The Shrieking Shack is positioned up a slope from the Three Broomsticks and is accessible to all who take the muddy and puddled pathway up and down the hillside to get there. Though much of its history has been revealed to wizardkind, the place is still eerie as ever and continues to hold the reputation as the "most haunted house in Britain." If you listen or look carefully, maybe you will hear a noise sound or see a flicker of light come from inside.
Still the windows and doors of the house are boarded shut with wood. No one may enter or exit the premises through those openings without breaking and entering. It would be advised to simply stand on the other side of the fence that surrounds the property and enjoy the home and its dank overgrown garden from a safe distance. You never know what could be lurking about inside that dusty run-down place after all these years...
Kyle made his way to the Shrieking Shack where he had intended to meet Jace. He looked at the fence as he walked toward it, thinking about what his father had told him. The last Game... it all started here with a conversation between him, Slade, Xana, and Claudian. He shuddered. Maybe this wasn't the best place to meet. Did Jace know? Had Alex known what had transpired here? Probably not. He looked around for other students coming this way and wondered if this was a popular meeting ground.
Kyle smirked. "You have no idea..." He looked at the Shrieking Shack again and could almost hear Thanatos's laughter. Shaking his head, he put the thought out of his mind and looked at Jace. "So, our first time in Hogsmeade. What should we do?"
Jace frowned and glanced at the shack one last time, "I'm not sure but lets get out here that place gives me the creeps...Isn't there a candy store in town?" Jace smiled mischievously.
The old boarded up building had always called to her. The brunette tugged at her braid trying to insure that it was still very much in place. A red and gold knitted woolen sat on her head almost pillowing off of her head; the puffball on the top of it almost begging to be tugged.
Standing there, her eyes searing the derelict house for any sign of life was something she always did on Hogsmeade weekends. Today Mel wasn’t just doing this alone, she was waiting for Kirk to arrive….where was that guy? Was he ever going to show up she had M A J O R jarvey news to share with team Jarvey.

Hogsmeade weekend was here once again for Kirk. Trips to the village satisfied his lil adventures and discoveries. The fifteen-year-old had taken his time walking through the castle to meet up with Mel. Taking in the sights was his thing, after all.
Now then.. the Shrieking Shack. Kirk had just about avoided a collision with two little guys when he spotted his fellow partner-in-creatures. Fashion was not his thing, but he could tell she looked well put together. "Mel." He called out before joining her as he leaned against one of the wooden posts showcasing the shack in view. She looked a little anxious though, had she had been waiting very long? "What's up?" Or did she have something to spill? He didn't know.
Melbourne grinned when she heard her name being called by her fellow Team Jarvey member. ”Kirk! You made it…I mean I knew you would but heeeeeeey you’re here” Mel grinned over to the fifth teen year old Ravenclaw boy. Don’t just stare that is rude, Mel thought to herself as she started moving closer to the boy.
Sure, she was anxious but that was a constant state when friends were competing in a very possibly deadly competition. ”I have amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing news for you!” Melbourne grinned over to him her eyes lighting up with what could only be pure joy.
”I HAVE A JARVEY!...” she had screamed it – heh…oops. ”You have to meet her! She’s a baby…like I did the care of magical creatures raising a baby animal thing and I was assigned a Jarvey! JARVEY” was it ever more evident that she was excited, probably not. Still her excitement probably hid the fact that her eyes had lingered possibly a bit too long…why were Hogwarts boys so…ugh??

Kirk smiled as Mel walked closer to him. They had been close friends for some time if one had asked him. It was funny though, there was a familiar spark in her beaming eyes the longer he stared back. "Yeah?" It was kind of like spotting Venus in the night sky. He blinked as soon as he heard she had some amazing news..
"No way... really?!" Did she scream it? Because for some reason to Kirk it sounded like it came from a distance compared to what was in his head. He had considered doing the magical creatures thing, but- "Well, I'm there then.. Did you name her already? Does this mean you'll be watching her the whole year?" And maybe even more? If so, he was jelly underneath those questions he had burning to ask.
Was this it? Was this the most haunted house it Britain?
Blakeney stopped just outside of the fence that surrounded the old shack. It did not loo very haunted. Well it did but not as scary as other that she had seen. But was scarier than other that she had seen before.
She wanted to get closer, but dare yet she would need a buddy. There was no way she was going in alone. What if she needed someone to back up her story of how haunted the place really was. She looked around to see if any one was around who she could grab and take her.
Sigh;
Well here she goes, one leg on the other side of the fence, and her body ducked down to go in between the two barberd wired fences.
Rippppp.
What was that? She was stuck to the fence by the hood of her hoodie. Whelp this was embarrassing. She tried to reach around and only ripped the hood more. Opps.

The Shrieking Shack was so dilapidated that Rachel found it hard to believe (for just a moment) that it was still standing. "Of course,'' she thought to herself a second later. "Magic is quite possibly holding it up.'' These thoughts had been playing out in her head as she approached the structure but now she stopped moving towards it, standing at a distance.
Did she want to go closer?
A piece of her did and a piece of her didn't.
"Don't be silly, Rachel Skye Watson. What if there are terrifying ghosts there?'' She wrinkled her nose as she observed more mud. She didn't want to slip in that anyway.

Valentine's Day, why was it Valentine's Day that they got to go to Hogsmeade. Honestly, all the stupid couples were already on his nerves. Wasn't the castle bad enough with the flowers and balloons, but now they had to deal with it here. As soon as he broke away from the crowd Kyle took a quick turn and took off towards the shack. If nothing else he'd hide there the entire day.
Though what if there were kissing couples in the shack?
UGH
UGH
UGH
Nope, he was going to go anyway. As he walked he couldn't help but notice the girl standing there watching the house. As he walked closer he heard her words. "Scared are we? The ghost in there will hurt you about as much as the ghost in the castle." Giving her a smile he headed towards the door.
"You coming?" Mid as well have a partner in crime if she was game.

Rachel's curiosity about the Shack was at it's peak but the thoughts of ghosts made her hold her ground. She'd heard so much about it and knew the history of how it was used by one Remus Lupin many, many years ago for his transformation into a werewolf. A voice interrupted her thoughts and brown eyes found Kyle. A smile immediately formed.
"Hello, Kyle.'' Goodness! He had heard her? "A bit,'' the Ravenclaw admitted. "Really? Are you sure?'' She hesitantly took a few steps after him. There was still some mud about and she was rather careful to avoid it. There was a fraction of a second of hesitation again at the question but curiosity overcame fear. "Alright, let's go. If we encounter any scary ghosts, I'll be leaving you to deal with them.'' There was a soft giggle from her as she followed him.
