credit: hermionesclone Set against a wall in the common room, badgers will find large wooden tables sitting beside an old bookcase. The bookcase has been filled with reading material pertaining to all subjects, a few muggle classics peppered in the mix thanks to your former Head of House, Professor Moxley. There are also a variety of new plants scattered about, since Myers recently took to decorating the common room to give it a very positive vibe! The portraits on the wall of noteable Hufflepuffs throughout Hogwarts history are inspiration enough for any badger, so why not pull up a seat and get to work? The study tables are the perfect place to do so.

So, the tables were not being used for studying! NOT TODAY! Paul had put GLORIOUS AND COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF FOOD on each study table. Like a buffet, right? He had filled the place with...AMERICAN FOOD.
FRIED PICKLES.
FRIED.....EVERYTHING'? Didn't Americans fry everything?
HAMBURGERS.
FRIES.
COOKIES THAT WERE CALLED COOKIES.
Basically, food his students had all had before, but he just liked the idea of calling it AMERICAN food.
"COME ON EVERYONE!" There was a HUUUUUGEEEEEE CAKE with Carl and Etta's face PLASTERED ON TOP. "CONGRATULATE OUR CHAMPIONS!"

Hattie loved a good party. She was a pretty social person, so she loved a good party. And they had to celebrate having two amazing champions. So it was going to be a great party! And Professor Myers was great! So Hattie was really excited.
"Hi Professor!" The fourth year beamed as she approached him, and the study areas. There was so much food but there was nobody else there yet.
but Cake!
Oh.
"Do we have to eat their faces?" Because that seemed kinda weird. But cake. Yummy!

Etta stifled a laugh at Paul's excitement. He really was the most fun-loving professor at Hogwarts and she was glad he was their head of house. Extremely glad. She had been standing in a corner somewhere but moved a little closer when he yelled for everyone to gather around. But then, the HORROR.
Her eyes widened when she saw her face-- HER face-- and Carl's on the cake. WHAT. "Professor!" She exclaimed, not sure what to think. It looked fantastic but... uh.. it was a bit weird. But obviously, she decided to be gracious about it. Clearing her throat, she smiled at Professor Paul.
"The cake looks great, professor." The smile on her face turning into a grin, momentarily forgetting her anxiety about the upcoming competition. It would be better if she concentrated on food and cake for now, yes.

Yay people were hereeeee! ONE OF THEM BEING HENRIETTA HERSELF!!! Paul BEaMED. "YES YES HELLO! Henriettttta!" And Paul couldn't help himself. He gave her a great big hug! "Congrats! Yes, the CAKE!" he bounced a little. "I have my banjo so we can have some MUSIC and we have all this FOOD and just--" He was about to EXPLODE WITH EXCITEMENT. LKFHERGHITHGIRTHIU2TRHGIURHG
"And of course we have to eat the CAKE!" he told Hattie. "It will be delicious. I had it SPECIALLY ordered for this, you know." Snappy delivery too!
Paul was being very loud.

Isa could hear something going on in the common room, and she was pretty sure she had heard someone say something about cake. Curious about what was happening, she followed Professor Myers' voice over to the study tables where it seemed like they were having a celebration for the Hufflepuff IMPS competitors. "Hello Professor Myers! Hello Hattie! Hello Etta! Congratulations and good luck, Etta!" Isa greeted her head of house and fellow Hufflepuffs as she waltzed over to investigate the food. Burgers and fried stuff. Ew, she couldn't even eat hamburgers because meat and all of that fried stuff looked gross. "Please tell me you have healthy vegetarian food available." If not she was going to go have to go get some food for herself from the conveniently nearby kitchens. Cookies and cake were good, but sweets needed to be eaten in moderation.
