| | |  Act 2: The Quarrel & The Worm
 Once Asha, Althea, Amata, and Sir Luckless went through the chink in the wall, the curtain was drawn shut and the intense music that had been playing while the creepers were making their selection and the chaos that followed came to an end. The theatre is left pitch black and silent.
When the curtain opens again moments later, the wall that separated the garden from where everyone had been before is no more. In its place is a wide space filled with various rare herbs, fruits, and flowers. A few creatures poke their heads out of the bushes, but in the end go about their business. Ahead is a sunlit path that seemingly leads to the bottom of a high hill where an obstacle awaits.
The quartet then make their appearance, tension filling the air...

If the first act went stellar, Asha!Skylar was confident that subsequent acts would go even better. She was more comfortable now with acting in front of the crowd, and honestly, it felt almost as if she was still rehearsing her lines back in her dormitory. Only difference was she was all dressed up, but she was good with dressing up.
They had just agreed to reach the fountain together, united, then Flynn!Sir Luckless had showed up and now she was standing there with Altheda by her side, angrily staring at Amata!Jessa.
"Why did you bring him with you, Amata? What were you thinking?"

It was a false belief. The quick exit from the stage at the end of the last scene and the wait for the curtains to open for scene two did NOT quiet the pounding in her chest. Only difference now was the anxiety was actually filled with....adrenaline. The first Act hadn't tanked as far as she could tell and the play was progressing. She was ACTUALLY doing this and the fear of forgetting her lines was SLOWLY--very slowly--slipping away.
As the curtains raised to reveal them in the garden, Jessa looked to Skylar and Juniper knowing what would come next and prepared with the right reactions. They were going to scold her and she was going to look apologetic. Piece o' cake.
Blue eyes shifted from one to the other, giving them both her seemingly undivided attention as they got out their lines.

First act down, three more to go. Nerves were gone… well for the most part. Now at least the third year didn’t feel like she was going to throw up anymore and the butterflies were gone.
At the raise of the curtain they were in the garden, angry looks were given to Amata. Yeah. what Asha said…
”Only one can bathe in the Fountain! It was already going to be hard enough to decide which of us would bathe in it!” Crossing her arms, only one of them could do the bathing.

The next bit was pretty easy for her. All she really had to do was stand there looking at a loss for words while 'Altheda' and 'Asha' scolded her about whoever getting the right to bathe in the fountain once they got there. She kept her gaze moving between them, settling on whoever happened to be scolding at that particular time while Flynn got his lines out as Sir Luckless.
For as much as she could help it, she made sure she didn't look as if she noticed him over there appraising them. Until her cue, he technically did not exist to her.
Finally, when the line was spoken offering to be the one to go over the wall if it pleased them, Jessa put on her most severe of expressions--intending to mimic a glare--then turned to face the knight.
"Faint heart! Draw your sword, Knight. You can help us reach our goal."
Aaaaaannnndddd exit scene? Yes, she turned on her heels and made for the designated spot while the curtains began to lower, signaling the end of Act 2 Scene 1.
