A set of paths link the Courtyard to almost every area of the Grounds. Walking upon these stone covered paths, lined with all sorts of trees is a lovely way to clear your mind after a long day of classes. This is a quiet area of the Grounds with the soft sound of leaves rustling in the wind or lightly crunching below your feet.

Take a walk with a friend, find an unoccupied bench to read a book, climb one of the many trees, smell the roses or play hide and seek in the thick vegetation. Be sure not to trample any of the flowers unless you personally want to hurt Mr. Baldvinsson’s feelings.

Doesn’t the air just seem fresher around here somehow?

"If it's keeping well that you're trying to do, I don't entirely recommend walking the grounds with the weather going the way it is." Wasn't exactly like things were getting warmer. "Unless it's not that sort of illness in the first place. What had you at the Healer if I may ask?" There was no cure for a curious mind but answers. Questions would need to be asked.

Kimi smiled at Jessa and said "I am wrapped up warmly underneath my cloak i have more than one layer on and as for the visits to the healer it is just for general things like exhaustion and stuff like that nothing that is bad enough that would keep me inside the castle" Kimi knew that he would have hated being stuck inside the castle if he was seriously ill he wouldn't have been at school in the first place anyway

"Oh, well if it's got nothing to do with the weather, I suppose you've got nothing to really worry about." She continued walking, not particularly bothered if he decided to follow along. It would be lunch soon and she wanted to get through her walk before having to head back inside. "There's potions to help with that. Keep you healthy and away from the Hospital Wing. Maybe you could ask our Potions Professor about it."

A perfectly practical wish. Jessa nodded her understanding. "I get that. There's so much to see and do that having to be locked up in the Hospital Wing can sometimes feel like torture." Nothing to do but stare at the walls and wait to be healed. "I'm there pretty often myself, but that's just one of those...those....occupational hazards....sorta."

She'd never been to St. Mungo's before but she'd definitely heard about it. The Ravenclaw would be lying if she said she wasn't even a little curious. "But what sort of illness is it? Does it have a name?"

Jessa had been taken aback by his declaration. A name he couldn't remember? Not really paying attention to what the Healer's said? If it was her with a complicated illness, she'd wanna know everything she could--she'd also probably freak out a little depending on how severe it was but that was just her. "Sure, yeah, I'd like that." Because now she was even more curious. "Do you have to take potions for it?"

After the ancient runes lesson at the barn, Ava decided to take a walk around the pathways for a while instead going back to the castle. She wanted to enjoy the breezy winter and snow. The Gryffindor wasn't alone though, she asked Skylar to walk with her. There was no exact purpose why she wanted the Slytherin girl to accompany her, she just wanted her to be a company.

Well, Ava wanted to ask about the stuff between her and Brent Westwood, since that Slytherin champion had asked her out in front of many people while he's in the middle of competition. But probably it wasn't really her place to know about that. Instead, Ava asked about her brother. "So, how's Noah?" Probably this was a good topic to open the conversation.

Noah? That was what she wanted to ask about? Sure they were in the same year, but still, Skylar was skeptical. "Oh, Noah, he's um ... fine. I saw him actually, recently, he visited during the last Hogsmeade weekend." When the Diggory kids tackled a boggart instead having a couple of butterbeers, but no biggie. Just another day. "I'll see him again in a couple weeks over Christmas. He's bringing Alani again." It was weird, him and Alani; she seemed like a nice girl, but he'd moved on so fast and Sky was skeptical over that too. She was just all kinds of skeptical.

Oh, that did sound kinda serious. "Is it seasonal then? Your illness. Does it only get really bad during the holidays?" That was the impression she'd gotten while she listened to him. Jessa was no Healer, and didn't know most of the illnesses out there but she knew sometimes the weather could make symptoms even worse.

While she continued walking, the young girl glanced up at the trees. The were currently covered in a thin layer of snow. Soon all of the grounds would be covered.

It was quiet surprising that Skylar wanted to accompany her. She's just being friendly and wanted to know her more because they didn't talk pretty much. Probably the Slytherin girl thought that it was kind of weird but Ava tried her best to make this as casual as possible. Hence why she brought up about Noah.

"Oh, that's good." The Gryffindor nodded. "He is being home-schooled, right?" Because Ava didn't heard if the (former) Ravenclaw boy was transferring to another school. She should owl him sometime. Even though he and Noelle had broken up and she's her best friend, it wouldn't mean that Ava stopped befriending him, right? She perked up as Skylar mentioned a girl's name. Alani? Walking along the pathway, Skylar had to admit it was easing her tensions just a bit. There was something serene about the Hogwarts campus and despite the aggravations of some of its occupants, the castle was home.

"Mm, yes, home-schooled," At least that's what she was told, which was weird and she felt like wasn't the whole story. But she couldn't force her family to tell her everything. Oh, perhaps she shouldn't have brought up Alani. "Uh, honestly? ... I have no idea. He met her over the summer in Hawaii and I'm not sure what their status is." The weather seemed to be chillier, but thankfully Ava had cast insulation charm to herself before leaving the barn earlier. She listened to Skylar's story about her brother's new girl... Oh, so it was like an extended summer romance, right? Haha, The Gryffindor had been in a relationship for quiet a long time so she'd never experience those kind of romance... It's not that she regretted her relationship because Phillip had made her world turned upside down, in a good way obviously.

Oops... Whenever Ava thought about her boyfriend, sometimes she could forget her surrounding. Her bad, yeah. "It seems like he's happy with this Alani girl." She nodded. That was the only thing that Ava could say because she didn't want to judge Noah. And probably that was just not an act of rebound after Noelle decided to break up with him.

"I can't wait for the holiday break either, hopefully the professors wouldn't ruin it by burdening us with homework." She chuckled. Ava still couldn't decide if she's going back to her parents and make amends with them or... Staying here. "I mostly can't wait for that because I become a best girl on an old's friend wedding... Well, he's like a brother to me." Eeeeeepp, Adi and Benny would be married in less than a month! Ava just couldn't feel very much happier for both of them.

And now the topic turned to the social event. She was actually really excited about it for many reasons, one being her date and two being her outfit, which she thought she looked pretty amazing in. But of course, Ava would ask about if she was going with someone and while it was pretty public of who asked her out (in general), it wasn't as public that she accepted the offer to be his girlfriend. "Mm, Actually, yes, I am," she said mysteriously, "And I guess you're going with Phillip?"

Sky nodded, when Ava appreciated her congratulations. She should be excited. Weddings were good times like that.
