START HERE! Patient's Check-In Area Down the third-floor corridor and towards the main door of the Hospital Wing, you will find yourself in a relatively warm and cosy antechamber. On both sides, you will see wooden benches long enough to seat at least 10 people. This is where the patient or companions of the patient wait and fill out the Emergency Form provided by Healer Reed.

A silvery platypus glided into the waiting area in search of the healer. It spoke in Professor Marchand's thick French accent, "At least three students have been burned by a heating charm gone awry. I'm sending them to the hospital wing, they should arrive momentarily. More injured students could follow." |
Olivia had made it to the Hospital Wing in record time, considering it was on the same floor as the Charms classroom. Convenient that was, for her sake. The usually happy blonde didn't want anyone to see her like this; her FACE disfigured... Okay, that was extreme...but it wasn't a lie. Liv didn't want anyone to see her face blistered and irritated as it most likely was now. No, she hadn't caught a glimpse of herself, post butter incident...but she could only imagine the sorry state of her green face makeup... There had been tears, on top of the burns...so she probably resembled the real Wicked Witch of the West now, mid-melting scene. Visibly dishevel and shaken, she took a seat and waited; lifting her hands to unpin the couture hair from atop her head. It was all ruined, anyway. No use in keeping it on. SPOILER!!: More OOC, anyway |
Melbourne had made it! Her short legs had made it slightly harder to reach the Hospital Wing at the (most likely) record speed that Olivia had…but still, she was there. Even with burns on her hand she was more worried about Liv and her cheek – that had looked utterly dreadful and faces. Faces were far more sensitive than hands ever would be. |
Etta reached the hospital wing soon enough, trying really hard to NOT cry.. which really was an effort. The pain seemed to be getting worse with each second.. she checked her arm once again and tried to not cringe. It hurt, it really hurt. It looked terrible too. She noticed her fellow classmates but plopped down on a chair next to Liv, without saying a word. Honestly, talking would just make her sob and she had no intention of embarrassing herself. Instead, she just closed her eyes and took deep breaths, wishing and hoping the Healer would see them soon. Please, please. |
SPOILER!!: These girls! Olivia had just been sitting there despondently holding her cheek with a gentle hand. The skin was already pulling tight, making it sting every time she inhaled. It was just like the time her whole face had gotten sunburnt at Disney World: Orlando. The sun was so hot there. Glancing to her side at Mel, the blonde offered a pitiful, tear-stained smile. Or, an almost smile, anyway. The huge blister didn't allow for much movement. "Thank you." The two words were quiet and sad. Like Etta, she'd gone back to simply sitting there in silence, hoping Healer Reed would hurry up. Liv didn't want a nasty scar, but figured it was a moot point. She already had so many others. It made perfect sense that her face would eventually get the same treatment. |
Emmeline was still As she looked around the room, she noticed Olivia, Etta, and Mel were already here and her heart broke a little bit for them because their injuries didn't look too good either. Where was the healer person? That was when she noticed the form. She was supposed to write stuff with her right arm like this? Hadn't Professor Marchand sent that thing ahead of them? Sighing heavily, the first year dug a quill out of her bag and filled the dumb thing out sloppily with her left hand. It wasn't really readable, but everything hurt and she didn't really care. Abandoning the parchment, she moved to sit with the older girls and left a seat open on her other side for Derf to sit if he wanted to. She couldn't say anything out loud though, because she was worried that her voice wouldn't be too steady and then Derf would feel worse. Please hurry, Mr. Healer. SPOILER!!: form |
SPOILER!!: Girls from Charms Class! River had been in Hirsch's office, discussing...a very important matter when Gaston's patronus glided to where they were and gave its message. The Healer gave Roderik an apologetic look as he excused himself out of his office. Their dilemma will have to wait, apparently. Taking two, three steps at a time, River rushed to the Hospital Wing, his black robes billowing behind him as he made exact, confident strides towards the huddled group his eyes already focusing on the burns on their skins. As he closed in towards the girls, the filled out forms found its way to him snatching each in mid-air while his eyes were still trained on the students' injuries. With a wave of his wand, River sent a patronus looking for Levi. The accident wasn't a serious one, in Healer's terms at least, therefore it would be the perfect chance for the Gryffindor to help out. The Healer started with the youngest, Miss Emmeline Sparkes, gently pulling her injured arm towards him and took a good look at the formed blisters on her skin. With an expert slashing motion of his wand, the fabric that was stuck on Emmeline's arm were torn neatly into two, revealing the whole extent of her injury. River was quick to siphon the remaining butter that was on her skin before continuing his assessment. With a sharp whistle, Roscoe and Bumi, his giant Newfoundland dogs emerged from his office wearing their first aid kit dog vests. River fished out a tube of burn-healing paste and applied it to the skin surrounding the blisters. He'd have to deal with the blisters itself later on. "You'll be alright, Miss Sparkes. We'll mend your uniform when we're done," River gave the first year a reassuring grin while Bumi was quick to put his furry head on Emmeline's lap. 'Pet me, hooman!' River did the same for Etta and Melbourne, cleaning their burns, and then applying the paste with wooden tongue depressors (or popsicle sticks, in layman's terms), reassuring them that everything will be okay. "You just have to let the paste sit for a few minutes, and then we'll work on the scar." He knew that reverting their skin back to normal was a huge deal for these girls. Last but not least was Olivia. River sighed and gently tugged away Olivia's hand from her face. "Let me see, Miss Phillips." the Healer gently turned Olivia's head to the side and examined the extent of her injury. Since the face was more sensitive, he'd have to use a more potent potion for her burn. With a tap and swish of his wand, Olivia's makeup vanished, and her hair turned back to its normal style and shade. River gently slathered some healing paste on Olivia's burned skin, and afterwards gave his work a good look. "I need to make sure that the burn will not leave any scars. Follow Roscoe and Bumi and wait for me inside while I collect your potions." With a friendly grin and nod, the doors to the main ward opened and River gestured for the girls to go in. OOC: So sorry for the wait you guys! I just got back from a business trip, so it took me a while to reply. Post away in Bed 3! ^^ |
