| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Not only was Henry excited when he found out that he was one of the sixth years to get to duel one of the teachers, but he was even more so when he found out that teacher was Mr. B! How cool was that? And he wore a big grin as he stepped into the dueling arena, barely able to contain his excitement. "Hey, Mr. B!" He gave the man a cheerful wave before remembering his dueling etiquette and bowing as well. "May the best dueler win!" Good sportsmanship was important. And he really had no idea what kind of dueler his teacher was. But he was an adult, even though Henry technically was now too, and the sixth year assumed he'd be pretty awesome. He'd have to keep on his toes.
He cast Featherlight on himself first as he had learned to do in his duels. Then he'd follow with his normal distract and attack. "Bulla!" He directed a stream of bubbles to Mr. B's face to hopefully distract, then he cast, "Cantis!" Did Mr. B have a nice singing voice?

Stella Marie Reed Daily Prophet News Reporter | a bit of madness is key | miss chanandler bong | those cunning folks use any means Haraldur Baldvinsson was a simple man who liked simple things. Duelling wasn't really one of them but still, there he was. Signed, sealed, delivered as a member of professor Hirsch's dueling club. Professor "You-should-sign-up, it'll-be-fun". Hmph.
Still, it wasn't too bad. The student that was up for the duel was someone he was very familiar with, both as a student and as a fellow quidditch enthusiast.
He smiled at the Hufflepuff prefect and did a little bow back to the boy, child young man. "Evening, Mr. Whittebrook."
Then all the bubbles. All of them hit him at once. Haraldur frowned at them and stepped to the side, well aware this could be a distraction but also more than aware of the fact that he wore very vulnerable feathers on his head. They were not allowed to lose their fluffiness. "That's no way to treat an old maAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!" The cantis spell hit him straight on. Fortunately he had the vocal skills matching those of Pavarotti. At least, if he could say so himself. "FIIIIIIINIIIIIIIIIIIITEEEEEEEEE!" That'll be five dollars.
The professor fluffed his feathers with one swift hand movement and got his wand at the ready. It had been a few decades since his last duel. At least on solid ground. He quickly decided to say his spells out loud to have a more fair duel with the boy, child young man. "Fan of flying, are you Mr. Whittebrooke?" He chuckled. "Levicorpus!" After all, the quidditch player should be quite comfortable up there!

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Henry wasn't sure what to expect dueling one of his teachers, but he was really pleased to see that his distraction technique seemed to work. But, wait. Mr. B wasn't mad at him, was he? "Sorry?" Henry chuckled a bit and gave him sort of a sheepish smile, not completely sure if he was serious or not. And then, although the 17 year old was prepared to defend himself next, he wasn't really expecting his Cantis to find its mark, figuring Mr B would block it or otherwise defend against it. So he was not really prepared to be serenaded just then.
Oh, man, that was funny. And Henry couldn't help but to laugh. Oops, was that rude? "Sorry, Mr. B. But if the Groundskeeper position doesn't work out maybe you could have a shot at the opera." Because he really was not expecting that sound to come out of the man.
He really should have been paying better attention to the duel though because just as he raised his wand to defend himself, he was hit by Levicorpus. Huh. Interesting sensation hanging upside down in the air was. "I do! I might just stay here a while," he chuckled. And instead of counteracting the spell just yet, he cast an upside-down "Avis! Oppugno!" Might be funny if those birds made a nest in Mr. B's feathers. Hehe.

| urine trouble | Pat's Strong Confident Other Half | Pees Like a Champion Unicorn Racehorse Hirsch was glad that after much persuasion, Haraldur had agreed to taking part in this duel. He did want Mr Whittebrook to be challenged and to gain more experience, and what better way to do that than setting him up with a member of staff? Though, it did look like the Hufflpeuff Prefect wasn't the only one being challenged here. 'Sorry, Mr. B. But if the Groundskeeper position doesn't work out maybe you could have a shot at the opera.'
Before he could stop himself, before he could try and maintain a look of professionalism, the man had burst out laughing. This was not something he was going to forget anytime soon and it wasn't something he was going to let Haraldur forget either. Though, it got Hirsch wondering just how long Haraldur has been hiding those vocal skills and, grinning mischievously, whether a trip to Hogsmeade would make him start singing again.
Right. Duel. Concentrate.
He struck up a shield when the time was up, indicating the end of the duel. Moving forwards, the Defence professor cushioned the ground beneath the Prefect before casting a quick Liberacorpus to let him down. "Excellent! You did brilliantly, Mr Whittebrook, very well done! You should be proud." He had questions about nonverbals but maybe that was something that could wait. "I didn't know you could sing, Haraldur," he said, turning to the Groundskeeper and smirking slightly, "Thank you for saying you'll do this. I'll buy you a drink next time we're in Hogsmeade." To say thank you.
