shove Josie's step mother... Had Mitchie been there he wouldn't have done the same. They were all family, and Josie consider Taylor just as much her parent as she did Rachel.
Josie blinked and looked up at Taylor immediately pulling away from her mother and clung to her, "NO!" She frowned, "I want you here... You're my mom too after all." She smiled up at her, hugging her as tightly as she could, "Please don't leave..."
