| | Greenhouses Image by: Pixie The Greenhouses are all kept neat and tidy by Professor Myers. Each one is evenly spaced out in their residing spot outside of the castle. There are five greenhouses, all of them done up to Professor Myer's idea of organization, which carefully follows past organization of the greenhouses with just a few changes. The air is a little crisper out here, students.
Greenhouses one through three are open to student aid and experimentation. If you're careful and confident, you can feel free to tend to the Venemous Tentaculas in Greenhouse Three or engage in a playful tug-of-war with the Devil's Snare in the Greenhouse Two. If you traipse through each greenhouse, you will identify almost every sort of magical plant that has ever been taught at Hogwarts. Bubotubers, puffapods, fanged geraniums, biting toadstools, flesh-eating shrubs, and so on..... and that's not even mentioning the assortment of Muggle flowers in Greenhouse One!
Each greenhouse has little shelves for cute or ordinary pots, as well as racks of tools and any other necessities you may need in the large corner cabinets. There's plenty of lab tables for setting up your own tinkering station, and sinks to clean up in too. Don't forget to add to the compost pile behind the greenhouses when you're done with your trimming! OOC: Here's a basic guide of what you might find in each greenhouse; please remember to play realistically based on your character's age and skill level! Current Listing of Plants Available to Student Care/Experimentation Greenhouse One: the basics- Any and all mundane flowers

| For Kate/Paul Teapot Occamy| gryphons&giraffes&goats,OH MY | chaser of the truth | flutiful❧ The usually cheerful Hufflepuff was not having a very good day. She felt horrible knowing that she was being irresponsible and she had managed to scare off her best friend which only made things worse. Right now Isa was convinced that she was a terrible person for doing those things. In her upset state, Isa had grabbed pillows and blankets from her dorm and dragged them out to the greenhouses. Plants made her calm and happy. In one of the greenhouses Isa found a workbench in the back of the greenhouse and piled the pillows and blankets under it. Having constructed herself a soft nest of pillows and blankets, Isa curled up into a ball, covered her whole body with a blanket, and started sobbing into a pillow. Why did she have to do and say stupid things? Why was she being so irresponsible? She knew how disappointed Derf was with her and she was disappointed with herself. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Careless, that's what she was. She hated that she was being careless where she should have been responsible and she felt bad about upsetting Derf. Being in the greenhouse surrounded by plants where it was unlikely people would find her for the time being was sort of relaxing though. It was nice, being buried in blankets back here. All the plants and blankets in the world couldn't fix all the stupid things she had done though. Tears ran down Isa's face into the pillow as all of the negative thoughts flowed through her head. What an odd sight it would be for anyone who happened to notice the sobbing pile of blankets on the floor under a workbench in the greenhouse. She was just going to stay here forever.

Paul would have thought the sight of a girl sleeping in his greenhouse buried under blankets and pillows an odd sight, but he didn't quite notice Isa yet. He was too busy making his rounds before he went to sleep in each of the greenhouses, just to make sure that everything looked in order. Greenhouse Two, and he pretty much barged in, watered one of the rather frail looking plants, and was about to be on his way when.....
He saw the pillows O_____O "Um...hello? Who's there?" He asked softly as he stepped closer, wand in hand, though he was almost 100% sure this was a student seeking the privacy and solace of the greenhouses.

He asked softly as he stepped closer, wand in hand, though he was almost 100% sure this was a student seeking the privacy and solace of the greenhouses. Isa wasn't sleeping so much as crying. The blanket and pillow nest was more for comfort and privacy. Here in the greenhouse it was unlikely that she would be disturbed by anyone who she didn't want to find her for now. It was nice here. She liked having a quiet space where she was free to reflect on her own thoughts with out the distracting noise of other people, and she was surrounded by plants. The plants had a calming effect on Isa. As much as the extroverted Hufflepuff loved being around people, sometimes she just needed to be alone. Tears were still flowing from her eyes and her chest hurt from all the crying and sadness. She felt like such a terrible person right now.
What was that? Someone was here. Isa listened to the voice and determined that it was probably Professor Myers. If the herbology professor came closer to the pillow pile, he would be able to hear the sobs of the distressed Hufflepuff girl. She would have to say something in response to the question. "I'm not here." By which she meant I want to be alone but I also really need someone to talk to so if you would actually stay and talk to me despite my claims that I want to be left alone that would be much appreciated. Whatever happened, Isa wasn't planning on going anywhere anytime soon unless somebody coaxed her out.

Well Paul actually snorted! "By the very nature of the statement, I would have to contest that fact, Miss..." he thought he knew the voice, but he stepped closer and...kneeled down and pushed a pillow aside. Yes, it WAS Isa. "Isa. Why in the world are you laying on the cold HARD DIRTY ground? You have a very warm bed in the Hufflepuff dorm. AND it's almost past curfew, and I really do not want to take points from you. Let me escort you back to the badger den..." he said softly. "Come on. You can tell all about your woes on the way."
Paul knew Regina would have been harsher, and perhaps would have taken points right away, without much explanation. But Paul could tell something was wrong. "Stop that crying for now, m'dear. Come on." He whispered.

It was two days after Emmeline had been one of the students to discover the Blood Bird drawn on the ceiling above the bulletin board on the ground floor. She had held off most of her sleuthing and sneaking around for two WHOLE days, but she figured that that was long enough.
She had a prime suspect, based mostly on Derf's instincts about Dark lords and such, and she was eager to start proving to people how wrong they were about the Herbology professor. Even if she had some lingering doubts about that theory herself, planted by older students and by the Hufflepuffs she'd talked to when writing an article about Professor Myers for the yearbook at the end of last term. Still, she couldn't just NOT investigate and the Blood Bird hadn't left much to go on at the crime scene itself. So she was here at the greenhouses to look for something that could be used to hurt rodents and do...horrible things like that.
Plus, the Blood Bird had been fairly well-drawn for something painted with BLOOD, 'cause people had been able to tell that it WAS a bird. And everrrrrryone knew that Professor Myers was into art and all that, mhm. See, it was suspicious. Totally suspicious enough to warrant a loooonnnng search of the greenhouses after dark when nobody was around, yup.
Not that it was dark out yet, but it was getting pretty close to it and Emmeline wanted to get started. She paused on the path facing several greenhouse doors and wondered which one she should search first. She'd have to break into search the professor's actual OFFICE too, of course, but she figured that that would be WAY harder than looking in the greenhouses...

| don't mind us *whistles* Yay, Hamlet! • Cathopper • Disney Fanatic • I was normal once... The plan was to get in and out as quickly as possible before Professor Myers saw him.
Simple, right?
Flynn quietly slipped inside the greenhouse and beelined towards the plain-jane red roses. He looked around, making sure nobody could see him, and he began using the severing charm to cut some of the flowers away from the plant itself. He figured twelve roses would make a big enough bouquet to give Felicity whilst he asked her on a date to Hogsmeade.
He was trying to hurry so he could get out of here, but just as he was working on sixth rose, he aimed his wand a tiny bit off, causing the charm to cut a rather large gash on his right-hand thumb. "Dammit." He dropped all five roses he was holding in that hand as he looked at the wound.
Simple. HA!

Simple. HA! Normally, Paul didn't investigate when he saw students go into his Greenhouses. He trusted them to be behaving responsibly, doing homework, or merely spending NICE time with the plants.
But it was the look on Flynn's face before he had entered the Greenhouse that made Paul.... more than curious.
He had been working in his garden in the blistering wind; his pale face was windburn and his eyes behind his glasses were a bit watery. Still, he was sweating, and he wiped his forehead with the back of his gloved hand, a spade in hand as he peeked into Greenhouse One.
....... "What in the world did you DO?!" Paul asked as he rushed forward, seeing the blood from a MILE AWAY PRACTICALLY.

The first instinct for Flynn was to R U N when he heard Professor Myers voice, but instead, he froze. He could outrun the old man, suuuuure, IF the old man wasn't near the greenhouse exit. He was caught redhanded, and he had no escape plan in place. Oh merlin, help me, I promise I'll behave next time. "You see, Professor," he started talking, "I - ummm, well." Errr. "Oh, would you look at the time!" He looked at his imaginary watch. "I should get going. I have things to do, people to see, homework to complete. Busy, BUSY day." He kicked the flowers under the nearest table, hoping to get it out of view, before attempting to casually waltz on out of the greenhouse.

Paul used his wand pull Flynn BACK towards him before the boy could get far. "You are BLEEDING. Clearly you need the Hospital Wing, don't you? Merlin---what did you DO?" he asked, again, expecting an answer this time, Mr. Kowalski.
He had not yet noticed the disposed flowers. He was more concerned about the boy's HAND. "But since you're in SUCH a hurry, I have to wonder what you've done wrong," he wiggled his eyebrows in a suspicious fashion.

The look on Flynn's face could kill as he was pulled right back beside Professor Myers. Oh C'MON OLD MAN! "It's not that bad," he said, downsizing that situation. He was still applying pressure to his thumb with his free hand. Did this man always care too much? No WONDER the Hufflepuffs were little babies because they were babied. "I cut my thumb?" Was that not obvious? "I did nothing wrong." He was innocent until proven guilty. He furrowed his eyebrows in a judge-y fashion when the Professor wiggled his.
Don't you see the halo round his head, Myers? INNOCENT.

| We have a present for Paul <3 not throwing away my shot | Slytherpuff | roll for initiative | woof you ❤
Oliver had been working on something all semester and it was finally done. It had taken a lot of research in the library, actually. It had been a lot harder than he thought it would be, though he had known that it wouldn't be easy. But as soon as he'd gotten the idea in his head, he hadn't been able to get it out. He'd known that he wanted to give Professor Myers a present when he graduated. And it made sense to give him a painting, because that was sort of Oliver's thing.
He made his way to the greenhouse instead of Professor Myers' office. He thought be might be able to find him in there, and if he couldn't he could always make his way to his office. He wasn't quite ready yet anyway. The painting was in his bag, magically shrunken to make it easier to carry. He took it out and tapped it so it returned to its regular size. There, it was almost done. He took some paper out of his bag to carefully wrap it so it would look like a proper present.
