In the depths of the dungeons, one might find themselves stepping on something sticky. Looking down you will find that you are standing in a pit covered in slime. Though what is the source to this layer on slime on the ground? The answer to that question is a simple one: a nasty infestation of slugs that have found refuge here. Tread carefully as you walk across the pit or you'll find yourself covered from head to toe in the lime green goo and maybe a few slugs in your hair.

On the plus side, at least you know where to find an endless supply of slugs should you need them for Potions class.

Ooooh yes the slug pit was still here. Eddie was very happy to have found this gem still standing. He needed these slugs and he knew no one would even miss them. Charles wouldn't like to eat them, but he could easily use them for other things. His sisters bag was the first place they were going to go once he had caught a few.

He pulled out his cup that he had yanked from the Great Hall and now he stood near the pit without getting in. Could he just lean over and grab some without getting in there. He didn't want to get slime all over him. No, if he could resist it he would.

So he got as close as possible and leaned down with his cup. Here sluggy sluggy sluggy, time to get into the cup.

"Eww...eww...disgusting!" Lorelei exclaimed, carefully moving closer to the slug pit. Despite her best efforts, however, she tripped over her feet and fell onto the ground, nearly knocking over another student who was there collecting slugs.

"Sorry! I'm so sorry...me and my stupid feet...I'm so clumsy sometimes!" she exclaimed, feeling her face grow red as she hastily tried to wipe slugs off of her skirt. She looked around for a moment. "This is one creepy place."

If he had a clue someone was near him Eddie didn't act like he noticed and so when the first year came towards him and then fell almost into him he jumped and when he jumped he jumped smack into the pit. Even with shoes, he felt the squish of the slugs and the spray of the slime that splattered in all directions. Damn it he might never get this out.

Well since he was in there though...

He reached in and started picking up the slugs throwing them not very nicely into the cup. "You might want to watch what you are doing around here. You are either going to fall into a hole and never come out or you are going to run into the wrong person and end up eating these slugs." He looked back down to see if he had anything else to put some of the slime into. He could really use the slime to experiment with.

"Whatcha doing down here anyway? You are a bit far from home." The Ravenclaw tower was pretty far up, so it was interesting to see the first year in the dungeons when they weren't a snake.

"Oh, you know...just exploring the castle." Lorelei replied, shrugging. "I was curious to see what else was down here besides the Potions classroom." She reached down and picked up a slug and looked closely at it. "Are there many Potions that you have to have slugs for?"

Lorelei put the slug down a moment later and glanced at the other student. "Did it take you long to get used to living down here? "

He watched her a bit curiously before going back to his slugs, "Yeah there are a few that I know of, but probably more. I don't know them all yet." He took his wand out to try and start cleaning up his robe. Did the girl really get off without any slime when they shot out? She must be a lucky one, maybe he needed to keep her around.

Looking back at the slime he thought maybe he could get a few more slugs into the cup. Taking his hand he leaned back down to gather them. "Got anything you could put slugs into?" Maybe he could get double if she did. "Not much else down here. There is a cranky portrait that likes to tell none Slytherins to go away at times." He pointed towards the corridor where she was.

"No, it wasn't an adjustment at all. Living down here is awesome."
