Assuming he was off just eating rats or even the occasional pygmy puff Eddie figured it wouldn't be too hard to find him.

Looking around as he started out to the courtyard he was sort of hoping he'd find the snake moving around. "Haven't seen a snake have you?" His eyes on the ground still he hadn't even noticed who the person was. As he observed the area is was obvious that a snake wasn't around so he finally looked up.

"Oh"

It was her.

Ideally, Liv had been hoping for someone a bit older, so this would end up being less awkward, but...then again, children were supposed to be gullible. Ugh, she hated that she thought this, but it wasn't wrong. She'd been a gullible idiot at one point in her life.... Not that she was calling this boy an idiot. In fact, the Gryffindor didn't even know this smol Slytherin boy; only knowing his house from seeing him in lessons.

Hm.

"Hello, there." Ever pleasant, as she had zero clue that it had been he who had attacked her with poison back in February. the blonde offered a small wave. Oh, he'd been looking for a snake. His pet, maybe?..."I'm sorry, I haven't seen any snakes...save for you." Har har. Wasn't she clever? "....but I was wondering if you'd help me with something." The blonde kept her voice light and cheerful.

....And so he didn't get any bad thoughts at her vagueness, she withdrew the Amortentia phial from her pocket. "I need to test this out."

He watched her for a moment as she... made a joke? He looked for only a second before he started to laugh, yes it might have been a bit of a forced laugh, but it wouldn't come across that way.
"You are so funny, that was a good one. The only snake being me."
He glanced around realizing only then that yeah he was the only one at that moment. "Charley got away from me and I was hoping he was headed out to do some hunting, but I'll probably find him or one of his friends at the lake." He would go there soon, but something she said made him stop.

'You need my help?" He looked at her curiously, no one had asked him for help. He kept to himself enough and didn't make many friends to make sure that never happened. He watched as she put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a vial. He took a defensive step back. Did she know? How? It was a random cupcake and he made sure traces wouldn't come back, but did he some how screw up?

"Will it make me sick?" It was a class thing, wasn't it? He kind of remembered paying attention, but not really with the extra credit stuff. He still wasn't that trusting right off the bat.

None the wiser at his forced reaction, the blonde simply smiled, ducking her head slightly. Perhaps he'd overdone it with the laughing just a bit... "I'll be on the lookout later, if it'll help." Because she did that sort of thing for others. Helped, even when it wasn't wanted, but you know....? There was nothing to be done about that.

Shyly, she reached in her pocket for the second phial, containing the Anti-Love bit. "I mean, I think I just need to know if it works." Professor Canterbury hadn't mentioned anything other than simply going and testing it out. With permission, common sense dictated. "It's love potion." In the name of full disclosure..."And this is an antidote." She was presenting the second phial to him.

Why were people easily so nice? This was something he had watched over and over the last two terms and he didn't get it. There wouldn't be a reward nor would he do anything for finding it. People were only good if they could be used in some way, so unless he had a purpose for them he wasn't going to go out of his way to help him.
"Thanks, if you find him that would be great."

His eyes on the vial he watched as she pulled something else out.
"So basically you want me to take that, most likely fall in love with you and then you'll snap me out of it?"
Which is what he wanted, because love was useless and he didn't understand why people had to have it. Maybe this experiment could help him figure that out, see what the big deal was.

So he talked himself into it and lifted his hand. Just for his own purpose of figuring out why love was so important. "Why do you think this potion was made? Was someone that desperate for love or did they want someone to do something for them? " Now that could be a good idea. Maybe he should stash some of this in his supplies.

Later, right now he would do this. "Okay I'll give it a try."

Olivia listened intently to him talking, nodding quickly as he agreed to her help in finding the creature. It wasn't difficult for her to offer kindness when it was simply fundamental to her as a person. It was just what Liv was: nice, which hurt her more than it should have. Even when someone had tried to kill her, she'd fought to rejoin her peers, adamant in finishing out the school term among friends. But also defiant in that no one would make her feel too scared to do something.

This often lead to many win/lose situations.

As he began speaking again, in agreement, the blonde plastered a false smile to her face. No, she didn't want anyone to ever fall in love with her again. This was purely for the sake of her grade, but she did not say all this to him. Instead, she simply nodded her blonde fringe. "It might seem barbaric, but yes...I plan to give you the antidote after a few moments." It would've been too strange for her, otherwise. You know, with her being so much older than he was...and her heart already belonging completely to someone else. Against her will, mind...but there wasn't a cure for feelings. She couldn't help it.

.....Huh? "I mean...I think it's 100% wrong to take away someone's choice. That is never okay. People should be allowed to think for themselves, and this basically robs them of their own mind." So, yeah. garner from that what you will, smol child.

With her own nod, she dropped the first phial in his hand. "Drink up."

Wrong and barbaric were words he actually liked to hear. That meant they were fun and a challenge. Yeah, he was adding this stuff to his stash for later use. He'd have to maybe make it at some point or just buy it from a student. He realized a few weeks ago people were always selling things around this castle. "Well, of course, it's wrong, but I think everyone that does use it knows this." At least he figured they did unless they were just that dumb or something.

Taking the vial he looked it over for a moment and then looked around.
He figured he didn't need to find an extra person to fall for, this one was enough. "Well here goes." He lifted it to his lips and swallowed it.
Hopefully, she wasn't lying and he wouldn't be dead in a matter of moments. "Doesn't have too much of a taste to it." He tried to figure out what it tasted like.

Though after a few moments he was smiling weirdly towards her and looking at her a bit different than he did before.

He would encourage her asking questions of him. He was really great and patient with her. She nodded. "Yeah, he's always tried to provide me with help." Olivia smiled. She had a great brother. She was lucky with him. Her eldest brother tried to keep to himself usually. And for OWLs.... "I feel pretty confident.. I'm worried about Ancient Runes but I've been spending a lot of time trying to understand all of our lessons. It's been slow but I have a study group." It was her, Torrance, and a few others. A great idea for a study group.

She hadn't thought of them being so complex as beings... Olivia frowned, feeling a little silly that she hadn't even thought such a thing. It had never crossed her mind. But Professor Netwon was right. Peeves had reverted back to his original self. She nodded in agreement at Professor Newton's words about Peeves and poltergeists being more complex. "It seems as if he's almost forgotten about what happened last year.... Does the memory charm work on poltergeists?"

Hopefully Olivia would feel more inclined to ask her brother for help now, though of course it was okay if she didn't. Rosalyn knew that she was a smart girl and could figure things out, it just was that people needed a push and assistance in learning. That was the entire reason why schools existed and the basis for her career. "Well, that's great and I am sure that he would help you with Ancient Runes if you asked him. I'm glad that you have a study group though. I'm sure that you will all do wonderfully." Unfortunately she herself was more than useless when it came to Ancient Runes as that had never been a forte for her. In fact she had gotten a P on that exam... though Olivia didn't need to know that.

Nod. That was a very good summation of what had happened. Rosalyn felt that this was how Peeves had preferred things even if he had developed a fondness for Miffy and probably missed her. "You know, I have no idea. I know that there are hexes that work on them, but I hadn't thought about memory charms. Maybe Professor Marchand would know." Since charms was his expertise and all.

At some point, people should know when to shut their mouths, but unfortunately, Olivia Lynn Phillips was not one of these people. Of course, she couldn't possibly know the boy's intentions with this information, but... Still. "It's important to intervene if you see this happening, too. Sometimes people need help and it's perfectly okay to offer it when they could be in a distressing situation." Not to get too preachy, but seriously. Olivia wasn't condoning the use of Love potions here to rob people of their lives. Remember the story of Voldemort's mother?

....

............

....................Okay, this was strange...and er? Possibly because she knew that he'd taken her love potion and was now, essentially, in love with her. Even if faked, it was....too weird for her liking.

"Here, drink this."

What was this feeling he was feeling? This girl was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. "I'm glad you didn't die, it would be a shame for you to not grace the castle with your beautiful smile." He couldn't stop looking at her, did she know how beautiful she was? "Your hair in the sun shines so brightly, it is so much prettier now that the red isn't in it anymore." Even though he was full of love it didn't stop his dumbness on the way he talked, unfortunately.

"I don't typically think girls are worth my time, but you are certainly worth it. Can I hold your hand or maybe pick you some flowers."
Yes, he needed flowers, all girls needed flowers, his mother had told him that once. He started to look around when he heard her say something. Her voice was a lovely song and he looked at her hand. "You want me to drink something? Anything you are giving me is the best gift there is."

But he still had nothing for her, not hat wouldn't work. He hurried over to the corner where some flowers were growing and picked a few. "Here these are for you." His smile weirdly big as he took the other vial and drank it."[/b]

......Oh, buddy.

Obviously, Olivia knew he didn't mean a word of it, so it had zero effect on her, but it was still uber strange to hear, nonetheless. "Kid, trust me. Take that potion I just handed you." And to be fair, he had agreed knowing full well what the said potion was, so Liv didn't feel too terrible, but gosh, it was still...just wrong.... Even as he seemed to rush around, gappling for a gift to give her, the blonde found herself backing away. In fact...it made her a little sad, but that was something to think about later. In private. Not out here in the open.

"Remember? You were looking for your pet..."

Okay, it had worked. Hopefully the antidote would have the same speedy effectiveness. Note to self: even if agreed upon, no more ickles.

At the moment he would do whatever she said so, of course, he took the potion she had handed him. Drinking it in one gulp he gave her an odd look. The taste was gross, but if she wanted him to eat mud he would right now. "Have you eaten, we should get something to eat. I could make sure the house elves fix you.."

His voice slowed and he blinked at his own words he was saying. What the hell? He took a step back because he was closer to her than he wanted to be. He looked around hoping no one was around to see that because that was all Edward Jay Blaze Jr. needed, someone to think he was soft.

"Yes my snake, I need to go find him or even just another at the lake." He nodded and headed away at least now if one day he needed an older student to help him he might possibly be able to cash in a favor for doing this.
