Honeydukes is the greatest (and only) candy shop in Hogsmeade that never has a quiet day. Knowing that the place is famous for its sugary delights that are too scrumptious to resist, students and adults alike flock to this shop to satisfy their sweet tooth. If you were to peek through the window, you will witness shelves full of hundreds of candy jars and boxes as well as a large crowd of customers greedily snatching them before they all run out.
A million coloured boxes and wrappers capture your attention the moment you step inside the shop. The walls are adorned with green shelving, the counters hold jars and boxes of different candies, and there is even a station for trying out candy samples from chocolate frogs to jelly slugs and anything in between. Feel free to explore the entirety of the stop; just refrain from going down to (or coming out of...) the cellar where crates and boxes full of candy are stored.

There were already plans of gong home for the holiday break, especially because mama was going to have her baby brother, and that had given Stasya even more of a reason to head down to Hogsmeade when the notice of a Hogsmeade weekend had gone up. There were gifts to get, and just stocking up to be done because her chocolate stash had disappeared awfully quickly since term had started. Therefore, a trip to Honeydukes was necessary, even if she felt like mama and hopefully Aunt Nastya if she came to visit probably wouldn’t want candy. She didn’t think it would be turned down, just that she probably needed to get other gifts too. Or make them, but that could be done back at Hogwarts. If she had an idea, and if all the weird things going on at school didn’t distract her too much. Plus the other things that weren’t going away no matter how hard she tried to listen to what Professor Hirsch had said and be strong.
Either way, her first stop had been the sweet shop, already thinking about maybe going somewhere to get hot cocoa once she was done there. It had been a cold walk, even with her sweater and everything. But candy first, and she headed straight for the chocolate frogs before she looked at anything else.

So far this term had been met with a lot of studying, a lot of gymnastics and a ton of snacking. Cassie loved her baked goods, anyone that knew her even just a little bit knew this. Cupcakes, cookies, brownies, all the yummy things were on the top of her food chart. The blonde fifteen year old didn't even care that she had to work extra hard to keep from gaining all the weight that came with eating some much junk food.
It was her love of all things sweet that had her stepping into Honeydukes today. No trip to Hogsmeade was ever complete without a trip to the candy store. Grabbing one of the small baskets near the front door, Cass made her way down the first aisle already grabbing a few sugar quills along the way.

As was always expected during Hogsmeade weekend, there were students pouring in to get some candy. Maisie certainly had her hands full like always during this time, but nooooope she was not complaining AT ALL. Despite the fact that she was now 50, she was still as young at heart as ever.
"Well, hello there!" she said cheerfully as two girls walked into the shop. She was in the middle of topping up the Chocolate Frogs since they sold out so quickly... Not being as careful as she should, she ended up knocking a bunch of them off of the display. "Ugh, I've done it again." BAD MAISIE. When would she learn to be less clumsy???
At this point in her life it was probably never going to happen. "Sorry!" she said to the girl who was standing right by the mess of Chocolate Frogs.

Derf had no particular agenda this Hogsmeade weekend. Holiday gifts were, for the most part already sorted so his stroll through the snow covered streets was a bouncy one. Although he WAS a bit wary as he passed by a particular alley on his way to Honeydukes, wondering for a moment if the boggart that had appeared there last year would show up again, but for the most part the Hufflepuff was carefree.
Ruffling his hair free of some of the powdered snow, Derf stepped into the sweets shop and instinctively made his way over towards the chocolate frog display because 1) they were his favorite and 2) his suppy was running low. And, well, if there was a third option to be had it was that he needed to increase his collection in either tradeable cards or NEW ones. "Stasya, hey!" he chirped upon seeing his friend as he came bounding to her side.
And just in time for it to rain chocolate frogs? What?
Peeking up at the shopkeeper, Derf bent down and collected a small armful of the confections. "I'll help!" Although he was likely to simply purchase all the ones he was picking up, let's be honest.

Gaston was getting excited about the upcoming holiday season! Things were going to be so much better this year, now that he was on speaking terms with his dad again. His parents were coming in from France, and his bandmates might be dropping by sometime. He was looking forward to sharing his traditions with his new little family, but Merlin, he was going to need a bigger house!
The dark-haired Frenchman was all smiles as he entered Honeydukes. He needed to replenish his stash of candy he kept on-hand for the students, and who knows? He might find something extra while he was here. He perused the displays, picking up a few chocolate frogs as he went. He'd also need to get some truffles to restock the candy dish in his office, and... his eyes fell to a display of fudge. Maybe he should pick some of that up too... his dad would probably love getting it as a Christmas present!

Hogsmeade weekends were loooads of fun! And they were even more fun now that Emmeline had somewhere cool to go to over the holidays -- back to Cami's house. Last year, she'd been all sad and stuff stuck in Gryffindor Tower with the few other lions who'd stayed in the castle for the holidays. Soo she'd come into Honeydukes to celebrate the almost-here first Christmas with her guardian, mhm.
Plus, she was running out of chocolate frogs. And that would be the worst thing EVER so Honeydukes was totally a necessary stop. Yup. It had nothing to do with the second year being all excited to see what new sweets the shop might have out for the season, or looking for prank sweets that weren't too terrible. The last ones would be for James if he decided to wake them all up in the middle of the night or something. The thought of a friendly prank war with James brought a small smile to the twelve-year-old's face as she bounced into the shop.
Before she'd even looked at the shelves, though, she noticed that there was some new fudge out and stuff with samples!! Free sweets were totally the best kind ever, so Emmeline bounced right over -- and finally noticed that her Head of House was already standing by the display. She gave him a biiig grin and called, "Hiiii, Professor!" out over the noise. Complete with a friendly wave, in case he somehow didn't see her standing a few feet away from him. With a piece of the sample fudge she'd picked up and instantly been distracted from waving in the air.

“Hello!”, Stasya had said brightly to the shopkeeper lady as she’d continued on her way over to the chocolate frogs. Plus, she’d thought about maybe getting some fudge and truffles and maybe some sugar quills. Those weren’t chocolate, of course, but they were good for when she was bored while studying and didn’t want to get chocolate on her textbooks. Except, there was the slight distraction of chocolate. Chocolate frogs, which had taken a lot of convincing from her friends before she’d decided she wasn’t actually hurting any frogs. Friends like Derf, who had suddenly appeared by her side almost like she’d summoned him. O_O Or maybe she did, but that’d be awfully weird.
“Hi Derf!,” she said brightly back to him, even as suddenly they’d been practically buried in frogs. It had sort of seemed that way, and brought her back to wondering if her thoughts somehow were summoning things even as she’d looked over as the shopkeeper had apologized. That and Derf had begun picking the packages up off the floor around them. She was pretty sure he wasn’t just being helpful. Head a candy supply to probably refill too after all.
First, she felt like she had to reply to the shopkeeper lady, even as she’d knelt to gather up the fallen frogs too. “It’s okay. Nobody got hurt or anything.” She didn’t think chocolate frogs could get hurt. She really hoped they didn’t because otherwise eating them would be really awkward.

With a sigh, Maisie set about starting to clean up the mess of Chocolate Frogs. Fortunately they didn’t ALL fall off of the display. There was the added bonus in the fact that they weren’t loose candies. If that had been the case, most of their stock would be suddenly deemed worthless for consumption.
”Thank you, my dears, she told the two helpful students (Derf and Stasya) with an appreciative smile. ”Take as much as you want as there’s plenty to go around.”

Gaston was distracted from the candy displays when he saw one of his ickle Lion cubs standing nearby. His bright blue eyes lit up when he saw who it was. "Hello, Miss Sparkes," he greeted, returning her wave with one of his own. The big grin on her face made him laugh a little. It was nice to see her happy! Or acting happy, as the case may be... Between the events of the summer and the incident in Hirsch's class (not to mention the detention from Paul), he was really worried about her!
Thinking of all she'd been through made him sad. He shook his head to clear the bad thoughts and pretended to be interested in the fudge display for a moment until he could look back at her without his face betraying too much of his emotions. "What flavor fudge is that?" he asked, gesturing toward the sample she had. "Maybe you can help me pick out a Christmas present for someone..." Though he didn't say whose present it was... somehow he doubted she would like the idea of his father getting a present! "If you were going to give somebody fudge, which flavor would you pick?"

Patrick walked in marveling at all of the candy everywhere. He missed having candy stores all around him as when he was back home in Kentucky. But coming down here every now and then was really fun and exciting. He looked over at the walls perusing some of the fudges. He loved peanutbutter fudge himself, but wouldn't turn down a piece of fudge ever. There were people everywhere, but it didn't necessarily seem crowded like some of the places he had been in his life. He actually didn't mind this kind of crowd.

Fiyero was usually excited for Hogsmeade weekends, but this time the combination of his rapidly-approaching OWLs and recent events at Hogwarts had him feeling unusually sullen. He supposed his first stop of the day was Honeydukes, since he had to replace his entire candy stash again. It was bad enough having his cousin steal his candy, but this time it had been destroyed when the Gryffindor dorms were ransacked! Maybe he should ask Headmistress Hawthorne if there was some sort of complicated runic box he could use to hide his candy? He needed to talk to her about extra help in Ancient Runes anyway.
He wandered through the store, picking up various items as he went. Some chocolate frogs, every flavor beans, jelly slugs, a few pepper imps... that should do it. He was headed back to the front of the shop when he noticed a munch younger boy he'd seen around the school but never actually talked to. "Hi," he said. "Patrick, right?" Merlin, he hoped he hadn't got this kid's name wrong!

Patrick turned around at the sound of his name, it wasn’t often that the first year was called out by name. He was still trying to meet all of the people so he could make all of the friends. “Oh,” He nodded his head, he had seen the other boy, but didn’t necessarily remember his name off hand. ”Yeah, I’m Patrick. Hate to say I don’t remember your name.” He sheepishly smiled hoping that the older boy wouldn’t mind. He figured that in most cases people didn’t expect you to know every one your first year. He glanced at the boys haul and noticed a few of the candies that weren’t local to Kentucky and figured he should grab a few.

Fiyero was a little surprised when Patrick said he didn't remember his name; then he realized that he must've been so distracted that he forgot to introduce himself. Yeah, nice going, idiot! he silently berated himself. He chuckled sheepishly. I'm Fiyero Jones, fifth year Gryffindor," he said, shifting his candy to one hand so he could offer the younger boy a handshake. "So did you lose any candy when the dorms were ransacked? Or are you just shopping?" If Patrick also lost a candy stash, he really felt for this kid! The Slytherin dorms were hit way before the Gryffindor ones, so if he was grumpy without his stash, he couldn't imagine how much worse it was for the other houses. This was longer than anybody should ever have to go without candy!

He looked down at his hands, he had a little bit of fudge. He had lost his last few pieces in the destruction of his dorm, but most of his clothing had been destroyed, he was pretty upset about that. "i only lost my last few pieces." he shook the fudge that was in his hand. He couldn't believe that had happened actually. Everyone had a fun sleepover in the common room, but really it wasn't that fun. "Good to meet you, Fiyero. Did you loose a lot of candy in the ransack?"
This whole year had been pretty weird. He had been old by his parents to expect odd things to happen, but some of these just seemed really bad. He wondered what was really going on this year. There were people sitting in on classes, people writing on the walls, really what more could happen?
Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll
Fiyero smiled, nodding slightly. Talking to Patrick was improving his mood by a lot! "Likewise," he said. He was glad to hear that the younger boy hadn't lost much candy, but his expression darkened a little at the question. "Almost my entire stash," he replied, "Well, all but the few pieces my cousin stole anyway." He was always doing that! Thank goodness his cousin was graduating this term; then maybe he could keep his candy.
But enough of that! On to a happier subject... Fiyero's eyes dropped to the fudge Patrick was holding. "Good choice!" he said, nodding toward the fudge. "This place has the best fudge! Have you tried the peanut butter flavor yet?"

Patrick frowned. Thinking of losing his entire stash made him a bit sad for the older boy. He heard him ask about trying the fudge. ”Oh yeah, I tried it last time we came down, but my mama had made a bunch of fudge for her students so I got the left overs.” He thought about how his friends back home were and what they might be doing this year, maybe he’d get to play some baseball or something this summer with some of his old friends when he brought himself back to the conversation. ”My Mama likes to bake a lot of her own candies and treats, sent me a whole parcel of them. Any other favorites?”

Kirk had entered into the sweet shop with a little mission to.. well, it was self-explanatory. Considering how close his O.W.L examinations were it didn't seem likely he would have time to head to Hogsmeade, yet here he was. He went through the aisles considering what to get for himself and Mel. She had been a little under the weather lately so a few Chocolate Dragons could help. Hmm.. what else could he get then.
